Drabble Theatre: Dealing with the devil

Printer-friendly version

“So this will switch me around?”

“It most certainly will. You will no longer be a girl trapped inside a boy’s body.”

I closed my eyes and slammed down the potion in one gulp.

The devil looked pleased as he said, “One more soul in the pocket and another 'happy customer.”

It took a moment for me to realize the horror of what had happened. Being so close to my dream, yet so far away.

“What do you mean, another happy customer? Now I’m a boy in a girl's body!”

“My part of the deal is taken care of. Goodbye.”

Yep

Could have Should have seen it coming

Hey, he is the Prince of Lies afterall ...

or the next President of the United States!

-- insert wicked drum roll and Ed Mc Mahan going "Hey-Yo!" --

Couldn't resist the politician bashing. Wisconsin has been a close race the last several Presidential elections so we are a battleground state in this one and the recipient of enough political ads, mailings, phones calls and visits to approach toxic levels.

Wicked sense of humor, Amber-Willow.

Be careful

Be careful what you wish for; it might come true - but not as you intended.

Details

Like they say, the Devil is in the details!

Evil, but cute. And an excellent object lesson. Especially in a political year.

Drabble Theatre: Dealing with the devil

Dealing with the devil will always get you burned because he does what he says, but not how you want him to.
