Pretty slick, Erin!

I just tried out the new folder option. Easy and self-explanatory. And no expiration/cutoff number on messages, is that right?

My old messages ... and a new one

Last night I sent a long IM to an author offering comments on a recent story of hers. It appeared to go OK, but didn't show up in my 'sent' file. I tried a much shorter message earlier this evening (afternoon for you, I guess) and that didn't show up either. Can I assume both messages are lost somewhere in the aether, never to be read by the intended recipient?

Presumably all my old messages are gone forever - not a great loss to history ... or me, come to that :)

Geoff

Not necessarily lost.

If you go to Shoeboxen (Old Top Shelf) and log in, any non-deleted messages should still be there. Mine were.

So they are ...

... and so is the Author list which doesn't seem to be an option here. Luckily a few of your messages to me are also preserved for posterity which must reassure you greatly :0) Thanks Amelia.

I quite like the quirky 'directory' here, which randomly distributes the alphabet in a unique way.

Author list

You can use the |directory| link in the left hand menu until I get the author list working. :)

Directory is quirky but it works.

Thanks Erin

I truly admire your dedication. The site is certainly loading much quicker ... and with my pathetic 'broadband' it needs to :o(

extra hugs

The author list slows it down a bit

Takes about 1.25 seconds longer to load. :)
