Hello out there.

My names Katherine and I'm happy to meet everyone here.

I am a transwoman myself and have gone through a lot this year. From a Breast Cancer scare, my Grandmother dying, my 14-year-old cat dying, and writing this book.

It all started Back in October of 2018 I found a lump on my right breast. It took my doctor a series of tests and 5 months to tell me that the lump was benign.

During those 5 months, I pretty much went insane and Ellen Hayes's story about Tuck was one of the only things that tethered me to this world. At the end of December I finished the story, everything came crashing down and the biggest bout of depression I've ever had hit me. To make things worse I was having problems with scheduling Therapy sessions.

I spent around a week just feeling sorry for myself and then I decided that I would channel the emotion into something.

That's where the story about Adrian came from. I decided that I was going to make my own unique story but about a transgender kid, her friends, and family.

My book is based in 2018 but in the Tuck universe. I pulled some minor background thing from Tuck like the 'Turners' shoe shop and centered a story completely around that. Unlike Tuck and Ellens other characters (Who I'm a firm believer that they live in Ohio. Mostly because I figured that when they went to the ballet something like crossing state lines would have likely been mentioned.) mine live in Los Angeles, California.

I don't have any of the Tuck Universe's characters in my book I only mention D & E once and I assumed that Debbie and Lisa made their own makeup line. It's in the mall that Adrian visits but I didn't mention it while they were there. I did this so that I can say it's still in the same universe but not infringe any character copyrights if I decide to sell it as a book.

What I posted here was my First Draft. I finished the first draft back in June and a friend went through and corrected a lot of the spelling and punctuation I messed up on. I've never gone to classes on writing or anything like that so it will probably show in the draft. In the second draft, I cut over 2k words.

It's been a long journey but I'm happy I dedicated myself to making this happen. I hope you all enjoy it.
