I've been posting a lot this year and also been really busy in real life so I've decided to take a break from posting until the end of January.
I have been busy writing an entry for the january competition using the 'flash fiction' style but after 12 parts, I realised it was
1) going nowhere
2) needed an awful lot of editing to lick it into shape
and
3) not very good at all. More like dog excrement really.
I have a number of stories ready to go for next year but I'm taking a break over Christmas and the New Year and hopefully my muse will recharge itself read for Februrary.

"Flash Fiction" Style?
It sounds to me as if that's the opposite of what the January competition calls for. A single story in at least four parts, at least 1000 words per part. It might be a serial, but it has to be complete.
Edit: I hope this helps you turn it into something more to your liking.
