God if I have to hear anymore Hold Music I am going to snap!

45 minutes on hold with the Good Old Sate DPS customer service to find out where my License is since I renewed it over a Month ago.

Now I have been on Hold with one of the local hospital for 30 minutes on hold!

If I ever find the people that designed those automated systems just to get threw to a human being, and or chose there Hold music, it will not be pretty.

I went threw what I would call Torture at the very least, good god is the Hold music chosen just to make you hange up the phone and go away.

How I manage it

I put the phone on speaker and get on with doing other things. I've done the washing up, the ironing all to the background of 'Hold Musak'. If any of the companies who have long hold times have the temerity to send a 'how did we do' email, I let rip and give them a piece of my mind. If there are any user forums, I will post there using a fake name. We have to strike back and make it known that WE the customers are not satisfied with the service we are receiving. Sadly, all too often we have not choice but to deal with them.

after spending all that time on the phone with the state DPS customer service, while she was helping me.

I made the comment about taking the person who designed there automated system out behind the barn and putting them out of all peoples common misery. She said to "take a number and get in line!". apparently even the state DPS employees feel the system is total crap.

"Cortana is watching you!"

I must have the record

My oldest daughter has a tracfone. She managed to lose it and when she called the number the person who answered was rude and refused to make arrangements to give it back. We purchased a new tracfone for her after tracfone assured us we could deactivate the old phone and transfer the phone number and remaining minutes to the new phone.

I called tracfone when I got home that night and the nice gentleman helped me to register the new phone and was able to deactivate the old phone but as unable to activate the new phone with the old number. He started a repair ticket for me and transferred me to the service department to resolve the issue. That was about five o'clock.

I sat on hold forever. I've had time to go to the bathroom twice, eat dinner and get the wife and I some ice cream for desert and eat it.

I commented that when they (assuming they actually would) answer, I really, really wanted to ask the guy if the other service tech called in sick that day...

But the wife reminded me he could put me on hold again.

After being on hold for more than 4 hours, we had to go to bed.

Hugs
Patricia
