Well, I ran into a brick wall with my Mercy story.

I was gonna have Faith meet with a suicidal student, but since Vantier just did that in her latest chapter, and I don't think I could top it, I need to go in another direction.

If only I knew what that direction was ...

I'm trying to bribe my muse with chocolate but no luck so far ...

Music.

I have found that if I pick the right type of music to listen to the muse comes very easily.

Bribery

I agree that a bribe of music sounds a lot better and a lot more effective than a bribe of chocolate. As the computer said, "What would I do with a life-time supply of chocolate?"

With Whateley ...

...having around 800 students. And a percentage of those students either being changed into hideous looking creatures, or forced into either the opposite sex, or now gender-less, or both genders, there would be no shortage of students that would be suicidal that Mercy could help.

How about this idea? Exemplar goes through burnout which either gives him or her severe GSD or begins to slowly change his or her sex? If student was a boy, he could have been tall gorgeous and heavily muscled, after the burnout he is either very ugly or begins losing muscle and mass becoming a girl, both disgusting to him. Or if a girl, she was part of Venus.INC and now is either ugly or changes to a guy, both disgusting to her?

We the willing, led by the unsure. Have been doing so much with so little for so long,
We are now qualified to do anything with nothing.

Trendy

It seems your the 3rd author to go with the suicide route in Whateley. First Downpour. One of Morph's girls....then Vantier...and now you. I'd suggest going to the home site and see what's going on. You never know. Might find some inspiration. Espec since the canon author's are busy with a 3 story release plan per week atm.
