"But darling the President said to do it! I just want to 'look the part'." - Maybe he has stock in nylon stocking & cosmetic manufacturing companies. "Look the part" he said.

It will be interesting to see how this plays out. A dress code for females... nice ties for the males. Does this sound fair? May as well have fun with it, eh?

If you saw the picture of the news

In the picture that went with the news article the woman sitting by him looks very uncomfortable. I wonder if he is violating the statutes on sexual harassment?

People who demand that people change themselves to suit them, aren't very certain of who they are.

One thing's for sure...

Like him or not, Trump's doing everything in his power to make his first month as president memorable.

Wonder how long these sweeping changes of his are gonna last.

I was in HR for a long while

I was in HR for a long while and you had to be careful with dress codes. Typically that had to be BFOQ = Bona Fide Occupational Requirement. Cocktail waitresses no longer HAVE to wear 5 inch spike heels. "But did you realize that if you require a female employee to dress in “girly” clothes, that you could be guilty of gender discrimination?" and "So instead of accepting that, she filed a lawsuit that cited Title VII. She alleged that the decision not to promote her violated her right to be free of gender discrimination. In a 6-to-3 ruling, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled in her favor." Again, I was trying to have a bit of fun with current events.

His biggest problem

Trumps biggest problem with a dress code will be his top advisor, Steve Bannon.

As a woman how could I dress otherwise?

However, his idea of this and mine may differ somewhat. I wear what's suitable for the thing I'm doing and as I don't have a clothes budget of millions, I buy what I can afford and what's comfortable and it ain't haute couture, more M&S.

Let's face it...

...those stories on this site based around a company dress code were starting to look rather passé.

Now, Trump has opened up the subject all over again.

I suspect he'll soon be opening up all kinds of other subjects for our writing.
