Hi everyone... Time for the latest update.

They did the valve replacement today. It seems to have gone well. The surgeon was very optimistic and said that although they have her on some medications that they can only give her while in S.I.C.U. her heart is beating alot stronger than it has been as of late, and this shows that her heart is "stronger than anyone expected". He said that if the heart was as damaged as they were afraid of, that no amount of medicine would make it beat stronger. He says that "While this may change after she's off the medication, it shows a great change for recovery and improved quality of life".

As of when we had to leave the hospital, Kim was still unconscious and attached to every possible machine that they could possibly attach her to :) However, I have to say, she looked healthier than she has in YEARS! maybe it is because of the I.V.'s and the Ventilator or whatever else she's attached to, but despite the tubes, she looked HEALTHY!

My life got better today when I heard this news and saw these results. She's got a long way to go, but the doctors say she'll probably be home in 7-10 days.

It's a large weight off my mind, and a small bit of worry gone from my heart. I love her dearly and cherish her beyond belief, but I'm still a Sad Scared little girl, just not as Sad and Scared as I was :)

(P.S, They decided yesterday evening to NOT do the bypass based on the final result of the people that did the cardiac catherization)

Yeah!

That is such good news. We are all pulling for the two of you. Give her a hug for all of us.
