(Me) I thought it was about time to give you lot a progress update on the Bike episode summaries. Remember the last time I posted, I'd done episodes one to 103, plus 900 to wherever we'd got to by then. A lot can happen in a few weeks, and the number of episodes covered has grown to over 600. There's also a cast list and a title page.

However, I have a confession. I simply don't have enough time to get through 600 episodes myself. So after asking for help, a knight in shining armour arrived - from the future! Well, 11 hours in the future, relative to me, to be precise. And so far, he's summarised episodes 104 to five hundred and something; whereas I'm keeping the 900s up to date while working through the 800s. So before I bore you all to death, let me introduce the one and only PS!

(PS) Yes, we're only 11 hours in the future as we in New Zealand head towards winter, and you northern hemisphere types approach summer. But at least the planes are still flying down here! When we go back into daylight saving (October), and you are back on ordinary time, believe it or not we'll be 13 hours ahead of the UK! Aside from helping with this aide-memoire project, I'm also looking after the Bike Archive. If you haven't checked it out for a while, it's worth a brief look (about 22 seconds), as there have been a few changes. Finally, we have some other initiatives planned as part of this project, so watch this space!

(Me again) Thanks for that - just think, at the rate we're going, by the time Bike reaches 1,000 episodes, we might have caught up!

When I've finished the 800s, I'll add the link to my .sig - until then, "Watch this space" :)

I am overwhelmed by the time

I am overwhelmed by the time you two have given to this project, I really don't know what to say, as thank you both so very much, seems inadequate.

Bike seems something of an institution on this site - yeah, you do have to be mad to read it, but usually it leaves you feeling mostly happy.

Once again, thank you so much.

Hugs,

Angharad

No more than you deserve, mi duck :)

... and PS sorry you're going into Winter down there but I'm more than glad we're on our way into Summer. It's a strange place Kiwiland - the sun's in the north and travels right to left through the day. It took some getting used to when we cycled toured there in 1999 - got some great cycling tops though that celebrated 'First to the Sun' for the new millennium. Unfortunately my friend thought it was OK to cycle in black socks (shock, horror) provided they were decorated with a white fern. He even bungy jumped wearing them!

Perhaps I can sign off with ...

Perfidious Sun *chuckle*

btw we aren't all grounded here in the UK. I saw several light aircraft and I flew a few times.

All I can add...

...is that we couldn't have done it without you and your creative efforts in gifting this work to us each each and every day; and...

...we wouldn't have done it unless we thought it was worth doing.
