What A Girl Enjoys

Serena pushes the lawnmower up and down the lawn. She was listening to music from her iPhone as she was cutting the lawn. Her purple color phony tail was bouncing with each step she took. Occasionally, she would start singing. She was wearing a pair of short shorts and a white sports bra.

Her fair skin was already starting to burn. She’s been outside since seven in the morning working in the yard. Her aunts were at work and she had the house to herself. She couldn’t wait for her friend to come over, so she could have some fun with him.

"Now that you're feeling better, your Mother and I have been discussing your punishement."

"Punishement," said Vic, blankly.

Her parents had called her down to the family room and sat her on one side of the coffee table, while they sat on the other. Vic was baffled, and even after hearing her father say this was still confused.

"For drinking and going to a strip club."

Vic was stunned.

Masks 13: Part 1

While revising Masks XII before posting it on my Web page, I came up with an idea for a character whose story would begin late in that tale and continue in XIII. However, I soon realized the story worked better as a stand-alone. So, that idea and character became XIII and what would have been XIII is now XIV.

Predawn at the besieged island was very late at night at the Intrepid's base. Those working in the Intrepids' Mission Command had - under orders - gotten sleep and meals in shifts so that most of them could be reasonably fresh on duty when Tritonicus was expected to rouse itself.

My Super Secret life…Villain-19

*Before…

I shrug and smile. “I have my secrets it’s part of my charm.”

Link looks frustrated and amused at the same time. “It is dammit.”

I finish my coffee and I start getting everything on and finish it all with leather gloves those thin ones you see as the fancy type on TV as presents and stuff for women and black combat/hiking boots.

I’m moving around and getting a feel for it and Link looks at me and gives me a thumbs up while she’s yawning. “Looks good kinda paramilitary though.”

“I wanted lots of pockets.”

“I thought that you’d go all cape and cowl spooky like.”

I look at her as I’m actually fitting my gear in to all the pouches and pockets and slots. “No capes.”

*And Now…

Sixteen Feet of Steel Chapter 17

*Before….Angeline

I remember looking around and seeing just him and me and then my strength went out and I fell.
I thought that I was dying as the battleknight walked towards me shining in the sunlight.
Light brown enameled plates trimmed with brass and with some very old fashioned designs to it and the coat of arms a bears head and swords in gold on a shield with red as the color for the field.
The rig, the battleknight looked old but the coat of arms looks new…gold leaf? It was shiny.
The rig cage opened and this man jumped out and he was wearing brigandine armor and a woolen cloak that he took off and wrapped around me. He had long wild and unruly curly brown hair kissed with sun fade and this thick but not too long beard to match.
He pressed a skin to my lips and water had never tasted so good.
“I saw the light lady what happened.”
(Coughing.) “Lyonnes…it’s fallen, I was sent here by a friend…an aunt.”
“Lady Blackhand.”
I nodded.
“And you would be lady?”
(Coughing.) “Angeline…Angeline Lyonnes….eldest daughter…”
He looked surprised and maybe a little frowny?
“King Wyatt Braithe my lady, your husband to be.”
And that’s when I fainted again.

Daughter of Mars Part 3

Daughter of Mars
Part 3

Captain Andrew Ross USAF, whose brain has been transplanted into the body of the beautiful red Martian princess, Vali Dar, has been attacked by an assassin but complications arise when she wants to learn to defend herself.

The story is written as pulp fiction and is an attempt to copy the writing style of the early twentieth century. As in most of Edgar Rice Burroughs stories, the heroes are strong, faithful, and valiant; the women are beautiful, virtuous, and adored; while the villains are cruel, cowardly, and despicably evil.

In the end good always triumphs over evil.

Antifreeze…Part 7.

It’s the sound of the sizzle that wakes me up and the chatter of little voices and hearing Grams and Grammy being said from the kitchen. I open an eye to see Stacy looking at me still under the covers. I think she was watching me while I was sleeping.

“Yhgnn…Morning sis.” I yawn and oh…I’m feeling all of yesterday adding up on me still and the very unused to feeling of crashing in a pile on the floor.

“Morning….you look just so amazing when you sleep Shayne.”

Huh?

“Huh? I need coffee you want to try that again?”

Chile 1855….

It’d been a long damned tired trip from home to Chile and I’d thought that I’d left all the excitement and the drama of America behind me. Well guess not, I just came to find out that South America was still an America of a sorts.

Just as wild, and just as filled with its own dangers. Like the tsunami that hit here a week or so ago. I wasn’t here but riding through the countryside the last few days I’ve seen plenty of things that really show the power of nature.

Part of me honestly wants to stop and help a few of these folks but one I’m a gringo until they take in that I’m a woman or that I look like one, then there’s the fact I’m white and American and a senorita.

Yep…heard right.

I look like a girl.

Most people know the name Edgar Rice Burroughs from his most popular character "TARZAN". Burroughs did have several other characters with John Carter being his first, appearing in a serialized story in a 1912 pulp magazine called The All-Story under the title Under the Moons of Mars. The story was renamed and published as a book called A Princess of Mars. Now out of copyright, the first five books are seeing adaptations of ERBs first hero.

The story is written as pulp fiction and is an attempt to copy the writing style of the early twentieth century. As in most of ERB stories, the heroes are strong, faithful, and valiant; the women are beautiful, virtuous, and adored; while the villians are cruel, cowardly, and despicably evil. In the end good always triumphs over evil.
