I just finished reading "Homesick" by Trismegistus Shandy. I'm surprised at the few reads this story attracted. While it's a bit different from other stories here, it's a well written tale in a "Twilight Zone" kind of way. I almost expected Rod Serling type epilogue.

All three parts are posted, so if you like to wait for stories to be complete, this one is. If you haven't read it, I'd highly recommend it.

My comment on the story:
As to the story itself, I'm not sure that the "Horror" tag is called for. I've never thought of "Twilight Zone," to be in the Horror genre and this story certainly fits in with "Twilight Zone." I found it very interesting and well written. It surprises me that given your stories I've read before that so few people have read it.

I have to agree with the other comment, the actual fate of the rest of the family leaves some loose ends not tied up nicely. But I don't think that little criticism detracts much from the quality of the story.

Homesick

I loved this story. I thought the neighbors, the Petrovs, should have been the Samsas, giving credit to Kafka. I very nice twist at the end. Sweet story, well told.
