Blog About:

The last blog I wrote, I was in a pretty depressed state. I'm still not doing great but life is getting better. I'm finally out of my great aunt's house. A place of hell for me for the past five years. This last year the worst of it after her shocking passing. My older brother and I are finally 95% moved out of there. We're in a new place, its a big room, lots of natural light---3 nice windows. I have a lot of space here too. My old room was so cramped and I felt like the walls were closing in on me.

2 bad things happened LOL: I broke my big screen TV so I'm stuck with a tiny one and I left my bed frame behind because it was a twin and far too small for me. I'm currently sleeping on just a mattress on the floor like in an anime :D.

I'm hoping my life brightens enough that I can finally start to write something again.

I did that for a year myself.

I did that for a year myself. On a futon mattress till I could afford a frame and mattress. Also speaking as someone who hates change and has depression sometime a new place with a new atmosphere helps a lot with that kinda of stuff. Good luck Eof and happier days.

Re: I did that for a year myself.

Been there, done that, had a futon as my only mattress for about ten years, then a double boxspring and mattress replaced that for about two years while I lived in a bachelor apartment in the downtown core of Toronto between mid-2005 and mid-2017.

I've been in the new place in the west end for a year now, actually have my bed up on a metal frame, so it isn't on the floor! YAY ME!

Glad to hear that you seem to be doing better, Eof. A new place, especially a bright one, can make a world of difference.

3/4 mattresses fit futon frames

We used to have a futon bunk bed. It had a twin bed upper bunk and a futon below it. When the futon was slated to become a nightly bed for a young lady, I checked and found that a 3/4 bed (antique) would fit the futon frame.

So, if you are sleeping on a futon, and want to use it as bed permanently, there are several mattresses available on Amazon. You can access Amazon through BCTS and look up 3/4 mattress, convert your futon and get Big Closet a few shekels.

I have been following you for years. Happy that you are finally moving forward. Look at it this way you are indoors and not in a tent and sleeping bag in someone's back yard LOL

Glad to learn things have improved and I do hope that trend continues. It's unfortunate that you broke your TV, but at least you have something you can use in the interim. As far as no mattress frame, I know how that is, I even spent close to a year sleeping on an old air mattress.

Have delightfully devious day,
