After watching the video for the song "Titanium", I keep thinking of the Whately Academy universe here. I picture that video being a clip that could have come from there, the fear, the supernatural, and the MCO. I know, right? The beat is amazing, the vocals are pretty good by just about any standard and the words convey a message that one can take encouragement from... What's not to like! :3
And yes, it fits with that general kind of story quite well. Good call on that, Anansi. :)

Yeah, I can see a possibly Whateley connection, but more likely a "Center" story with the two separate "emergences", as pointed out above. As for the music, it was shrill (painfully so for those of us that still have our high frequency hearing intact) and I couldn't understand most of the words. I could dance to the rhythm, as long as I had a good set of earplugs. What was that old American Bandstand song rating chart used back in the early days? ;-)
