How hard can we go?

Forums:

I've been a member here for two years, not that you'd know. I don't always log in, but I've read a lot, and I know that there is a lot more here than anyone could read, and I know that that not every story appeals to every reader.

There's a story that's been banging around in my head for a long time that I'd like to write, but I don't want to post it if it doesn't belong here. So here is a general idea of the situation, and if it doesn't belong on BCTS, no hard feelings. I'm very happy here and love a lot of the stories I've read. I think this site is run well and wisely and I'd rather check before diving in and causing hurt feelings.

This story would have CAUTION tags set and a big warning at the start of every chapter so no one would blunder into something they would later wish they could forget.

It's science fiction. To put it generally, some men crash on another world (let's say), and one of them is not only forced to feminize to a certain point, but also to become part of a societal class that are captives.

Captives aren't slaves, but someone sensitive to the topic would see them that way.

They don't perform forced labor or sexual services. They aren't harmed physically or humiliated individually. Their function is somewhat decorative, and their presence and passivity are meant to show the martial superiority of their captors.

There would be a fair amount of explicit sexual scenes, but I see there is a tag for that.

I hope I'm not being too vague, but I don't want to tell the whole story here.

Would it fit BCTS, or should I take my wares to some other site?

We welcome all stories

Generally speaking. I think sex with children would be the only no-no off the top of my head. No pedophilia. Otherwise all TG is fair game and welcome here.

need a moderator to look at stories we wrote when pushing the boundaries before or if they are posted. Every writer has written a story they swore would never ever, not as long as they are alive, ever escape from their hard drive. Maybe it was just a coincidence a fire extinguisher had to be used. Then twenty thirty years later they think of turning it lose...., maybe.

Oddly

The way the law is written in the US, I have more liability if I look at stories before they are published than if I wait till they appear. So I don't pre-approve stories for posting.

Then again, I've taken down less than a dozen stories in 16 years and only one of those was sort of for content but more for the trollish attitude of the poster. The others were questions of copyright or formatting so horrible it broke the site.

not odd at all

dawnfyre's picture

It isn't odd at all to me, but then here in Canada, even a cartoon image of an ADULT dressed as a child and engaging in sexual acts is legally child porn.

Some boundaries it is better to not even try to push.

What is really sickening is that even with our very wide legal definition of child porn, I could write something including sexual acts, with characters young enough to make it child porn in most places, yet as long as both characters involved are over 13 and less than 2 years difference in age, it isn't here. 13 is the age of consent for sex in Canada ( as long as the older person is at most 15, and the younger one's parents approve of the relationship, there can be no criminal charges )

Stupidity is a capital offense. A summary not indictable.

If I understood

German Law correctly. A written description involving sex between adults with a child present is considered Child Porn.

While BC is based in the US, readers and writers come from around the world. What is legal in the US, may be illegal in Canada or somewhere in Europe. (I'm not including countries where the entire concept of BC maybe illegal) Your best bet is to put warnings, so someone doesn't violate a local law just by clicking open the story.

Your Story

Your story sounds interesting.

There are several here already in that vein.

I didn't read anything in your post that would indicate underage sex. However I would echo the preference that stories not contain that element. Echo . . . and at the same time disclose that a number of my stories do have that element. Which makes me . . . conflicted.

Just be prepared. Almost every story of value will have those who love it and those who hate it. Write first for yourself. Or, better yet, find a kindred spirit who will give you an honest assessment of your writing. Stephen King runs everything he writes by his wife.

I want to clarify things. A

I want to clarify things. A couple stories I am working on have consensual sex between 16-18 year olds. One a married couple. Would this acceptable?
Thanks
