Steve Williams is the son of a successful retired British Intelligence field officer. Although Steve has a reasonably successful career as an analyst at MI6, he harbours greater ambitions.
Miranda Carlos, a glamorous field officer, suffers an incapacitating injury and is unable to undertake an important intel-gathering
assignment. The mission is so important that a suitable imposter must be sent in her place. Surprisingly, the computer picks Steve as having the strongest resemblance to the sexy Miranda.
Although keen to take the assignment, he has to consider if he is willing to pay the necessary price in the line of duty. His loyalty to his country is tested as he faces the transformation that is required - especially given the warnings that some of it may be irreversible.
As Steve begins to unearth plans for a devastating terrorist strike, he finds himself fighting for his life and, not knowing who he can trust, he is thrust into a terrifying race against time to prevent a horrific atrocity.

I participated in the final proof of this, it's excellent. A good spy thriller and a very good TG adventure. A lighter-hearted story than NHM with lots of humor. :)

Breaking Cover
I read it.
I was impressed with how well it flowed seamlessly from beginning to end. The actions and plot aren't arbitrary; it builds naturally from a seemingly small event and rolls downhill, taking the reader with it. Breaking Cover was an easy read, and I was reminded of - I shouldn't even say that - it is a spy thriller with plenty of well-written action after a certain amount of conflicts and internal adjustments the protagonist must go through.
There are many elements a successful novel should have: Theme and meaning, Literature, imaginativeness, premise, internal consistancy, characters, motivation, believability, plotting, pacing, and a kick-ass ending.
Most people are already familiar with NHM and know Jenny's style. She did a wonderful job with language, theme, consistancy - you know it if you read it. This is a different story with different characters, but it retains that touch and is an improvement on NHM in several areas. It's not a contrived ending either. With a difficult, by mainstream terms, subject to work with, she managed to give it the right "feel" at the end, that it all could have really happened, and leaves the reader quite satisfied.

Enjoyed Breaking Cover very much
I purchased the download version of the book from Lulu and read it almost straight through.
Good book.
Only complaint is that I like to read books like this on my PDA, but the PDF format they used somehow prevented me from getting the font large enough to read.

Jenny asked me to read a proof copy of 'Breaking Cover' and I felt that, whilst 'No Half Measures' is very good, this is really a better read with a well constructed plot line. She is certainly a writer who is still improving and has yet to reach her peak. There's more to come from Jenny, I'm sure, and we'll all be the beneficiaries.
