You have pretty eyes

Our church sponsors a food bank twice a month. My wife and I volunteer there. There are about 30 volunteers there on any given day. One of the regulars is an older, I say older because she's older than me and I'm pretty old, older Hispanic lady who doesn't speak very much English. Because of the language barrier, I really don't know her enough to more than say hi to her. I don't even know her name.

Mind you, I've found a mascara color that looks natural on me, a true brown that simply brings out my nearly blonde lashes, rather than makes my eyes pop as they say. I've been wearing nearly everywhere. My wife is pretty particular, especially when we are around family and church members that I don't wear any make up and this mascara looks so natural she hasn't noticed it. I had it on yesterday.

After I'd helped unload the incoming freight my wife and I ware sitting at a table drinking some coffee. The Hispanic lady mentioned above was watching me as my wife and I rested and talked. She walked by us and said to me, "You have pretty eyes," and walked on. I don't think my wife heard her or perhaps didn't think she was talking to me.
