Hey everyone. I know it's been a while. Health problems, which are getting better, then they dead computer, and house hunting has taken a bunch of time. First off, thank you all who offered me a yell on the computer situation. Anyone who knows me will tell you that I am stubborn about that kind of thing but I appreciate all the offers. I have a new computer now and am feeling much better. It may still be a while before I start doing things again, because we are closing on a house, are getting involved in moving and getting all the utilities including Internet set up.

So again, thank you all and I hope to be back in action with everyone shortly after the first of the month.

Also happy Thanksgiving to all who observe the holiday and happy holidays to everyone else.

Maggie

Missed you.

Your comical upbeat stories are a real blessing in my life.

Welcome Back!

I'm very happy to hear that you're on the mend and things are improving. You have been sorely missed and more than a few people have worried about you. I wish you all the best. **hugs**

Love moving, hate moving

BarbieLee's picture

We look forward to a change in our life as we plan to move. We always find out how much junk we accumulated every time we move. "Is bringing all that necessary?" "Yes." "What are you going to do with it?" "None of your business."

Maggie, I kid you not. Things we boxed for the move 40 years ago are still boxed in the cow shed. It was our ninth move and our last. All family heirlooms I assure you. And once I'm gone it will all be junk. The kids told me they are going to lease a bulldozer and bury everything. HAH! Lots of luck with that. None of them know how to run one. Cat skinner skills for the family goes to the grave with me.
Hugs sweety, nice to see you're still up and going.

Once you move things never leave a box again. heck if your kids were smart they would go threw it take what hey want and call pickers for the rest.

I can not understand why they would not learn to operate machinery. Chainsaws, tractors, power tools, etc... all good things to know how to use when you are in the sticks. especially if you have the spare time.

Good to see you back

We worried some.

YAY!

Definately glad to see you "up and moving" so to speak. Hope the move goes well, and the new computer holds up!

So what's the new mansion like? Is there an observatory in the west wing? There's ALWAYS an observatory in the west wing, isn't there?

Melanie E.

That's just the telescope

That's just the telescope pointed at the neighbor's second floor window.

Welcome back, Maggie.

I'll get a life when it's proven and substantiated to be better than what I'm currently experiencing.

West Wing

Nope. No tower or telescope, sigh. But I'm pretty sure that there's a secret dungeon in there somewhere. I just have to find it. lol

But, if you can find it, it

But, if you can find it, it wouldn't be secret, would it?

I know the feeling there, My MacBook Pro will be tuning 6 years old soon, Luckily for my desktop I never stop tinkering in her.
She is still in good shape, but I fix computers for a living, so it is bad form for mine to ever be down for the count unless it is terminal.

Did you get a Desktop, Laptop, or some hybrid tablet?

Cortana is watching _and_

Cortana is watching _and_ listening. The latest round of updates permanently enabled Cortana to listen for anything you say.

Thinkpads are decent

MadTech01's picture

they were a favorite of mine for a while till, HPE pulled its thumb out and listened to business people and IT people again.
My office has just got an HPE ZBook 15 to see how well they work its almost a knife fight to see who gets to keep it as their work machine.
Or in the case of the field engineers, any tool they can find for the melee.
