If you would like to see the train ride (Zug) that Maddy Bells Gaby, Connie and the gang use to go to school when it is too cold to cycle (& see the cycle track they use as well!). Or the ride on to Remagen where they go swimming or Bonn where they shop. Then these three YouTube videos are for you.

The first video one starts at Ahrbruck (end of the line) to Ahrweiler. Stopping at Altenahr, Mayschob, Rech, Dernau. (20mins 37sec)

The second video is Ahrweiler to Remagen. (13mins 48secs)

The final video covers, Remagen to Bonn. (17mins 58secs)

The weather dull, but you get to see where (or part of where) the stories take place,

Fantastic!

I pulled the video up in a half screen then pulled Google Maps in another half screen so they were side by side. I set maps to satellite and the distance to 100 feet just before it dropped to 50 feet. I followed the video as it traveled. It took a bit of coordination but I was able to follow along. The tunnels were a bit hairy but I paused the video until I found the exit. I'll admit to pausing at a few other spots where the shadows masked the tracks. It really enhanced the video!

Boys will be girls... if they're lucky!

Looks like an amazing thing - i'll check it out when I get back from Austria where i'm waiting for the cows!

Of course now you've started something - how about the ride down to Koblenz?

Sorry Maddy

But the only one I could find that covers the train from Bonn to Koblenz was taken just as the light turned and so you see nothing!
So not worth posting the link.
