Ma'am, Mistress, My Queen...or at other times just Brinny, Brin or Brin-Brin. I love that I still have dreams with her in them quite often. She's my familiar. I got her via the ex-wife when she was 6, but she got inside my heart and soul and is still there. My other two are each special and unique in their own right (Linsey has her tail on my fingers as I'm typing this) :)

Lilim, is an intense story, and the people who followed my original blog link liked it :) Worst that happens it gets more readers!!! There are a number of readers here who just won't go to FM anymore..however they miss lots of great stories like Lilim.

Having attended the party and now the kidnapping of her friends our heroine is fast approaching the time limit on restoring herself back to himself. The disintegration of the deactivated Y chromosomes is hinted at in the nature of your *shinny thing* picture. Um are you part cat, the shinny thing obsession? See Red Dwarf, season one for more details. -- grin --
BIG Q is why is that woman assisting these disgusting men. Was she controlled by the super pheromone stuff too, a religious nutter, IE the end justifies the means? But does she know of the rapes and if so why would she agree to such tactics? She said others have been changed, is this turncoat woman one of them? A former man changed as a trap for the unsuspecting doctor? IE a plant with the right credentials to get the change then hang around to spy?
Plus the bit earlier about Shetland ponies having roughly the same body mass as an adult human. How many of them are former humans that tried to hurt the doctor?
And can she ever restore them? The project if correct in its premise about fertility dropping rapidly is vital but to the point of her being judge jury and executioner? But the the bad guys are no better and maybe far worse.
Survival is everything in the end.
I hope the doctor is not insane and can fix herself with her therapies. Hell she should make herself younger again.
As to the bad guys and gal...
Love to see how you resolve this/ Are the bad guys all bad, are the good guy all good? And what of our hero/heroine? He, likely now she forever deserves to be well rewarded for her efforts. He now she has gone above and beyond what was originally asked of him/her and shown great intelligence and loyalty in the process. Plus why did they NOT take DNA samples to use as a restore incase they exceeded the 88 hour limit? Why not? I still don't get the reason if there was one given. Some limit to the process due to how she was changed vs how other were changed?

And you are 100% right about the taking of the DNA sample. This was a glaring error in my first installment. I've tried to fix it in the last one, where Julia admits she didn't tell Syd that exact truth, and will explain that the failure to meet the time countdown doesn't mean she can't switch back, they can overwrite with his original DNA, once a nanite poisoning issue is resolved. Then she makes Syd a proposal...

but not himself after the 88 hour limit was violated.
They had to be telling a lie OR somehow the special process to make him his female self AND the age he was at the time of the old testing did something special to her. Maybe a autoimmune response ? Nah but who knows. So after the rescue, and maybe it;s now 100 hours and too late, they tell her the whole truth and make the offer?
Claerly they thought of this BEFORE transforming her so did Julia somehow realize over the years of their freindship he would be BOTH better off and happier with a do over as a female. Because if they could make him younger and female they could make him younger. Except for the near rape she seems very happy as a woman, not that she hated life as a male but the benefits so far outweigh the downsides, her lover is a BIG one. Can the lab make her legal and all if she stays a woman? But it must be her choice. Sydney as one of Julia and Derdre's top aids, wow, what a team!
She will have a fit when she learns what happened to opponents of the research. I can't see Sydney accepting their animal transformations except for maybe a killer. But as animal, would restoring them restore their memories and minds? Perhaps she would ask they be given a makeover, if they can't restored make them babies again and give then to loving homes.
Still wonder what the project will do to avoid the fertility problem, Make women self fertile as a alternative, IE reproduction by sex or by self fertilization like some insects? Or the ability to change sex as population mixes change like some fish? Or what, make humans BOTH sexes at the same time? Plus letting a virus loose in the wild risks it mutating and causing harm. How does she intend to avoid that? Julia doesn't hate men but has had bad experiences. Does that and her developing mental disease color her judgment? Can she be saved in time to save the world and herself?

All the images for Fragrance's chapters have been great and laden with symbolism that's progressed with the tale. I agree that you should post Lilim Tales and your other FM stories here as well. They are all excellent and deserve as big an audience as possible. Can't wait to see how things turn out for Syd and friends, as well as Cassandra!
