You know, since I began here at BCTS, I have seen a gradual changeover of the readership. It's in the tastes of the types of fiction that they like. We went from one day being a site that had readers starved for fiction, to one where now something barely even gets read much less commented on.
As Promised, once a month, except for October which will be twice, I will list all of the current participants in our contests, Here are the totals so far:
I have to say, the lack of entries so far has broken my heart. :( I cannot try any harder to get any entries. For my December contest, I only have 1 entry. If it stays like that, might have it clear all $2100 of the prize money :/
Google is now phasing out Manifest V2 support from Chrome and V3Manifest support will be even less. I am for abandoning Chrome before then forever since it seems to be focused to force ads onto your pc.
All script and ad blockers will cease working before November.
I cleaned up Tiffany Shar's Bear's Know Best story from all of those little OSC squares from 2010-2012 when BCTS was NOT as stable as it is now. Also, I removed the lulu.com links and placed the amazon store page address there for you to purchase from as well. The author will have to change the included text for ea chapter to reflect this as well.
...or leave a story of your own!

Okay, Okay. I finally broke out and did a bad thing. I made a Patreon account so I could post voting over there with a simple and secure system. Beats having to tally stuff by hand so hey! :) So both the October and December Contests will be using them for voting. I hope this satisfies most of my critics and makes things easier!
We have a relative staying over for 2 days and its way too hectic for me here to be able to finish grading the last 40% of the works until they leave Thursday morning. I need peace and quiet to analyze while reading. So please allow me until Saturday the 5th to post and pay out morning Eastern time.
Thank you. And I do apologize for the inconvenience. I certainly wasn't expecting this.
There are a total of 7 prizes: 1 x 1st Place, 2x 2nd Place, and 4 x 3rd Place. The current cash prizes are 1 x $150, 2 x $75, 4 x $25.
The Winner's Announcement is March 3, 2022 along with payouts. I will be issuing the payouts in a timely fashion same day.
This is an unofficial blog announcing the contest. I'm throwing this up tonight so everyone has a chance to think about it. The basic requirements are that it is a story of Love or Loss for Valentine's Day. I'm giving the option as I'm open to both types. The cash prizes will total between $400- $500. The payout will be on March 3.
Okay, to make a long story short, my pc was taken out by a worm that f'ed up the bios controls that then fried my processor and motherboard and took out the hard drive too that had all my contest stuff on it. It was a Russian worm that they dont have a commercial means of removing yet. And it came from an anime site and I had used the vivaldi browser. Because of the way vivaldi worked, the browser let stuff load before it blocked it. Well, live and learn. Im using Firefox plain and simple. No more Chrome.
Sephrena's computer exploded last week, just as the holiday weekend was starting. Then she got snowed out today when she went to pick it up. So? Tomorrow? We can hope...

Okay. Here we finally are. At the winner's announcements. First of all, I would like to thank all of our authors whom took the time to actually enter this: that was an act of courage. Secondly, I have had a very hard time judging the entries. I could not use my original setup to grade the entries with and I actually had to enlist help from two friends, one of whom kept laughing at me as I was squirming to decide. It was all in good fun.
One of my favorite anime songs, sung and instrumental-wise, is the second ending to the anime series "Accel World." I sourced the pieces of this blog from a variety of places to bring it all together onto one page to view it as a whole - "Unite." ~Sephrena
