I finally received my keys to the new place today. That meant a day of moving furniture and trying to get at least the kitchen into a working state. We failed on that but a singular carton of milk is spending the night in the fridge which is humming on the lowest possible setting. Shopping for food will happen on Wednesday!

I reckon I'll be able to cook from tomorrow (once I have food!) so the focus will move to the bathrooms (supplies & cleaning) then to my bedroom.

It's a big job, the place is huge compared to the apartment my daughter and I shared. We've not got 5 bedrooms, but at leats 2 of them will be utilised as dressing rooms whilst we sleep in 2 more. The fifth needs repairs so is unavailable for now. The living area, on the ground floor is big, loads of space. There's also an enclosed patio that seems to be weeds central. That will be dealt with.

The place has been empty for 18 months and had one other tenant (briefly) in the past 4 years. That meant loads of dust/dirt. All being dealt with. Under the circumstances I have loads of leeway with the owner and a low rent, this suits me fine as I don't mind getting my hands a little dirty - needed hand cream tonight though!

My daughter will join me there later in the week when I have her bedroom sorted, probably Saturday.

My family are helping, but I have no news on the clothing front, the agent for the previous apartment (this morning) was not hopeful. Whether I have to go to legal action remains an option but I hope for a simple solution. I pointed all of this out to the local housing officer who called me late afternoon for an update.

Then tonight, I was outed.

You can't leave us hanging

So how were you outed and to whom? OK, so I know that maybe a bit personal, but we're your sisters here. Being outed may not be all bad.

If you'd rather not say just what happened, you can always ignore my question. I'll never know if you read it or not.

Hugs
Patricia

Happiness is being all dressed up and HAVING some place to go.

Sorry to hear about the outing. Hope it doesn't end up hurting you in the long run.

On the house, I'd suggest moving as little as possible into the areas that you're going to use for living. That way you can clean those more than once as you move around, and then clean everything as it comes out of the 'storage' rooms.

I'll get a life when it's proven and substantiated to be better than what I'm currently experiencing.

nice to hear

Stupidity is a capital offense. A summary not indictable.

Outing

I was relaxing in a bar after a long day, the owner is also a client (website). I brushed my hair after taking off a hair band and this caused one customer (there were only 3 of us!) to object. One of the bar owners (female) explained to this customer I was TG, changing the dynamic of the place tremendously.

Ho hum

Please, I hope all was alright after that. You have us fearing the worst...

cliff hanger

Yes you are leaving us hanging in mid air, Shiraz. Sounds like the move is going full speed ahead, I wish you well with settling in. But now for the cliff hanger, you know we all hang on your every word and we all inherit the girly gossip gene, what's the outed thing? Totally selfish of me to ask but all information is gladly absorbed in case it happens to me.

Internet

I forgot to add, my phone line and fibre won't be installed for 2 weeks so net access will be sporadic either via phone or someone else's wifi (with permission!)
