A Story Review For A Life Ever Changing

A Life Ever Changing – Review

This is a wonderfully written story, which I have been allowed to read and am making my review of. A young lad, just 16 trying hard to help his family, by earning extra money mowing lawns, and cleaning up work. This lad has a definite desire to help others whom are weaker, or different from the popular people. Who because he himself is a bit different, gets trapped or tricked into doing things he doesn’t want to do, because it is helpful to others, by dressing in clothing that is not made for him, but made for a girl. Although he tries very hard to present himself as male, his body does not work with him. He is androgynous in appearance, heading more toward being female than male, trying to get employed full time in a nursing home. This lad is indeed a special person, he has two rare gifts, one of compassion and empathy, and the other a voice. The voice only a true Angel can use to its full effect. How others have come to see that this boy, who would be better off as a girl, have manipulated and guided him, to be what she is today. A wonderful caring person in the medical field.

This story is partially based in truth, with some flair and embellishment for the entertainment of the reader. The transition from being unwanted by others, to being someone needed is carefully described in full detail, along with the changes that have occurred along the way, and what happened to this person as a result of being good at doing for others before his/herself.

The mother and aunt that have brought Rich up were kind loving and very supportive of his gift, and encouraged his doing well in the community. Through some manipulation of a person he was working for discovered a very well kept secret of Rich’s, his voice when singing. That led to a journey of discovery and the meeting of his, shall I say, God Mother and Aunt Helen, and his new boss Grace, who assisted in the transforming of the young 10 boy to a Gorgeous Young Angel. Going from a yard cleaning, lawn mowing, chore doing young lad, to a Choir Soloist Fashion Model Princess. Only to have that wonderful few weeks, come crashing in around Angel, by a mean, vicious, evil spirited reporter with and extremely narrow mind writing about Angel’s birth gender and causing almost irreparable mental anguish and trauma, that made the child withdraw from all human contact for a period no less than six months in a psych ward. And after some lengthy recovery to hide again as the simple boy he started as.

Then to discover, that when applying for his first job, at a nursing home, to be something more than just a lad, and have his new boss Mrs. Brown, conspiring with his mother and aunt to help him again find his true self, and duty. His girlfriend, who had always wanted to get him into a dress and makeup, form the first time she saw him in a Halloween costume with his little sister at her party, who loves both sides of the person who is Richard/Rachel. ( I would love to find out what happened to them as a couple?)

This story is very emotionally charged and full of hope for the youth, and heartache at the disastrous news of the reporter. My feelings go to this youth, to find out which she truly is, and to find the love of her friend and neighbor, her mother, aunts, and new friends as well. Given the encouragement to deal with long repressed emotions and hurts from her younger years, with the realization that she is both Rich and Rachel together as she starts her new job caring for others.

My prayer, goes out to you Ms. Angel, God Grant you Peace in your heart, mind, and life, as you help those whom you are able to with your kindness, compassion, and empathy for their conditions.

And Thank you for this Devine Story of your early life.

Impressive Tale

Teek's picture

This was one very impressive tale. I usually do not like stories that jump around in time, but you did a good job of keeping it grounded. There are a lot of elements of this story which cause me to relect on my own life. Thank you for this journey. I was disappointed to see where it ended, but I guess that makes sense. Rachel still has a LONG ways to go, but this story of becoming Rachel is told. Thank You.

I have always loved your stories, and it has broken my heart to learn of your passing on. I truly hope that you are now a true Angel in heaven and have earned your wings for helping so many of us to heal, and to be happy with whom we are.

Editing and proofing as I re-read my very first offering...

to the Big Closet has brought back many found memories. Making my first real friend Erin in the world of writing TG Fiction. I asked her if she would mind reading a story I was writing. I had completed, I think thirty-two chapters before we met.

I was surprised she liked it so much and offered to help me with the MUCH NEEDED editing! Giggle, giggle. Oh, if you had seen the original! Thank you for all the hard work you diod for me Erin and the encouragement you gave me.

Now, a few years later, I have met and made many more friends and have a fan base of my own. All thanks to the Big Closet and Erin.

I posted to fictionmania at Erin's urging and was raked over the coals and even blasted to bits in the old message board called "the Mosh Pit" Giggle, giggle.

Then posting to Sapphires Place at her request, and on to Crystal's Story Site. There are others, Maddy Bell's Site, TG Fiction, Little Brats. Wow, how far I've come thanks to so many of you.

The best thing about writing in this genre, is the people you meet, the relationships that develope and the bonding of true friendship over this World, Wide, Web!

Enough of this though, you want to read more of my story. The revised edition. Giggle, giggle.

This is my new plan, to complete my already wrtten series before I post anything else new. And, I do have a ton of new stuff! Giggle, giggle.

Huggles to you all and a very heartfelt thank you for welcoming me into your world.

I'll never get anything done

Dear Angel,

I just haven't read it before. Let alone rewritten, revised and reformated versions.

Now I have but only the first chapter.

I regret it. All of it.

Firstly because I have obviously missed out in not reading it before. Secondly that if I had already read it, I would by now hopefully have got it out of my system and could concentrate on other things. Thirdly that now having read the first chapter, I fear I may have become hooked and I just haven't the time!

I have things to do. Commitments to fulfil

On the other hand self-indulgence is such a disamingly charming vice, so I suppose it would be folly to resist. Anyway I am probably lost already.

Damn!

Yours Fleurie

Since Angel is Reposting ALEC...

I'm going to keep this Title Page near the top, so people following the repost and re-edit can easily find the newest postings. And also because I discovered that chapters 3 and 7 were missing but have now been added back in. :)

And yes, there are two copies of chapter 2.
