Ultimate Writer's Challenge: Melanie Ezell

A new edition of Ultimate Writer's Challenge?

Lately I've been working on a group project with a few of our other authors/authoresses here, and one of them has been asking me about something I used to do....

See, many many moons ago, I posted multiple forum entries containing a year's worth of story challenges at a time: one for each week, one for each month. This person has expressed that they found these challenges a lot of fun, and would love to see me produce something like that again.

So, here's my question: would anyone ELSE like to see a new edition of my Ultimate Writer's Challenge?

A Letter To My Siblings

by Wren Erindae Phoenix

Inspired by Rasufelle’s Ultimate Challenge “Burning Bridges”

Hi.

Okay, sit down. I hope you are, because I’ve never written a letter quite like this in my life. I need you to try and read this all the way through before you judge me. It’s going to be weird and hard to accept or understand, but I HAVE to do this, for my own sanity, although you’re going to doubt I have any...

My muse is a fickle thing...

I've basically been stalled on the writing projects I've been working on for a while. I kind of know where I want to take them, but sitting down and getting stuff written has been hard. But last night, on a whim, I was poking through Melanie Ezell's Ultimate Writer's Challenge, one of the challenges caught my eye, and now I'm over 2000 words in to a new story.

When Tommy opens his big mouth in front of two female friends, he ends up biting off more than he can chew.
The CAUTION is for some strong/offensive language in the beginning as well as what could best be described as attempted rape. I tried to keep it whimsical, but it's still there so you should be warned.

Caution with this one — Hopefully the picture will give you some clues that it's not entirely wholesome in places. This one's a little bit horror. It's also more science fantasy than science fiction, so please don't get on my case about how impossible it all is.

Todd Rains has just arrived on a frontier world, looking for a place he can breath without being told when and where he's allowed to, but there's something a little off with this world. Is it the paradise he's been looking for or has he jumped out of the frying pan into a very hot fire?

The Registry- part 5

The Registry ...part 5 by Allexcited69
This is a work of fiction that deals with a simple future. In it, most people, if they were numbers, were now simple people with simple ideas and very simple needs. Harsh language is used and this story includes descriptions of sexual behaviour that may be considered disturbing to some. All names have been changed and all venues are made up.

Although Henry Harrelson may always perfectly match the customer to the boot, the delivery can still go amiss. However, due to his long experience in the business, he knows that such problems have their own ways of working out.

It was now 10 am and the Sarah and her group were in the woods, not far from the road when they suddenly heard dogs. They started running away but the dogs ran faster and quickly caught up with them.

Nearnia - The Line Which Was In The Wardrobe

Nearnia - The Line Which Was In The Wardrobe

by Maeryn Lamonte

This was going to be my entry for Melanie Ezell's big closet ultimate writer's challenge — To be continued... but it was too hard to stop. Besides it's more than twice the prescribed length, so it most likely wouldn't count.

It's raining. Lucas is bored. He finds and old wardrobe and steps into it, and we all know that magical places can be found at the back of old wardrobes.

I slept well again that night and in the morning was pestering the nurses and doctors about when I might actually leave. They told me that whilst this was a sure sign I was recovering there were still quite a few tests and observations they wanted to do to ensure I was going to be OK before they let me loose on the world again.
