As the title implies, how do you see the authors you are following? Is there a list somewhere? I can't find it.

You don't! Well, not yet anyways....

You see, that was part of a grand experiment we started a few years back. When we started it we had grand plans. Then suddenly we were hit with constant hardware instability and increasing demand for the site that we could not cope with.

So for the last 2 years or so, we have been ripping out features instead of adding new ones. Trying to make the site more stable, and increase load speed. But we have hit a turnaround point.

Late last year we purchased new upgraded hardware. Earlier this year we began utilizing it.

As such we are ready to start work on our "grand plan" again. We are ready to start re-instituting many of our more "social" features. As well as continually increasing response times, load speeds and stability.

Over the next several weeks/months we will hopefully be able to lay out a stable sucession of upgrades and fixes that work towards these goals and the feature that you are asking about is one of those features.

Now, since I have your attention. Is there a way in your mind, that you feel the "fan" function should work? How do you invision it? We have a vision in our head and we want to make sure it matches up with what the "populace" is looking for.

I'm strictly a user.

Software change got too fast for me to follow, when DOS went underground. Hardware is more fun and what I am seeing is very interesting.

As to finding a way to follow my favorite authors, why not just keep tabs of the traffic, with the most popular in my list going to the top? The drawback to that is that new authors might have trouble getting noticed.

It works ...

What you provide now works for me. I am able to skim the front page daily (sometimes more than once) and pick out fav authors and interesting looking titles for authors who aren't my favs yet. If I were not able to do so, e.g. if my time were much more limited, then I'd like site to be able to remember favorite authors I've flagged and let me ask for "Last N days activity by fav authors."

Between the wrinkles, the orthopedic shoes, and nine decades of gravity, it is really hard to be alluring. My icon, you ask? It is the last picture I allowed to escape the camera ... back before most BC authors were born.

how i see it

Is it would be similar to the bookmark function where you can see the author's you have followed in your own profile but still see the daily story posts On the main page.

I like the idea of authors you visit more that are on your followed list will be at the top of the page so they are easier to find.
