I have a visitor in my house that does not know I am ____, and I am not planning to tell on myself. I met this man on Arabnews 11 years ago in a discussion about women driving in Saudi Arabia, and he showed himself to be a good and sympathetic man. He has 5 sisters and decided that he would like a break from being chauffeur, but it is too dangerous for women to drive there because the men are such nasty, aggressive drivers.

He has briefly stayed with me before and either has not figured me out, or simply not spoken of it as is the Saudi custom. Besides being all covered up, how could he know? Yes, for a variety of reasons, I live "covered", but don't jump to conclusions as to why.

Partially because of my encouragement, he came to America and got a Masters in Finance and because of "stupid" is now leaving to return to "The Magic Kingdom". I have been driving him around this week and he says my driving is very good, but he would not allow me to drive in his homeland. At times this feels like I am riding Occam's razor, and can barely keep myself together. Yet, he has never demonstrated a single hostile tendency to me, or anyone. He seems like he should be a movie reviewer in a news agency.

I'll freely admit that were I 40 years younger, I would marry this man and live where he wanted me to. He is the origin of many of the romantic men in my stories. Yes, being a woman does entitle me to dream unrealistic dreams.

He will get on a plane to return to KSA on Tuesday, and I expect to cry buckets when he is out of the car and gone. I simply can not hate another human being, no matter the culture, if he has demonstrated himself to in fact be an evolved human.

Please, no one contact me on phone or skype right now as that might upset the apple cart. However your prayers and good wishes would be greatly appreciated.
