I have been re-reading a series of comics that have got me thinking, and if you dont mind, I'd like to share a little.

The series is from the Justice league of America, and its called "the obsidian age".

The basic idea is a couple of people come from the past and try and kill the JLA, believing them to be a destructive force. They lose, but retreat to the past, and the heroes decide to follow them - and things dont go well.

What makes this series good in my opinion is the characters that are introduced. We see them as genuinely trying to do the right thing and defend the planet from a terrible threat only to discover too late they've been lied to.

The series also introduces the reader to a couple of new members for the league, with the big addition being a young girl named Faith who has massive telekinetic powers, which among other things give her "wings" to allow her to fly.

And if she sounds a tiny bit like the main character in my story "Mercy" ... well, she is.

If you like super hero comics, you might want to check the series out. I can highly recommend it.
