reading it for content and flow/edit/proofread or collaborate if you find the premise interesting.I don't mean to indicate I need someone to do all those things or maybe an editor does that anyway. I don't know this is my first attempt at writing for consumption though I have written about 100,000 words in three stories that are gathering dust in my hard drive that I'd like to post.

This story I'm writing is a little different from most I've read or at least I think it is and it is now about 6,000 words. Without giving too much away it involves walk-ins,hopefully some eastern Cherokee and mountain lore, an old man, a teen and their chance meeting in a nameless town in the southern Appalachians that changes both their lives and their families. Of course it involves a magical transformation too.

If anyone is willing to read what I've written offer me suggestions and whatever else I will appreciate it. I grew up and live in the Appalachians but will appreciate any help with the lore and Cherokee legends. Sometimes when you are in the middle you can't see the forest for the trees. I am also open to a co-author/collaborator if anyone is interested because this story needs to be written.

I hope someone here can help.

Thanks

Katelyn

re: reply

I sent you an email. I'll look and see if I have not turned something on or maybe off.

Thanks for your offer

I never thought to look in my account. LOL

In other forums I see when I get a message without opening my account. And I usually get an email notification with a message. Now I need to see if that is a feature I didn't check.

Live and learn I suppose.

Thanks
