Who the hell am I? Book 2 Chapter 17

Chapter 17

Rose sighed. “I've got some good news and some bad news. The bad news none of us really understand.” She breathed out heavily. “When we spoke to child protection here, they spoke about obvious child abuse, now the person who has taken over your case calls it mildly excessive force for a discipline technique.” She moved to hold my hand. “Don't panic, we are not going to allow that man to touch you again.”

Who the hell am I? Book 2 Chapter 16

Chapter 16 Jesse's POV

I was sore, embarrassed, angry and sad all at the same time. When I arrived at the hospital they gave me some medication for pain relief. I'm not sure whether I reacted to it funny or it was meant to make me feel stoned, but the next couple of hours were a real trip. My memory of the time is very foggy and I have no idea what I said.

Who the hell am I? Book 2 Chapter 15

Chapter 15 Jenny's POV

I stared at the phone as if it could give me all the answers in the world and I really needed them right then. What was the right thing to do? Do I tell the adults? Do I ring child services? Maybe the lawyer that was representing Jesse. If I did any of that what were the chances of worse happening to Jesse before anything could be done. At least Lilith had promised to phone again tomorrow night.

Who the hell am I? Book 2 Chapter 14

Chapter 14 Jesse's POV

I had no clothes except what I was wearing so it didn't surprise me when I was immediately sent off with Nona to get some more. With Papa already calling me Bob, I wasn't expecting any more dresses. I think I was supposed to be embarrassed about going into the men's department dressed as a girl, but I had fully accepted my truth, so I just thought they were being ridiculous.

Who the hell am I? Book 2 Chapter 13

Chapter 13 Jesse's POV

I sat outside the courtroom while my fate was decided. This wasn't even for the full hearing or whatever they called it, just for temporary custody. The decision today was going to have a big impact on my life for the next four weeks. Intellectually I knew that this was really important, but emotionally, I felt numb. I was depressed and only when my friends managed to distract me or I was running was I able to pull myself out of my deep funk.

Are You Happy Chapter 6 "Chain Reaction"

Are you Happy combo.jpgChain Reaction

When I was seventeen I fell in love with a girl named Amber. She was in two of my classes, English and French and she was at the top of the class in both languages and could flawlessly move between each language while I had issues with everything except sarcasm and dry humor. My French was limited to curse words and a few idioms.

The Best Damn Thing Section 6 “When You’re Gone”

When You’re Gone

The fight started in the summer before my freshman year.
It was verbally bloody and nothing was off-limits; no words were barred.

In the blue corner, my sister, who was five months pregnant
In the red corner, my parents; who were not pissed about the pregnancy but more over the fact she had left home for a week and never said where she went.

She told them and they were still angry because she living with a new boyfriend who lived across town; this was not the father of the baby; at least that’s what she told them.

Star Chapter 2

Chapter 2 Star's POV

I could hear a clutter of feet going down the stairs and then shortly afterwards Janice was coming towards me, smiling after she recognised me through the window in the door. Kayla was standing behind me. I didn't place her there, she was just a bit nervous, so she stayed behind me and then popped her head around me occasionally to see what was going on. It was so cute.

She opened the door. “Star, what happened, I was getting worried.” Then she noticed Kayla. “Oh, hello sweetie.”

The Best Damn Thing Section 5 “Push”

Push

I spent Sunday morning in my bed.

I removed my storm window to break into my room and I then slammed my small dresser against the frame. It did squat to prevent anyone, like, say, John, from actually getting in but it made me feel a little better. However the good vibes vanished in seconds as what happened replayed in my head like a bad cut scene.

"Was it GLOOD For You?"

"Was it GLOOD for YOU?"

She looked down at his terror-stricken face with a smile as she replied to her own question. "It certainly was GLOOD for me." Her latest victim could only stare until the paralyzing agent wore off.

Something Strange is Going On

“How are our patients doing today?” Dr. Victor Evans walks into the lab he had been given by the government to conduct his research.

“They are doing fine, sir. The serum you give them yesterday is already starting to rewrite their DNA.” Dorothy Crowfoot had been hired to be Dr. Victor’s assistant on project rebirth.

That feeling...

I had that feeling again today.

It’s one I’ve had since fourth grade...or maybe even before that-the one of finding a high point, anywhere and just jump off it.
There are days that I stay indoors and do nothing to just let the voices pass by...they have really good ideas sometimes.

Well, good is relative to the time that the rest of the world seems to be going to Hell.
And I know it’s not...it never “really” is (if you ask people around me)
But I feel it.
And, yes, I hate it.

For The Greater Good

For The Greater Good

By Jamie Lee

My name is Michael Briden, an eighteen-year-old senior at Walter Ridge high school. Today is Friday, the last day of my incarceration, the last day I'll ever have to attend this sad excuse for a high school because tomorrow afternoon my class will walk across the stage and receive our high school diplomas. And Sunday will begin a new life for me and my two siblings. It will be the day Mark and I, die.

Two Pack Tulsa Time: Chapter 1

This story is set in the same "world" as LadyDragon623's stories about werefolk, vampires, fae and other supernatural creatures.

I have her express permission to use the "world" and characters she has mentioned in her stories if I feel they would fit into this story.

**********

Living on the streets is definitely no fun. I've only been doing it for a few days, but after what my sperm donor said the last time we spoke, I knew there was no way that I could live under his roof any more, especially not with him using me as a living punching bag.

The Best Damn Thing Section 3 “Girlfriend”

Girlfriend

By the time I was in fifth grade home life was the equivalency of going to a liquor store: go in and get what you need, loiter for as long as the clerk can tolerate you before he shouts in a foreign language and get out.

Stealing a Twinkie or a Pepsi was optional.

The Mechanic

“Hey Josie, are you done with the repairs to patrol car 340 yet?” Earl walks over to where Josie was working.

Josie comes sliding out from under the patrol car she was working on. She was in the process of draining the oil. She looks up at Earl as he stood in front of her.

“Yes, so is patrol car 451 and 254 as well. All three are ready to go back out on the road.”

“It’s about time.”

“If you would recruit people who know something about cars. I wouldn’t have to go back and fixed their screw-up.” Josie hated going back and fixing other mechanics messes.

Family Found Part 1

This is the first "Next Generation" story. It is roughly October of 2038, 16 years after the last story ended. There will be some references to the past but much of this will be entirely new ground even if the storyline is a run of the mill Winnisimmet Tales story. Some are new characters created just for this story, while others are returning characters who did't get much time before.

A big special thank you must go out to my co-plotter, muse wrangler, and all around sounding board, Sammi.
