Not an exhausted heavy, but rather the difference of being behind the wheel of an economy car versus slamming the gas of a high end Dodge Challenger.

Watching through Dela's eyes, Alexander kept his metaphorical mouth shut, and tried to stay calm. The situation should have been impossible, but it was happening, so he had to deal with it.

Dela was looking all around, first at Huginn and Muninn, then the guards, and then the surrounding area. 'Think of something,' she thought to him.

“You shouldn't think of anything,” Huginn said.

I’d pretty much given up on trying to convince myself I wasn’t trans by that point. I was still trying to convince myself that a girl body, whether human or dragon, was a “nice to have” rather than the burning need it had soon become once I’d started thinking about it.

Were some trans women lesbians, if that was the right word for it? The parental control software wouldn’t let me find out and I couldn’t ask anyone.

Now I had a label, and Meredith’s permission to use it. I wasn’t sure if I liked the fit of it, but it certainly sounded a lot nicer than what Nathan had called her last time he and Dad were gossiping about her.

It took me a long time to decide to post this. The following is the last collaboration I had with Maggie Fenson. Though, 'Collaboration' is something of a stretch. We talked about it, I wrote some, got stuck and put it aside. I kept meaning to come back to it, like I kept meaning to call or email Maggie. The things you 'mean' to do turn into regrets when you let time get away from you. I miss you Maggie, and I hope wherever you are, this puts a smile on your face.
