Some of you know I'm a pastor. I've been available to anyone who needs me. Usually I've been able to say something reassuring, helpful, etc... Now it's me, I'm feeling adrift, and unable to control the way my life is moving.

Some facts. First, I'm not taking any hormones, second, I've been actively losing weight.

My dilemna. My doctor gave me spironalactone to help control my blood pressure. Yes I knew gynecomastia was a possiblity. It was something I'd watched for, asking my wife, especially after things got really sensitive in my breasts. Constantly my wife has said nothing's happening. Then last night she saw my naked chest and exclaimed, "Your boobs are bigger than mine!" doh.

Not only are they approaching the size of hers (though I'm already a bigger cup size), they are getting VERY sensitive. A bra will soon be a requirement, not just a fashion choice.

She has been more supportive than I have any right to expect. She suggested living for a year as a woman; which is exactly what my next step in transition. We have been planning (more or less) a cruise in 2014 with our best friend.

She is now (post boob talk) asking me how I'm going to tell her mom and family. Things are getting scary, and she has been talking with her friend. The question now is will I be included in the cruise.

I am looking to have my right ankle operated on later this month. That means the earliest I can actually begin RLT is Feb/Mar. That is what I've been planning.

Nevertheless, things are happening faster than I can understand.

Any prayers, or good thoughts are really appreciated.

With Love, Hugs, and Blessings,

Beth

Hey Beth

Good luck. And good thoughts.

Operation

By later this month does this mean before the 15th? Are we still on for then? It is about the only time I have available until January.

If you could get your damn kids to leave, maybe you and your wife could deal with shit better? Well, you know that my family threw me out and I let them because I was so over dosed. Maybe you could just call the police and have them make some housing adjustments? It is your name on the mortgage, right?

I can't help it, after what happened to me, it is just damned tough to watch it happen to someone else. It is like PTSD all over again.

A suggestion

If you are actually loosing weight fast I would suggest you have your thyroid checked. I had the same problem as I had (no longer there now) hyperthyroidism. I lost over 30 pounds in under 2 months. It went undetected for over a year an a half.

That may be a problem.

Sending Prayers Your Way

and hoping everything goes okay with your ankle surgery and the beginning of RLT. You are going to be in my thoughts as you embark on this journey. I know it's really hard to tell your family about what you are going through. You have supported so many of us here at BCTS and I want to let you know, that you have a friend in me if you need to talk about anything.

Hugs,

Jen

Lots of good thoughts coming your way.

Can't you just say God moves in mysterious ways, and this one of them?

Beth, take care! And

listen to the doctors and look forward to being healed. You are in my prayers.
