It reads just like an autobiography. Is it fiction, or was it Real Life™? All I know is, it is my story—the one I would write for myself, if only I could. Since I never had even the ghost of a prayer of creating such a life for real, it has to remain my wish fulfillment story. More than any other story I have ever heard or seen, so far, that is what it is. My wish-fulfillment story. All I can do is read it…and weep…

I really loved that series as I read it. I have it archived on my computer and re-read it occasionally.

Stories that touch our hearts

Aljan Darkmoon's picture

Apparently, it has been nine years since I first read Emily by Sarah Lynn Morgan, and that last scene is still stuck in my brain. Some stories just touch me that way, where I cannot forget them. I think this My Summer In… series will also be that way, which is why I wrote a blog instead of a comment.
