Rob Wescott was unlucky when it came to love. That harmless statue that his ex sent him and he left by his bed turned out to be not so harmless when he woke the next day.

Rob, now Bobbi had to make a new life for herself. But would she continue to be unlucky in love?

Bad title for commerce

or in other words: Amazon sucks elephants through straws. :-(
Your link directs one to the US site, there I get "Kindle titles are available for DE customers on Amazon.de. Continue shopping on the Kindle Store at Amazon.de." and the link goes to a search (WTF? They have a unique ID for this book that is valid on every national site - just changing the site part manually gets me directly to tha book) where you get a lot of different titles, just not the one that I want. Argh. Thank you Amazon. Not. :-(
So, in case anybody wants to get it through amazon.de, this is the URL for Germany: https://www.amazon.de/dp/B08CQ29Q6D

Gizmo

We have a gizmo that changes links on the fly for people who link in from other sites. It works better than 90% of the time, but it doesn't work 100%. Not that we can figure out why, something to do with Man in the Moon Marigolds or some such. :) Next time you try it, it may work.

We'll do some testing, but it depends on another website, not ours, and if the connection is less than snappy, our software just gives up. Sorry about that. With 13 different Amazons, it's hard to provide a link for everyone individually.

Erin

Has this book post been reposted as new post day after day?

Erin, Is it normal for a book advertisement to be allowed to be deleted and reposted as a new post so it shows at top of the 'quick cuts' day after day after day? Unless I am mistaken, this book has been reposted as a new post at least 3 or 4 days in a row now.

If this is being allowed because it is a DopplerPress book, would it be possible to clearly label it as an advertisement? I'm all for authors promoting their published books, but most do it no more than maybe once or twice per month per book. A book being promoted every single day for many days in a row (so far) is a bit much. Spamming even.

Thanks, Joelle.

It's me

I'm the one doing the reposting of DopplerPress books.

If you notice, the title includes information that this is an advertisement. This is part of how we pay the bills here. The book came out Friday and has been reposted twice. I've been alternating reposting this newest book with other older DP books, letting at least five new stories go up then waiting at least an hour to do a repost of a DopplerPress book.

I've been doing this with DopplerPress books for months, and guess what, sales of DP books are twice what they were in the prior months.

Take a look at some of your favorite webcomics. Lots of them have outside advertisements that have nothing to do with the purpose of the site, and some of those are pop-up ads that actually obscure the reading of the webcomic. We're not doing that.

Is this a problem for anyone else?

Thank you for clarifying

Thank you so much for clarifying. As I mentioned, I have zero problem with book links (new or old) being posted (anything that moves the site towards self sufficiency Is a-ok) . It was just the fact that it the same exact post was 3 days in a row me threw me since I had never seen it done before. And now that I know that it was just because it is a push a new book and you and not the author doing the pushing, I will back off. With the site itself doing the posting, and not authors themselves, I know that it will not be abused.

Thank you for the quick reply and clarification.

Joelle.

p.s. I dont say this nearly enough, but from the bottom of my heart thank you to you and the other admins/coders for the thankless job of running this site.
