Not many entries to the Valentines Day competition so seemingly not much romance about. Why not watch this film 'The Artist' and see if it inspires you to write like it did for me? Doesn't Sephrena deserve to see her efforts rewarded?

In case you didn't see the film this is what 'The Guardian' newspaper said. 'What a wonderful picture this is: one of those films you yearn to watch again and again, while yet being fearful of spoiling the experience. It is one of the most eloquent movies imaginable.'

I read that after I watched the film and it summed up my feelings.

So where is the challenge going to come from? Where are the romantic writers? Who will console Sephrena?

I'm going to have to drop either The Artist or The Kiss.

Has everybody hibernated for winter?

You can have as many entries as you like

for the contest, Just only 1 of an author's submissions can be in the top winners to win a monetary prize award.

There are 18 days left for your entries. This will be the last contest I host until October. I will be attending the Anime Expo-2013, At the Los Angeles Convention Center July 4 - 7, 2013 with Erin to have a heyday at manga and anime blue rays and dvd's! ^^

Thanks for the clarification

It's good news about your trip to California. Sad that no more contests though.I always preferred San Francisco myself that is my favorite City in USA. But LA is pretty OK for us Brits. better than Grimethorpe and Hebden Bridge.I used to visit Palo Alto on business so it was a great excuse to look around.I've visited Grimethorpe too with my colleagues from PA but we didn't bother with the sightseeing. Was this an invite to join you? How many will your room take?

It's good news then

I thought you did a fantastic job with the Christmas Eve story competition and the way you announced the results was fun.
It's so hard to be an organiser but then again it can give a great deal of pleasure.I thought I might try and encourage a bit of competition to give you chance to amuse us all again.

Elsbeth's picture

Oh, I'm so jealous. Should be a lot of fun. I have been to some of the larger ones on the east coast but still :-)

Is fearr Gaeilge briste, ná Béarla clíste.

Broken Irish is better than clever English.

Well come on down!

and attend! It'd be great to get together there and meet for lunch and dinner and maybe do some spontaneous window shopping :)

It would be wonderful

It's a long way for me but my heart will be there with you.I hope others closer to hand can join you. Once they get out of the snow of course.
I'm glad more stories have been posted. Forgive me for posting 3 but I'm a romantic. I just like happy endings and tears in my eyes.

I'm still working on a story

I'm still working on a story kinda, though it is a little different for me. Hopefully I can get it done and submitted in time.

Poor form

I thought it would be poor form to throw Wrestling Against Myself into the competition. It is a romance, but I worked on it for months and it is such a long novel that I figured people would lose interest in it before getting to the romantic parts.
