I ran across this piece of Software last night, courtesy of Leila, and found it to be an invaluable tool towards making an author THINK about their work as they are designing it. This way, you make fewer mistakes and have more room to correct your initial start on the work before you ever get around to posting it.
It is called Outlining Your Novel Workbook by K.M. Weiland.
This program is downloaded from Amazon.com and before you attempt to download it, after purchasing, you have to install the amazon software downloader. Mac users may or may not have to use it. But PC users do. It is easy to install and you do have to register it. They warn you that you have only 1 chance to register it so do not screw that up. ^^
Another feature that I found is that the main outline format can be exported into Scrivener for those that use that software too, as OYNW is a more detailed and thorough outliner to use with Scrivener in organizing your work.
This software is pretty huge and expansive and will ask almost everything you need to know about your story and get it in outline form along with complete characterization. It is selling for $40 on Amazon.com
Give it a look-see and see if it is for you.
