Virginia in Bloom, Chapter 3

Chapter 3

"How much longer do I have to walk with these silly books on my head?" Emma protested.

"Until you learn to walk gracefully like a young lady should," the stern looking woman sitting in the corner with a stick replied.

The other girls in the room tried not to snicker. And Emma wasn't the only pupil being drilled on walking gracefully.

She found a kindred spirit in a spunky girl by the name of Maggie Madison, or Margaret Anne Madison as their teacher, Mrs. Balew preferred her she be called.

Final Fantasy - New Moon Part 1

Nathen Micheals was an avid video game player who loved the Final Fantasy game series big time to say the least. When Final Fantasy XIII-2 was released he had already put in a pre-order a month in advance, and on release day, raced home from school as fast as he could.

“Hey mom did my package from Amazon come in yet?” Nat yelled at his mom as he came through the door.

Virginia in Bloom, Chapter 2

Chapter 2

"Andy, Andy, wake up, you're having a bad dream," the young soldier said to his bunk mate.

"Lucian, I'm OK," his bunk mate said.

She couldn't possibly tell him the contents of the dream. She was surrounded by Confederate soldiers who had discovered her true identity. They were about to assault her when her bunk mate woke her up.

For My Princess: Part 10

FMP-Cover-s.png

While out for a ride Arabella gets a chance to test her skills but someone in their party seems to have a problem with her.

In the few steps back to Helene's side she heard, "It is just as I thought." Something in the back of her mind knew that it was aimed at her.

"Someone needs to learn some respect," Helene said in a voice only Arabella could hear. "That man has been making disparaging remarks the whole time."

"Well it is not like I gave a good display."

"Trust me there was more to it than that."

Virginia in Bloom

Author's note: This story takes place during the last half of the American Civil War. The war has already turned against the South. The casualty rates have devestated families in many Southern communities. A draft has been instituted. Unless a family held a large number of slaves, every male able to hold a rifle was suddenly called to fight for the Southern cause. As the war drug on, boys as young as 13 and men as old as 65 were expected to fill the already depleted ranks of the Army of Northern Virginia.

Kiss Your Elbow and Become a Girl

Kiss Your Elbow and Become a Girl

by Jennifer Sue

There is an old saying that periodically makes the rounds of schools. It’s really silly and quite impossible but at the same time holds a strange fascination for those who hear it. It’s mostly used by girls to tease boys. “If you kiss your elbow you change into a girl”. The near physical impossibility of kissing your own elbow is one of the more unusual parts of this childhood mythology. According to the legends, a peck to the elbow would bring about an instantaneous sex change. For most boys, it was a threat of a terrible fate, something never to do. After all, most kids would never want to be a member of the opposite sex; they're icky, and may even have cooties! The most common version of the myth was that kissing your elbow at any time would cause a sex change. It doesn't matter if it's by accident or intent, if your lips touch your elbow, you're going to have to start using the other restroom. Some variations of the myth had a certain ritual you had to perform to become the other sex, such as spinning around in a circle ten times under a full moon before giving the kiss that will turn a boy into a girl. Obviously, no matter how much ritual is involved, it doesn't work... or does it?

Pass It On Chapter 4

Pass It On
Chapter Four

When they broke the embrace, they wiped the tears from their eyes and Destiny reached into her pocket and pulled out the coin. It had changed since the last time they’d looked at. Only the words “Pass It On” remained, everything else was blank now.

Destiny nodded as she rubbed the coin between her fingers. “I understand now.”

Katie shrugged her shoulders. “So tell me because I don’t.”

“I think I’m a girl.”

Beth debated how to respond to that. Should she act surprised? But that felt wrong, so she said, “I’ve... seen her in you.”

“You mean .... I’m not crazy?”

“I wouldnt say that....” Beth then looked at the expression on the new kid’s face. “I’m joking. You’re not crazy. I’ve seen her.”

“Really? But .... what do I do?”

“I .... I dont know. But I want to be your friend, regardless.”

“Thanks.” the new kid said, and then they both became silent.

Conner nodded, then he pulled Tracy into a hug. “Sorry about the wrong name.”

“It's okay.” Tracy answered as she hugged him back.

“Is this permanent?” Conner asked. “The boy’s clothes, I mean.”

“I don't know. I'm just so afraid.” Tracy replied. “I don't want it to be.”

“Well, hopefully you'll get over that fear. I want to see my pretty granddaughter smile again.”

The photoshoot went fine since my uniform was tailored to me to hide any flaws and with the help of a pushup bra I made it look really good. I did the whole shoot with those ladies standing their so I had to keep up the lily act the whole time.

The beginning to an alternate Through the years

Like I put in the blog, this is how Through the years began in my head, but then I went back and started on Troy's life as a kid and it moved away from ever reaching this point. So this is in no way a part of Through the years, but all the characters names haven't been changed.

Emily May looked to Mary Beth and shrugged. Both girl pulled their blankets up to cover themselves and Mary Beth called out. “Come on in, Wally.”

The boy walked in. He was Emily's twin, but looked nothing like her. His hair was a light blonde and he stood half a foot taller then she did. He was also their father's favorite, but that was because he was the only boy. He stopped just inside the door and let it shut lightly. “I was, um...I was wondering, is it true?” He asked.

“Is what true?” Emily May asked.

“There were some pictures around the school and some kids were talking, plus I heard Dad telling mom that a picture was sent here.” Wally leaned against the door. “They said they were of Vance Patterson's brother, right? Wearing a dress?”

The Dead Kid Returns; Chapter 6: Talking in your sleep

For the next week, things slipped back into their former routine. Every day, they would find a quiet spot, and read beside each other. The new kid never mentioned the kiss, and Beth was too happy to have her friend back to push the issue.

Chapter 1 of Hikari and June

When Hikari came home from her dads she told her aunt “I need to go out, so I can find “good friends.” so she went to the mall to hopefully find a new friend, ‘I blame Audrey, she told herself, “she told me that, "you know, if you want to meet new faces you should go to the mall.’” Audrey is one of Danielle’s friends Hikari met when she was at her dads.

The Dead Kid Returns - Chapter 5: Breaking Hearts

The Dead Kid Returns; Chapter 5: Breaking Hearts

Sorry this chapter is kinda short. It was just too good a spot to make a break to pass up.

Beth was absolutely devastated. Her attempt to help the girl inside the new kid had gone horribly wrong, and now the new kid hated her. She dragged her broken heart to school the day after it happened, and the new kid wouldn’t even look at her, much less talk to her. Beth even tried waiting at their favorite reading spot, but the new kid didn’t show up.

Pass It On -2-

Pass It On
Chapter Two

Destiny’s eyes and her thoughts were on the coin in her hand. She didn’t really believe it could be a true magic coin ... but ... what would it hurt to wish? Closing her eyes she wished for something simple ... something obvious ... something that was ruining her day.
“I wish the rain would stop.”

Thinking that saying it twice might help the wish along. She said it again.
“I wish the rain would stop.”

Destiny opened her eyes slowly to see Katie staring at her.

“What’s wrong Destiny?” Katie said with concern.

I carefully snap the gold ribbon and take off the red paper. I’m unwrapping a Christmas gift from my grandmother.

“What’s she got you this year, Nathan?” my father asks as I stare dumbfounded into the box, frozen on the spot.

My mother comes up and looks over my shoulder, “Oh dear, it looks like she’s muddled the labels up. I guess that must have been meant for Sally.”

For My Princess: Part 9

FMP-Cover-s.png Life at the castle fell into its normal spring routine. Apart for a couple of overnight thunderstorms nothing out of the ordinary happened. One night changed all that.

"Wake up sweetheart," Ysabel called as she gently shook her child awake.

"Is it morning already?"

"No child, it is still the middle of the night."

It took several moments for the words to sink in. Arabella forced herself to open her eyes.

"Lady Catherine has started to have her baby but something is not right. I need to go to her and I need you to accompany me."

Charli and the Girl Cave, Part 7

By Portia Bennett

Introduction: Once again Charli wakes up to a world she is not familiar with. Rather quickly, she remembers that she had been adopted the previous day by some very nice people. She had been banged up a bit in an auto accident, but she was okay. She arrives at her new home, and meets her new sister. She also meets the younger sister of Cindy whom she had met the day before. She walks out of a previously empty closet, as does her talking cat. That's when she realizes that some of her memories aren't right, and that she has left her two best friends in Boston to fend for themselves.

This is another story in the Cynthia Chronicles series. Other stories in the series are An Incremental Journey, Cynthia and the Reluctant Girlfriend, Cynthia and the Dumpster Diver, Cynthia and the Moment of Truth, Cynthia and the High School Years - Part I, Cynthia and the High School Years - Part II, Bobbie and the Glass Ceiling; and Randi and the College Professor,. Troy leaned back and watched the scenery pass by. After a couple of miles, he spoke up without looking at his mother. “Mom, is it wrong?” He asked, then he slowly turned his head to face her.

“Is what wrong?” Maggie asked as she drove.

“Being Tracy, I mean. All of this, these pictures, the phone calls....should I just stop?”

“Baby, like your grandmother said, you should never let anyone make your choices for you.” Maggie patted her child’s knee. “And if you stop being yourself because of some asshole and his pictures, then you're letting him make a choice for you.” She turned onto their road and kept driving.

I don`t know what happened, one minute I was lying in a stinking cellar with a couple of broken ribs, arm and leg and several stitches in my head thanks to my ever loving parents and the next I`m living a totally different life.

I might be better if I explained what happened over the last couple of days.
