I just added story length and character ages to the categorization available for fiction. Any of you authors who would like to edit your stories to include those categories, go ahead. :) - Erin

Hi, I managed to put in the character ages however I couldn't find Story Length. Is this on the same category screen or somewhere else? Hugs Karen

It's part of the Publication category group, now instead of just fiction, you can pick short-short, short story, novelette, novella, novel, serial chapter or series episode. :) - Erin

Maximum story size

Hi, Is there a limit on how much can be uploaded at once? I know some systems refuse uploads of more that 64K chunks etc. Thanks Karen

Max Story Size=really big

The maximum system upload size is 4 Meg for files uploaded via scripts. That's about 700,000 words! :) The largest chapter of any story on BC uploaded fine, in fact, when I loaded the moved over BC, I did it ten to thirty stories at a time, keeping each load under 3.5 Meg. This script's (Drupal's) maximum upload size is much larger--4 GIG!!!! Yeah, right. :) But there is room to raise the max SYSTEM upload size to 8 Meg without straining things. That would easily upload the entire Tuck saga, 105 chapters, (950,000 words, about) as one single file, did anyone violate Ellen's copyright and create such a thing. I think the Jade story was close to 64K. - Erin

How do you add illustrations to the story?

Is there somewhere you have to upload the pictures to before they can be used in the story posted?
