No Son of Mine

No Son of Mine

Former boy, now transformed, walks to where her father still lives.

Rings the bell, fights the urge to run away.

Old man answers, still rigid and unbending despite the years.

He looks at who it is, his face a stone mask.

“I told you when you left, you are no son of mine.”

Her heart breaks.

His expression softens.

“But, if you can forgive an old fool, I would be honored if you let me call you my daughter.”

WOW

If only life would follow fiction I loved it KUDOS RICHIE

Strangely...

It was exactly what I thought it would be, based on the title. :)

Good one!

Children Know Was Good, But This Is GREAT!!!

[email protected] I've got so many 'Daddy Issues' of my own Dorothy. We've talked some; You have a clue what I'm talking about. I've been working on something for my Dad for a while now. It's been very slow going. You've said, in so few words, what I've been struggling with for years.

Thank You!!!

Lucky, lucky girl

To finally achieve reconciliation must be a wonderful feat.
Lucky, lucky girl!
Sadly some of us never, never got that chance.
Fortunately we made and found firmer, better friends but it took years to do it.
It's all behind me now and that's were it shall stay!

Nice drabble.

If Only

this could be in real life. Wait! There are transfolk out there that have love, support, and maybe some understanding from their loved ones. The Times They Are A Changing. I'm really one for happy endings, and this did make me cry a little. You wrote this well, thank you for sharing.

It would have been nice...

...but this still is so very possible for many, if hearts are willing to change. Beautiful, sis! Thanks.

I was expecting...

... a Bru story, whose title began with this title. Well, it was in spirit, and the twist was as good. Definitely heartwarming. :-) Nice one!

That last line ...

... just ... really hit me hard. I can't tell you how much I've wished my dad would be okay with calling me his daughter. Still, he has gotten to the point where he's okay calling me his child, and I know he loves me, so I still consider myself pretty lucky.

I'm very lucky too

my mom accepts me as her daughter
