Gotta love Danny

It's one of my favorites, I wish it could get finished.

Like Danny, the current "The Station's Late Nite Princess" by Snowfall is extremely good.
But it's a DJ, not a musician.

I'm not sure if it's been mentioned, but "My Guitar Gently Weeps" is good.

And I love Patricia Briggs!

Oooopsies....

I'm currently reading Snowfall's The Station's Late Night Princess and cannot believe I failed to list it. I also have read Connie Alexander's While My Guitar Gently Weeps and forgot to list it, as well.

Thanks for mentioning them as they are both fun and well-written.

= Give everyone the benefit of the doubt because certainty is a fragile thing that can be shattered by one overlooked fact.

And...

We only got the first three parts (unless it's turned up elsewhere by now), but

Drummer in High Heels, by Abby Rhodes(!), on StorySite.

JEM is absolutely epic

There's so much to the story, it's really amazing.

It gives glimpses to ways of life and kinds of people I had no inkling of.

It's a very enjoyable read.

here's another

check out "The Sidereus Prophecy" on this site by OneShot20XX. It's a long story, but very well written.

Got It

Can't remember the name

but there was one about a guy whose step sister was in a band and his step mother started giving him hormones against his will. Their band becomes an opening act to a great star and he/she writes a song about his/her step mother.

A private investigator helps out and gets the info on the stop mom and her doctor.

Thank You Both

uh-huh. yeah. I'd threaten you with a spanking, but you seem to want them. I have to think of some alternative means.

Maybe soon(?)

Still writing it, having a difficult time getting one of my protagonists be a jealous bitch, but Book 2 of my K&K series will have a lot of music-based plot. Used to do sound and/or general gopher work for a number of small groups. Helped w/ audio for Up With People, the local branch. Later after I moved for college I assisted a number of groups and people. Some dude named Garth something, books or boose or whatever. Never really have cared for country, but I do have a tour shirt around somewhere.

Rock is my thing, with a minor in folk. Have a few semi-bootlegs around, but I made some promises to some people so they likely will never see the light of day. Nobody is likely to remember them anymore anyway. Worked with a guy that was on Leon Russell's road crew, some of his gear still had the spraypainted logo on the side. That was nosebleed heights for me! ;-)

If anybody follows the Austin music scene you might have heard of Jimmy LeFave. Another guy that started in the local music scene then moved to Austin.

Don't hold your breath, but maybe . . . .

I Am...

...definitely looking forward to it. I am a huge fan of the Austin music scene....especially fond of the singer/songwriter/storyteller. Texas has a long history of them.

Rebecca Anderson's novel Wild Horses is pretty intense -- I skipped about a third of it when I re-read it recently -- but the protagonist and her boyfriend spend about 25-30% of the story as featured performers in a touring rock band in the South, and music's an important part of the story.

Just added it...
