I’m sure this is a BC story and read it when I first came to BC, and it was a complete story then. So it was probably recommended when someone asked for story titles to read.
To be honest, I can't say I wasn't half expecting it. He did look extremely frail and I think confused at suddenly receiving kindness from humans. But at least his last days were in the warm with a soft bed to rest on with as much nice food as he wanted to eat.
Just watched Joss Whedon's film SERENITY again, his follow on from his tv series 'Firefly'.

Twenty years ago (I had to check, it's that long), I got the DVD Silverado, A film I've always wanted to watch. But every time I've put it by the player to watch. Something has happened and I've never got to watch it.
This Christmas it was on the tv, so I decided I'll watch on broadcast. What happened, three phone calls and a neighbour knocking on the door with a problem and could I help. I did get to see about tens minutes worth spread about over the film so to be pointless.

Well for me it would be the late Sir Terry Pratchett. Author of my favourite book, ‘Night Watch’. I will regret all my life I never had the chance to meet him.

A Love So Bold by Anon Allsop is one of my favourite stories here on BC. But being English and in England and although having lived in Australia when young, you do not really appreciate the distance that waggon train that Hannah and Gideon travelled with covered to reach the Willamette Valley at the end of the story.
You think you do, but in modern times with air travel and maybe an hour long television documentary cannot really give the feel of the time or distance it took Hannah and Gideon’s little family to make the journey across America.
If you would like to see the train ride (Zug) that Maddy Bells Gaby, Connie and the gang use to go to school when it is too cold to cycle (& see the cycle track they use as well!). Or the ride on to Remagen where they go swimming or Bonn where they shop. Then these three YouTube videos are for you.

I had to roll back to the previous version of windows 10 after the last update added cortina.
The result was my laptop slowed down so much that at times what should have taken brief seconds froze the screen for minutes and looking at the task manager (again minutes to load) showed the cpu was working at 100 percent.

Real life got in the way as well, but it is mainly Karin Bishop's fault.

Have just read Melanie Brown's 19 part story 'I'm With the Band'. It is a good story and if like me you only joined BC in the last couple of years you may have missed it.
It is well worth reading and she has plenty more stories to read in her story listings. Thank-you Melanie for the good reading.
