Who says life is always fair? Ginny knew differently on that front. Her father had run out on her and her mother when she was just eight years old, her mother abandoned her when she turned fourteen years old. She had just come home from school and found a note telling her that she had gone off with her boyfriend and would be home in a few days. The days had gone by and her mother never showed up. She called her aunt out in California and asked her if she heard from her mother and she said no. She told her aunt everything, but there wasn’t anything she could do, except send some money to her. Her aunt had sent the money order she had promise for five hundred dollars. Luckily the cashier down at the Quickie Mart knew her and cashed the money order for her. Ginny used that money to pay the electric bill and last month’s lot rent on the trailer she was living in. She knew she was going to have to find some work to support herself. She knew Barney down at the local junkyard would let her work under the table out in the yard pulling parts and stacking tires that were good. Barney would be willing to let her work 40+ hours a week. He was opened six days a week.
She had to stop going to school to work full time in the junkyard. She needed the hours she was in school to work at the junkyard to make enough money to pay her lot rent and bills. When she wasn’t out in the yard getting parts, she would help the other guys install parts or take parts off the cars they were working on for clients.
She put together her own tool kit from tools she found lying around in the junk cars Barney brought. Barney let her have a 2002 Honda Helix CN 250cc black scooter to ride back and forth to work. It had been rebuilt from parts from other non-working ones that were lying around the yard. The motor was still good in one and so her and a few of the guys transferred parts off the other non-working ones and rebuilt the one Barney told her she could have with them. Now she wouldn’t have to catch the bus to get to the junkyard and home again.
She got a part time job working under the table at a nearby exotic bar. The bartender knew Ginny worked for Barney. He offered her a part time job working on days they got busy, which was mostly the weekends as a dishwasher. The pay she received was below minimum wage for the work. Her duties included, scrubbing the dishes and restocking the liquor bottles. She was also responsible for restocking the beer. She had other duties that included doubling as the bus boy, cleaning up the dirty dishes off the tables. She would fill in some nights as a waitress when one of the regular ones called in sick. When she filled in as a waitress, the owner of the bar made her dress in a skimpy cheerleader outfit. The other waitresses barely wore anything.
Ginny knew that she didn’t have anything to worry about from the men that came in regularly. She wasn’t pretty or anything, if nothing else she was kind of plain looking. Even when she tried to dress up to impress a guy, she would look younger than she was or looked like she was wearing her mother’s clothes. She just didn’t have the figure or looks that the men that came into the bar were looking for. Barney told her that she was what most men consider a homely girl. No attributes that was appealing to the men that frequent his bar. He didn’t mean it in a bad way, but she didn't have her mother's voluptuous curves or build that makes her stand out. Her features came more from the guy her mother became pregnant from. He was half-Hungarian and half-Eastern, maybe Russian or German. No one knew for sure. This was before her mother married her father. He knew she wasn't his, but didn't care.
Most of the men who showed up in the bar, knew her mother was the local prostitute. They all felt sorry for her and left her alone. They knew she was underage and knew her mother had run off with a guy a few weeks ago. The older men that knew her always kept the younger ones away from her when she worked as a waitress. They would protect her if the younger ones tried anything with her, like grabbing her butt or getting fresh with her.
The trailer she lived in wasn’t much. It was an old travel trailer that had been built back in the early 70’s. It was only seventeen feet long and six feet wide. Someone had painted it a pastel green color. During the winter months she had to use a space heater to keep it warm and during the summer months, she had to run the air conditioner to keep it cool. When the wind blew, the trailer shook. The trailer park where she lived was old and most of the people kept to themselves. Not because they didn’t like people, but because most of them conducted some sort of illegal business out of their home. Some sold drugs, while others sold illegal moonshine or conducted prostitution out of their trailers. There was a large variety of things that took place in her trailer park, which she didn’t want to have anything to do with. The deputies in the local sheriff department didn’t care as long as they got their freebies from them. Not all of the deputies were corrupt, but a few of them that patrol her trailer park were.
By the time she got home from working at the bar at night, it would be three or four in the morning. She would only get four hours of sleep, before she had to be at the junkyard in the morning. When Ginny walks in, the first thing to come off was her shoes. She kept them by the front door. The next thing was her clothes, as she slips into her nightshirt. She has a small television set that she could watch the local broadcast on. It had the converter hooked up to it to receive digital signals. She had picked up some Chinese food on the way home from the junkyard.
The people that owned it knew what she liked and made extra for her.
Ginny sits down on her sofa and places a movie from her collection into the DVD player. She was so tired from working today. She props her feet up and watch her movie. By the time the movie ended, she was fast asleep. She had finished her dinner, before falling asleep.
Thunder rumbles right outside her trailer window as rain starts coming down sideways hitting her window hard. It sounded like someone had turned on the water hose and left it on. Ginny wakes-up as a loud crashing sound shakes the trailer and then a loud explosion. The light she normally keeps on in the bathroom goes out. A few minutes later she hears fire trucks approaching her location. The sirens get louder as she slowly gets off her sofa and put her robe on and steps out on her front porch to see what was going on.
Just as she steps out onto her front porch the smell of brunt wood and grease assault her nose. She looks down from where her trailer was and notices at least six trailers were on fire. There were already a few fire trucks there containing the fire. She couldn’t remember if she paid the insurance on the trailer or not. Her landlord always came by on the first and the fifth of the month to collect rent payments. She stands there and watches as the fire trucks contain the fire and the paramedics help the people that had managed to get out. When the fire trucks start leaving, she turns around and head back inside and grabs a flashlight from the kitchen. She walks to her bedroom and lay down because she has work tomorrow.
Ginny wipes the sweat from her eyes as she adjusts the baseball cap she was wearing. She glances around her and wonders why she even volunteered to come here. To work at another junkyard and pull parts for the owner of it as a favor to Barney. She should have kept her mouth shut when Barney was asking for volunteers to come out here. The junkyard was out in the middle of nowhere and it was a hundred and ten degrees with no breeze. She had started work wearing a t-shirt with Barney’s logo on it, but as the day got hotter. She had taken it off and was just wearing her sports bra under her bib coveralls. She didn’t have much in the chest department. She wore a double AA bra and looked like one of the anime girls from one of the popular manga videos. The bib coveralls she wore to work in covered up her small chest. So, the only thing people saw was the sport’s bra strap anyway.
Ginny goes back to working and as the day drag on, she has to go further and further out into this guy’s property for parts that people were looking for. She had been warned about rattle snakes and a few other snakes she would have to be careful about. As she is walking around looking for the car she had been sent out to pull parts from, she got an uneasy feeling that someone or something was watching her. She just shakes it off as she finds the car she was looking for and goes to work removing the part. She knew it was going to take her a while to remove it.
As she is working, she drops her ratchet on the ground. As she bends down to retrieve it, she hears growling coming from behind her. She stands up and turns around to see a coyote/wolf hybrid standing behind her. She had seen one before, but never this close to her or this angry looking either. It looked to have rabies. Its eyes were red and was growling at her. It had saliva drooling out of its mouth and looked monstrous in the face. She slowly steps back away from it.
It lunges at her and knocks her on the ground on her back and tries to bite her. Ginny puts her arms up to protect her throat. It sinks it teeth into her arm and bites her several times before releasing and tries again for her throat. Ginny gets her feet under the animal and kick it off her. She scrambles to get up off the ground. As she stands up and starts running, she could hear it coming for her. She spots a pipe and grabs it. Just as she turns around to protect herself, the coyote/wolf hybrid lunges at her. She uses the pipe like a baseball bat and swings. The pipe connects with the coyote/wolf hybrid in the head. Ginny hears the skull crack as the coyote/wolf hybrid drops to the ground before her. She drops the pipe and runs as fast as she can back towards the main office of the junkyard.
As she approaches the main office, she spots some of the guys she works with and falls to the ground several feet away from them. She was burning up and felt sick to her stomach. She felt like her skin was on fire. She was barely aware as someone picked her up off the ground and carried her over to the office trailer. Ginny felt as she was placed in a chair and someone touching her wounded arm. She felt the warm water as they cleaned the blood away from the wound.
“Ginny, Ginny what attacked you?” Jose had seen Ginny collapse to the ground when he spotted her running towards him and the other guys.
He had spotted blood on her left arm as he carefully picked her up off the ground and carried her inside the office. One of the other guys had gotten a chair for him to set her down in.
“It looks like she has been mauled by a dog or something, Jose.” Robert was cleaning up Ginny’s wounded arm with water from his spare bottle water. He had taken off his bandanna and wet it down with the water and was cleaning her wounded left arm.
Jose looks over at Ginny’s arm and couldn’t believe how mauled it looked. He checks her. She was barely responsive.
“We need to get her to the hospital. She is burning up.” Jose had placed his hand on her forehead to check her temperature.
Marshall looks at the young girl and the guys surrounding her. They had been sent out by Barney to help him pull parts out of his yard for a rich client. They were waiting on the part that the girl had been sent out to pull.
“It will take the paramedics too long to get here. There’s an old bathroom tub out in the yard. Go and get that. We can fill it with water and ice from the ice machine and bring her temperature down.” Marshall figured there should be enough ice in the old hotel ice machine he had fixed and kept around for himself and the guys that worked for him.
“I’m on it.” Jose had seen it earlier today while looking for parts. He and Todd run out to the yard to fetch it.
“We need a first aid kit. Do you have one?” Robert looks at Marshall.
“Yes, right here.” He hand an old looking one that should work.
Robert looks around in the office to see if there was anything else he could use on her wounds.
Ginny could hear everything going on around her, but when she tried to watch what was happening to her. It all appeared blurry to her sight.
Her insides felt like they were on fire like her skin felt. Ginny leans her head back against the head rest on the back of the chair and rolls her head towards the right side. Her head felt so lightheaded and she was sick to her stomach. She could barely make out Marshall’s features. Ginny felt her wounded arm again and smelled something familiar as she felt it touched her arm where the wound was.
Robert had spotted some superglue sitting on Marshall’s desk and had grabbed it. He had seen it used once to close a wound. He figures he could use it to close some of Ginny’s wound that would require stitches to close. He opens it and starts taking care of her wounds.
Marshall wonders what Robert was doing pouring superglue on the girl’s wound and pinching together the torn skin on either side of her wound. He watches as Robert holds the wound close as the super glue dries.
Jose and Todd had found the old fashion bathroom cast iron tub and carried it back to the main office. They use several rags to plug up the drain hole and got the water hose and were filling it up with water. They already knew where the ice machine was and used some semi-clean buckets to bring ice from it to the tub.
Once it starts filling, Todd heads inside to get Ginny.
“Bring her out. It’s filling now.”
Robert finishes the wrapping of her arm up and picks Ginny up out of the chair and carries her to the tub. Once Robert was at the tub, he lowers Ginny’s barely conscious body into the cold water.
Ginny was barely conscious when she felt herself picked up and carried over to the tub. She became instantly aware as her body was submerged into the ice cold water. She tried to lift herself out of tub.
“Hold her in. We need to bring her temperature down.” Robert grabs her injured arm, but carefully places his hand on either side of her wound.
Jose and Todd grab her.
Jose pushes down on Ginny shoulders, being careful not to push too hard. Todd holds her left arm down like Robert was doing. Marshall plunges his hands into the cold water and holds Ginny legs down, so the lower part of her body was submerge.
Ginny stops struggling and passes out. She was so tired and drifts off into nothingness.
Jose and Marshall feel Ginny’s body go limp as they release their grip on her.
“You can release her. She’s passed out.” Robert let’s go and looks at Ginny’s pasted out form.
“We better call Barney and let him know we won’t be coming back tonight.” Robert pulls out his cell phone and dials Barney’s number.
Marshall looks at the rest of the guys.
“Why don’t you two go back to where Ginny was and try to see what tore-up her arm and pull that part we need to ship the order off?” Marshall still needed to get these parts shipped off or this day would be wasted.
“I’m not going back there, unless I have a gun or something.” Jose didn’t want to be attack like Ginny had been.
“I have a rifle in the office. You can take that to protect yourself with.” Marshall figures he’ll stay up and keep an eye on the girl.
“Fine, where is it?” Todd starts walking towards the office to get it.
“Under the counter” Marshall watches as Todd goes into the office.
Robert had been on the phone with Barney letting him know what was happening. So far Barney wasn’t happy hearing what happened to Ginny. Robert knew Barney thought of Ginny like a daughter. He had told Robert that he would pick-up the tab for them staying there tonight and when they were able to travel, to go ahead and bring Ginny back to her place. Robert finishes his call with Barney and informs Marshall they were going to stay the night. Afterwards, he walks over to check on Ginny’s unconscious form. She was totally out of it and her temperature had gone down some. He figures by morning, her temperature would have broken. He soaks another bandanna he had with him and places it on her forehead. He dribbles some water onto her face and lips.
“We got the part and saw what attacked her. It was a bloody coyote/wolf hybrid. She cracked the head of it open with a cast iron pipe.” Jose sets the part down in the bin that they were using to put parts in that they pulled to be shipped off tomorrow.
“You should have seen it guys. This thing was huge. I’m surprised she managed to defend herself against it. I grabbed her t-shirt and tools while we were back there as well.” Todd sets down Ginny’s tool box and her t-shirt she had arrived in on top of the tool box.
“Well we’re staying the night, till she is able to travel.” Robert points over towards Ginny’s past out form.
“I better call my wife and let her know.” Jose pulls out his cell phone and calls his wife.
“Well, since I don’t have anyone to call. Why don’t I go and get us some food and beer?” Todd looks towards Robert and Marshall.
“I’ll come with you. Since you guys came out to help me, it will be my treat.” Marshall heads inside the office and grabs his keys.
“I’ll check on Ginny and see you two when you get back.” Robert walks over and checks on Ginny as he watches Marshall and Todd drive off in Marshall’s battered rust covered pick-up truck.
Robert checks Ginny again. He dips his bandanna back into the water and squeezes the excess water out and places it back on Ginny’s forehead. He dips his fingers in the water and let them drip on her face and lips. He turns one of the buckets that had been used to bring ice over to the tub upside down and sits on it near Ginny’s pasted out form. He was watching her as she slept in the tub. She looked so peaceful and young. Her skin was bright red from being out in the sun all day. Robert knew Ginny and her family background. He also knew she worked really hard to prove herself to everyone. Whenever he went to the bar that Ginny worked at on the weekend, he would look out for her.
Jose comes walking back from where he went to speak to his wife in private. He spots Robert over beside the tub watching over Ginny’s sleeping form.
“How is she doing, Robert?” Jose stands on the other side of the tub and looks down onto Ginny.
“She is so out of it. She hasn’t moved since she passed out.” There was a touch of concern in his voice.
Jose kneels by the tub and examines the wound on Ginny’s forearm.
He looks over at Robert “Man, I am surprised that the damage to her arm isn’t worse than it is now.”
“You have never seen Ginny fight before or play baseball. She has a mean swing and fast ball.” Robert dribbles some cold water onto Ginny’s forehead.
Robert hears the pick-up come driving up to the office about half an hour later. He gets up and walks over to greet and see what they brought back.
Afterwards, the rest of the guys make a make shift table and bring a few chairs over and get some more ice from the ice machine and put the beer and sodas they brought back with them in a cooler. They drink the night away after stuffing their face with ribs and barbecue. Robert checks on Ginny every once in a while to make sure she is still breathing and that her temperature has gone down.
“Have a nice afternoon, sir.” Ginny takes the customers money and puts it in the cash register. She watches as the gentleman leaves the shop and walks out towards his car.
She couldn’t believe Barney wouldn’t let her work out in the yard like she was used to doing. Since her return two days ago, from the other junkyard and the hospital. Barney has been keeping her in the office, instead of letting her work out in the yard. Her wounded arm was better and there wasn’t any sign that it had been hurt, except for a scar that had formed from Robert gluing the skin back together. It was minimal, but you could still see it. It went the length of her forearm. She kept it wrapped up for appearance sake. Because there would be no way to explain how fast her wound healed.
She remembered waking up in the middle of the night with Todd half wasted sitting by the tub. She was still feeling under the weather, but her fever had broken and she could see clearer. Everything wasn’t as blurry as it had been. She recalled being as weak as a new born baby and couldn’t move. So, she just stayed in the tub till morning. She had heard coyotes and wolves howling throughout the night.
When the sun came up and the guys had woken up from sleeping all night. Robert had picked her up out of the tub and sat her down on one of the make shift car seats chairs they had put on a wooden box to sit on last night. He had checked her over and gave her some aspirin for the slight fever and pain she still had. Marshall had fixed breakfast for everyone. The breakfast sandwich she shared with Jose didn’t taste right to her, like it was over cooked or something.
Marshall had a few suitcases he had found in a few of the cars that had clothes she could change into. She found a sun dress that she liked and would fit her. She wore that back to her place from that junkyard. Barney had given her two days off with pay to recover after he took her to the hospital to be checked out. Dr. Kwan at the hospital was amazed at how fast the wound was healing. She had checked her wound after visiting the hospital the next day and notice they were completely healed. She couldn’t believe it. Something else that was strange to her was any food she ate tasted different than she remembered. It didn’t taste the same as she remembered. Even the can soup and instant soups she kept around the trailer tasted different. Ginny freaked out when she notices she could hear what was being said several feet away from her. She could hear her neighbors and what they were saying when she was outside and what was playing on their television set as well.
It was startling at first to her. She could feel, smell, taste, see and hear better than any person. That wasn’t the only thing Ginny discovered. When she went to open a door in her trailer, she tore the door right off the frame. Something strange was happening to her, but she didn’t know why or how. Ginny had heard over the television set about the vampires coming out, but there weren’t any out in Kingman, Az. That she knew of. There weren’t any Goth clubs or anything that would bring the supernatural to this area.
“How’s business today?” Barney comes walking in with lunch in hand.
“It’s been a little slow today.” Bruce looks at Barney as he comes walking in with lunch.
Ginny looks at him and could smell the lunch he had brought for them. It was a hot ham and cheese sandwich and onion rings for her and a roast beef sandwich and potato chips for her partner Bruce. There was a meat trio in the bag with oil and vinegar in there for Barney as well. Ginny tries to keep herself from drooling. She has been hungry all morning long. She had her normal breakfast which consisted of cereal and coffee and was still hungry. So, she fixed herself some cheese toast and ate that before heading to work. While she has been at work, she had been craving something to eat. She was feeling really, hungry.
“Well, I brought us lunch. Barney stops at the counter and opens the bag “one full size ham and cheese sub with everything on it and an order of onion rings.” He hands them to Ginny.
Ginny accepts them “thanks, Barney.”
“Any time sweetheart” He pulls out Bruce’s lunch and hands it to him. Afterwards Barney heads towards his office to eat his lunch.
Bruce looks over towards Ginny “I’m getting a coke; do you want one?”
“Sure, here let me get my purse.” Ginny moves to get her purse.
“It’s on me today, Ginny” Bruce turns back around and heads towards the soda machine.
“Thanks” Ginny starts eating her lunch. She devours all her onion rings and half her sandwich by the time Bruce comes back with their sodas.
He looks at her sub and empty paper tray where her onions rings had been.
“Boy, you must have been hungry.” Bruce hands Ginny her soda.
“Thanks.” Ginny accepts the soda and blushes from wolfing down her food so fast.
Lunch goes by quietly and by the time it was closing time. Barney lets Ginny go home early. When Ginny walks out to her scooter, her nose was picking up every one’s scent that had walked pass her scooter today. She mounts her scooter and puts her safety helmet on as she drives off. She stops at The Crazy Horse bar to see if she was going to work this weekend. As she walks in, she notices a few new faces in the bar.
Ginny waves hello to the bartender as she heads back to the manager’s office. She’s hoping Clarence had a few hours for her this weekend. She needed the money and even if Barney paid her for the two days she missed work, she still needed the extra income.
She stops and knocks on the office door.
“Enter!” Clarence was busy balancing the books. He looks up as the door opens and Ginny comes walking in.
“Hi Clarence, I was wondering if I was working this weekend?” Ginny stands before Clarence’s desk.
He notices the bandages on Ginny’s arm and around her hand.
“Are you going to be able to work with your hand like that?” Clarence didn’t want to push Ginny to hard.
“Yes, it won’t bother me while I am working.” Ginny hadn’t told anyone that her arm was completely healed yet.
“Okay, why don’t you come in and work Friday and Saturday as a waitress. The patrons seem to like you when you’re dressed as a
cheerleader.” Clarence couldn’t see why they liked her. It wasn’t like Ginny was one of his prettiest girls or well developed either. If Clarence had to describe Ginny in one word, it would be plain looking. He had to admit that Ginny was a hard worker and Barney said she needed the money.
“Thanks, Clarence.” Ginny would make a hundred dollars easily this weekend.
“You’re welcome. Here’s your pay for last weekend.” Clarence hands Ginny what he owes her in cash for the work she did last weekend.
She turns around and heads out of the office with her pay. She stops and gets a coke at the bar and order up some dinner to go. She loved the food the chef cooks here. She drinks her coke while she is waiting for her food. Normally, Ginny doesn’t watch the customers unless she is serving them their order, but tonight something felt different in the air. She turns around on her stool and looks behind her. She tries to identify a scent she has smelled since she came in. She sniffs the air and tries to get at least which direction the scent was coming.
As Ginny follows her nose, it guides her to the direction the scent was originating from. She spots a man she has never seen before in the bar sitting and drinking a beer. The scent that was drifting over from him smelled of male animal musk and liquor. Not the type of smell you would find on an alcoholic, but one that handled alcohol. So far, he wasn’t looking over towards her. Ginny wonders what he was looking for. Since her food was going to take a few more minutes. She walks over towards the table he was sitting at.
“Excuse me sir, I don’t mean to bother you, but I’ve never seen you in here before.” She stands there feeling nervous. She could feel something special about this person.
Leonard had watched as a short girl with shoulder length black hair and a plain looking face with a bandage around her left arm and hand walked over to him. He also notices she had a recent sun burn and he could smell blood coming from the bandage. There was something else, something he had never smelled before. There was a mixed scent on her. It smelled of wolf and coyote. He looks at her eye color and notice they were bright amber.
“I’m looking for someone and I think I might have found them.” Leonard looks at Ginny.
“Are you saying you came in here to find me?” Ginny was curious why anyone would want to find her.
“Yes. A friend of mine said he smelled something unusual about you when he came up to the junkyard today.” Leonard was hoping the girl would believe him.
“Ginny, your order is ready.” Jake holds up Ginny’s order.
“Thanks, Jake.” She turns towards Leonard.
“If you’ll excuse me, I’ll go and get my order and come back to you.” Ginny walks over to the counter and gets her order from Jake.
“Thanks Jake.” She walks back over to the table where the man was sitting.
“Do you mind if I sit down with you?” Ginny would love to eat her dinner, but it wouldn’t be polite.
“How about we go and speak somewhere else. I have a feeling that you would like to know more about what has happened to you and I would like to ask you some questions as well.” Leonard stands up after tossing a few dollars on the table.
“Okay, but I hope it’s not too far from here.” Ginny follows the guy out the door. She heads over towards her scooter and starts it up. She watches the guy walk over to a nice black Dodge Challenger.
Leonard watches as the girl walks over to a black Honda scooter. He could tell she rode it a lot, because of all the dust on it.
“Do you think you can keep up with me?” Leonard had a mischievous look on his face.
“If you take it slow, I can.” Ginny gets on her scooter and follows the guy as he drives off.
“Ouch! That hurt.” Ginny was laying on her back on the practice mats. She was hurting from this afternoon’s training session. She flips back up on her feet like she had seen in some of the martial arts movies she has been watching lately. She turns around to face her teacher/mentor.
Shawn just watches their newest recruit. She was a mutt and undisciplined in every sense of the word. She was also the only female Werewolf hybrid the pack has ever had in its history since it was established here.
“You need to practice some more on your own.” Shawn stands ready for her attack. He has already figured out her pattern of fighting.
“When do I have time to practice anything?” Ginny attacks Shawn with several punches and kicks. She knew it was useless, because he could counter each one of her attacks easily.
Shawn blocks and parries each of her attack effortlessly. She was quick and used moves he hadn’t seen before. They were a little sloppy on their execution, but impressive if she had managed to connect.
“Well, you could accept Leonard’s offer to live with him and let him take care of you, since you’re still a minor or you could come and live here. That way you can quit one of your jobs and practice what we are teaching you.” Shawn and his Alpha had talked about her living here. She was a minor and the only female hybrid wolf in North America of any pack. Her age alone already made her the youngest bitten wolf around. Add her being a female on top of that and a hybrid to it; it made her a unique pack member. He had felt that she posse some sort of a unique talent as well.
“But then you guys would be smothering me all the time and restricting my movements. As it is, I can’t go to work unless one of you take me or to the store unless one of you are watching over me. People are starting to talk and have been asking me questions about my relationship to you guys.” Barney had asked her if she was sleeping or turning tricks. He was concern about her and the fact she was under-age.
She told him that Leonard, who had been the one that took her to work and picked her up from work, had saved her life. She told him how she had been walking back from the store when a bunch of guys had jumped out and attacked her. Leonard had seen what had happen and came to her rescue. It wasn’t far from the truth. She had been assaulted last weekend after working most of the night at The Crazy Horse and had killed and eaten some of the flesh of her attackers. She had been introduced to the Alpha of the Kingman Pack by Leonard when she had first met him at the bar and followed him to the property the Pack owned. They owned the old 000 S Aquarius Mtn Ranch Road property. She had seen that the lone cabin on the property had been kept and refurbish for guest, but a newer three-story Spanish style mansion had been built on the center of the property.
The guys that had attacked her, were sleaze ball bikers that come through occasionally. She knew them because her mother had sex with both the last time they came through Kingman. The last time they were here, she had to spend the night down at her neighbor’s house, because they thought she was on the menu that night. She was thirteen at the time.
They had showed up on Saturday afternoon and came into the bar to watch the dancers perform and order drinks. Since they were sitting at the tables she was taking care of that night, she had to interact with them. Most of the night they ignored her and just paid attention to the dancers and ordered drinks and wings. It wasn’t till closing time that things took a bad turn and she had her first change.
They had left the bar emptied handed, because most of the girls didn’t like the way the men treated them. When she left, and headed to her scooter. She saw that someone had sliced her tires on it. She was about to call James to come and get her and her scooter. When she was grabbed from behind and shoved up against the back-brick wall of the bar. She could smell the whiskey they had been drinking when he told her, since her mother wasn’t around to please them that she would do. He had held her tight and dragged her over to a secluded area and pushed her down on the ground. His partner had grabbed her hands and was holding them above her head. She had tried to fight him off with her feet kicking aiming for his manhood, but he managed to dodge her kicks and pinned her legs down.
That was when she felt the beast inside of her come to the surface. Her fear had triggered her first changed. She had managed to break free from their hold and changed into her beast instantly. It had hurt and there was a popping sound that had followed at the same time she did it. She had instantly changed into her beast and attacked them. She had ripped the throat out of the one guy that had ripped her cheerleader outfit and then disemboweled the other one. She had eaten some of their flesh and ran off afterwards. She remembered waking up hours later in Metcalfe Park covered in blood and in her birthday suit. She didn’t remember how she got there, but she knew something bad had happen. She had managed to break into the men’s restroom at the park and clean the blood off her. She threw up when she found a piece of flesh in between her teeth.
She sneaked back to her scooter without being seen and found her torn clothes and the men she had killed. She found her cell phone and dialed the number Leonard had left her with after the meeting she had with the Alpha. Leonard had answered the phone and she told him where she was and what happened. He had told her to hide and remained hidden till he and Bryan got there. After she had gotten off the phone, she hid nearby like she was told to do. She waited till Leonard had gotten there along with his Alpha, Bryan. Leonard had found her instantly with his nose and carried her to the pick-up truck they had come in and put her inside first. Then Bryan and Leonard cleaned up the area and put the dead bodies, her scooter and their motorcycles in the back of the truck and drove off from the crime scene. She was getting nervous again and could feel herself ready to change again.
She remembered Bryan touching her on her arm. When he touched her like that, she remembered calming down immediately and putting her beast to sleep. He had kept his hand on her arm till they got back to his place. Bryan had carried her down a hidden flight of stairs and into a room that had several jail cell style cells in it with a cot. He told her it was for her owned good right now and he would stay with her for the rest of the night. He told her that she could change and not hurt anyone. He said the bars would make it so she couldn’t touch them for long. Because the bars were covered with silver impregnated paint and a solid steel and titanium core. She wouldn’t be able to break herself out of them. She would be safe inside, till she learned how to control her change.
She remembered him laying her down on the cot and locking the cell afterwards. She had broken down and cried all night long. She was kept in there all day Sunday and was allowed out later, only if she agreed to have a pack member keep an eye on her. If she didn’t agree to this, she would be kept in there all week till he was satisfied she could control her beast. She was taken upstairs to the Master bathroom and given a bath. Leonard had gone out and bought her pajamas suitable for a girl her age and dressed her in them. She was feed and finally put to bed so she could get up and go to work on Monday.
Bryan had said that for now on, she would always have a pack member shadowing her, till she learned to control her beast. If she didn’t like it, she could quit her job and live with Leonard or move from where she lives now and move in here at the mansion. She was now considered part of the pack and since she was still under aged she would be taken care of.
“Look Ginny. You’re a very rare occurrence. Most women don’t survive being bitten. On top of that no one your age has ever survived being bitten, male or female, that along makes you very valuable to any pack around. If you add the fact that you are the only female hybrid wolf around, which we still don’t understand how that is possible. It gives you a unique status in the Werewolf community. Since you are the only female wolf around, it is the Alpha’s duty to protect you. It’s a wolf thing, not a human thing. It is part of his nature or I should say our nature to protect the females and the submissive in our pack. It is the reason we fight among ourselves sometimes. First, we must find where we fit in a pack structure and then once we discover our rank or place in the pack, then we protect the submissive and females. You guys bring order and calmness to us, so that makes us very protective of you guys.” Shawn watches Ginny as she digests what he just told her.
Ginny didn’t know what to make of this. She knew that there were twenty members in the pack so far and that a third of them were submissive. She was the only teenage female in a group of twenty men. She knew one of the men in the pack was a known gay guy in town and someone you didn’t want to get in a fight with. He was ex-special forces and he owned a local bar in town. It was called the Desert Moon. She had thought about working there, but she heard the owner played by the rules and wouldn’t hire someone her age.
She looks towards Shawn “Let me think about it some. I can see some benefits with either moving in with Leonard or here. It would allow me to save some money and maybe go back to school as well.”
“See there is a bright side to all this. Now, let’s get back to your hand-to-hand training, shall we?” Shawn runs towards Ginny to throw her off guard.
Ginny is caught off guard as she is sent to the mats again. She gets up and goes at it again with Shawn. She already knew it was going to be a long three hours and she’ll be going to work all bruised and sore tomorrow morning. How she was going to explain her condition, she’ll have to twist the truth and tell Barney and the guys she is learning to protect herself, after last weekend.
She and Shawn continue to work for a while more. Since she lost, it would be her job to clean up the exercise room. She cleans up the exercise room and wipes down the mats, before heading upstairs to the bedroom she was using as her own. She pulls out a pair of shorts and a tank top and lays them out on the bed with clean underwear. Since she really didn’t have much of a chest, she decided not to wear a bra today.
As she walks out of her bedroom, she spots Shawn coming out of the bathroom with a towel wrapped around his waist.
“You’re turn, pup.” Shawn just smiles and heads into his bedroom to get dress.
“I’m not a pup.” Ginny just shakes her head. Ever since Leonard started calling her a stray puppy, all the other people she interacts with here at the mansion has picked up on it.
Ginny heads into the bathroom with the toilet seat still up and Shawn’s sweat soaked exercise shorts and shirt hanging out of the dirty clothes hamper. She stuffs them in and then her own exercise clothes afterwards. Hers were more sweat soaked then his were. She loved the fact that Bryan had a huge bath tub and shower. It could hold six or eight people at once and have plenty of hot water to use. She relaxes under the hot water and thinks about what Shawn has been trying to get her to do. It would be easier to explain things at work to Barney. She could just tell him that she was renting a room up here or even at Leonard’s place. Leonard’s place was closer to her work and could easily get there on her scooter or walk there on foot. Here she could still get to work by her scooter, but it was a longer ride. She could quit her job at the bar and only work six days a week, instead of all week long each week.
Ginny thinks about this during her shower. She gets out and dries off and heads back towards her bedroom with the towel wrapped around her slim body. She was skinny and notices that her appetite was more than normal now. As she walks into the bedroom, she notices that someone had called her on her cell phone.
“Hey, Ginny its Marshall Ridges. A gentleman from Eugenics Research stopped by and wants to talk to you about what happened with one of their escape research animals that bite you last week. I’ve texted you his name and phone number and he wants you to call him when you can. I hope you’re feeling better. Thanks again for all your help. Bye.” Ginny checks her texts messages and notices the text from Marshall. The person name is Dr. Carl Weathers and his phone number is 928-374-5231.
“I better show this to Bryan and see what he says.” As Ginny starts to get dress, she notices someone has left a braided gold bracelet with a charm on it that said: To our, newest stray puppy, The Pack. Someone had left it lying on top of her folded-up tank top.
Ginny shakes her head back and forth as she puts it on around her wrist and finishes getting dress. She brushes out her hair and notices that it has gotten longer and was down past her shoulder blades. She’ll have to ask Bryan about that as well. Ever since her first changed, she notices her hair has been getting longer. Also, when she was in the shower, she noticed her body was filling out more and she was becoming curvier then she used to be.
Ginny walks downstairs and hears voices coming from the living room. There were at least six voices coming from it. At least three of them she knew, but the other three she didn’t know. She cautiously walks in and looks at all the men standing around drinking whiskey and talking.
Leonard, Shawn, was standing over near the fireplace. Bryan was sitting in a custom-made recliner and smoking a cigar. The two of the three guys that she didn’t know were sitting on the sofa and drinking whiskey. The other guy was leaning against the wall near the door she was walking through.
“Sorry, if I’m interrupting anything.” Ginny stops and looks at all the guys standing around.
Bryan looks up at Ginny’s voice “you’re not interrupting anything Ginny. We were actually talking about you as a matter of fact.”
Bryan puts his cigar down and stands up and walks over towards Ginny.
“Did I do something wrong?” Ginny watches as Bryan walks over to her.
“Nope, I want you to meet three more members of the pack.” He gives Ginny a smile and takes her hand in his and turns her to an older gentleman with a bald head standing near her.
“This is David Robins and he works for Arizona’s MVD.” He was shorter then Bryan and a little bit more muscular then Leonard. He looked to be in his forties.
David looks at the pack’s newest member. She was short, young and kind of plain looking. She had straight black hair past her shoulders and a light tan to her skin. He could tell she was of European decent, because of her facial features. He had run her mother’s name and her name through the data base and found nothing on her, but found out that her mother had a suspended license for a DWI two years ago. She was still using the same address that the girl was listing as her address in the trailer park.
“It’s nice to meet you, my dear.” He lifts Ginny’s hand up and places a kiss on it.
Ginny blushes from the kiss on her hand, because no one has ever done that before to her.
“It’s nice to meet you too, David.” Ginny felt a little nervous being around him. She could feel the power he posse. She could tell he was
weaker then Leonard, but stronger then Shawn.
Bryan smiles, because he had watched her expression and could sense she knew how to tell the pecking order in the pack. He walks Ginny over to Tom Anderson and his cousin Andrew Cables. Ginny learns that both own an aircraft supply and rental company. Tom was the older between the two and was a Marine. He had dirty blonde hair and a scar on the left side of his face from a challenge he had been in. His cousin Andrew was an aircraft mechanic and flew airplanes. He had joined the Air Force at the same time his cousin Tom joined the Marines. Both had short brown and black hair. Tom had black hair, while his cousin had brown hair. Both were about the same height and build and had very dark tans. She figures that they spent most of their time outside in the sun.
Tom and Andrew saw the same thing that David had in their newest pack member. She was short and underage. They could also smell that she wasn’t a pure wolf, but a hybrid like they had been informed.
Andrew looks at their newest pack member “So? I heard you had your first change last weekend. What did it feel like to you?”
Ginny had to think about that question. She thought back to how she had changed and how her beast had sprung forth out of her body instantly.
She looks at everyone before speaking “I don’t know what normal change is to you guys, but mine was instant. It was like my beast just sprung forth from my body. One minute I was human and the next I was a Coywolf. I didn’t go through what you see in most Werewolf movies. My
Coywolf just sprung from my human form.”
“You’re saying that your beast just sprung from your human form instantly?” Shawn and Leonard both looked at Ginny.
“Yes, it just sprung forth and attacked the men who were trying to rape me.” Ginny remembered what they had intended to do to her.
“Wow, I would have given money to see that.” Shawn couldn’t believe it.
“Ginny, could you change right now if I asked you too?” Bryan turns to look at Ginny.
“I think so, sir. However, before I do change. I just received a text message from Marshall at the junkyard I went to last week. He told me a representative from some genetics company that was using the Coywolf for animal testing had visited him and wanted to talk to the person their test subject had bitten. I can’t legally agree to this, because I am underage and the fact that it was his test subject that has turned me into what I am now.” Ginny looks towards Bryan.
“They might want to draw blood and question her about what happened. How they managed to administer the virus that creates us to an ordinary Coywolf and then have it passed on. It would be interesting to learn about. Also, where did they get their hands on the Werewolf virus in the first place?” Andrew looks at Bryan and Ginny.
“I wouldn’t mind learning what they were up too as well.” Ginny looks at Bryan.
“Alright, Leonard, David, I want you two to go with Ginny and act as Ginny’s father. David, I want you to go and search their place and find out what they are researching.” Bryan looks at Leonard first and David afterwards.
“Yes sir.” Leonard could easily act like Ginny’s father.
David figures it shouldn’t be too hard. He’ll just use his NSA credentials to get in and look around.
Bryan turns towards Ginny “I think it might be best if you move in here till you learn how to control your change. I know you might not like this, but you’re unique and new at being a shifter.”
“I’m under contract for two years and I own my trailer.” Ginny didn’t want to leave her home. It was hers and she wanted to stay there.
Bryan puts his hand on Ginny’s shoulder “look, I know I’m asking a lot from you, but it’s for your own good and those around you. You need to learn how to control the beast inside of you and you can’t do that on your own in this territory. Normally, the wolf that changed you would be responsible for teaching you how to control your wolf. However, in this case the wolf that has bitten you can’t teach you. To add to your problems, you’re the only female wolf around for several states. That makes you an asset. The only other female wolf around is in Las Vegas and there are only three of them and the pack they are part of protect them jealously. One is the mate of the Alpha and the other two are unmated. They have body guards around them always. Since Kingman is considered neutral territory among the packs. A lot of packs meet here to hash out their problems with each other and with other supernatural creatures that would love to see each other dead. You would be a trophy for them to have.”
Ginny looks at Bryan “fine, I’ll move in here, but I won’t quit my job at the junkyard.”
“You don’t need to. You can keep both your jobs if you want to. Having you at both locations is an asset to us.” Bryan figures being honest with Ginny would work best.
“Fine, you’ll need to talk with the manager at the trailer park and inform him. He will want to speak to me.” Ginny didn’t mind the manager. He had been a good friend to her and helped her when her mother left her.
Ginny winces when Dr. Weathers draws blood from her. Leonard was in the examination room with her, holding her hand for courage. Ginny hated needles and kept her eyes on Leonard as the doctor drew blood from a vein. Leonard kept his eyes on what the doctor was doing. Dr. Weathers had asked Leonard’s permission to draw blood from Ginny to see if she had been infected with rabies that their escape test subject had been injected with.
Dr. Weathers explained to Leonard and Ginny that they were testing a new vaccine to combat the different types of rabies that animals carried.
The Coywolf that had bitten her had full blown rabies, but had been treated with a new vaccine they had been working on. They wanted to see if the new vaccine would work against the rabies.
Leonard could tell that Dr. Weathers was hiding something. His lie wasn’t convincing enough, but what he was hiding he had no idea about. David should have by now gotten what he was looking for.
Doctor Weathers examines the blood he took from the young girl to see if the transference of the Were-wolf virus had occurred. He had mixed the Were-Wolf virus with the rabies. He had injected the mixture into the Coywolf he had captured. He wanted to create a new type of Werewolf breed. If it worked, he could create different types of Were-Wolves for the department of defense.
So far, he doesn’t see any of the virus in her blood work. He had examined the bite mark and could tell it had healed without leaving too much of a scar, because someone had used crazy glue to close the wound. According to what she told him.
Doctor Weathers looks up at Leonard and Ginny “well my dear, it looks like you haven’t been infected with rabies at all.”
Ginny looked relieved “well that’s a load off Doctor Weathers.”
“That is good news, Doctor. I was worried that my little girl would have to be flown to the hospital.” Leonard looks at Ginny like a concerned
father getting good news.
Doctor Weathers looks at Ginny and her father. He notices Ginny’s eyes and how they had a bright amber color to them.
“You have an unusual eye color Ms. Williams.” Leonard spoke up for Ginny.
“We thought her eyes were unusual as well when she was born, but I’ve come to love her eyes. Our family Doctor said it was a one in a million chance for her to have eyes like that.” Leonard was laying it on thick, so the Doctor wouldn’t question Ginny’s eyes. He hugs Ginny to him like a proud father.
He had seen that her eyes had originally been hazel in an old student id photo she posse, but since she was bitten. Her eyes had started to take on the coloration of a coywolf. Even as her hair coloring was slowly changing. When Ginny came down to breakfast this morning at the pack’s house, everyone notice that her hair had gone from being pure black to having streaks of blonde in it. They had dyed it back to black for her meeting with Dr. Weathers today.
“Well, she is lucky that she wasn’t infected with rabies. Her blood work shows no signs of the rabies infection, but I would like to do more test on it, with your permission.” Dr. Weathers wanted to see if the Werewolf virus he had mixed in did what he wanted it to do or was it canceled out by the rabies. If the rabies did neutralize the mixture, then he’ll try it with gene therapy.
“Well if you’re done with us, Doctor Weathers. I need to get back to work and drop Ginny off at home.” Leonard looks towards Ginny to give her, her cue.
Ginny noticed her cue “Doctor, is there anything I should look for just in case you missed something?”
Ginny distracted the Doctor, while Leonard switches her blood sample with another person’s blood they had gotten to use for hers. Bryan had figured that they would want to keep her blood sample for study, so they had gotten another source to use for her.
“Well, if you start having muscle pains, fever or headaches. Get in touch with me immediately. The longer you wait, the more danger you’ll be in.” Doctor Weathers hopes she doesn’t show any symptoms, because then he’ll come under review and his project will be canceled.
“Okay, Doctor.” Ginny gets down form the examination table she had been sitting on. She walks with Leonard and the Doctor out of the examination room. She hears the slight vibrating sound of Leonard’s phone coming from the pocket he keeps it in.
“Excuse me, Doctor.” Leonard pulls his phone out and sees a text message from Daniel.
He looks back up and at Ginny “I need to go now dear. Work just had an emergency they need me to take care of.” Leonard makes sure Ginny understood his meaning.
“Okay daddy. Thank you, Doctor.” Ginny shakes the Doctor’s hand.
“Anytime, call me if you have any questions or problems.” Doctor Weathers watches as they walk off. He wonders if she was hiding anything. He has her blood sample, so it couldn’t be hard to research it to determine if she’s been infected.
Ginny and Leonard walk out to the vehicle they had come in and spotted Daniel standing by it.
“I take it that you managed to do what you set out to do?” Leonard was looking at Daniel when he said that.
“Yep, infecting their computers with a virus so that we can remote in and look around without being seen was easy. The security on the door
protecting the sever room was easy to by-pass.” Daniel’s secondary specialty in the pack was being their computer hacker.
“Guys, can we go and get something to eat please. I’m starving.” Ginny was hungry and needed something to eat. She had eaten a light breakfast against Bryan’s advice and so now she was hungry.
“Come on pup, we’ll stop and get you something to eat.” Leonard just shakes his head as the three of them climbed into his truck. Ginny sat in between David and Leonard. She has stop trying to correct them about calling her a pup or puppy. In their eyes, she was just that.
Country music played on the radio as Leonard drove. She had found out that he didn’t like any one touching his radio and switching stations on him. Her stomach growls loudly as they drive down the road towards the nearest Wendy’s.
“We better hurry, or she’ll think about eating us.” Daniel looks at Ginny and ruffles her hair.
“I’m not into cannibalism.” Ginny turns her head towards him and sticks her tongue out.
Daniel just smiles “it’s going to be interesting having a young pup in the pack. Wait till the other members meet her.”
“Oh, I think everything will work itself out. She’ll be well protected and looked after.”
Leonard already knew to a certain extent what was going to happen. Ginny was the only female in their pack and within several states, other than Las Vegas. He knew Texas had at least three females in their pack and that Florida had five females in theirs. The packs in Montana had two naturally born women in their pack. There was a total of three hundred women from all the packs in North America. Leonard knew that there were at least one million wolves in the United States.
“Don’t I get a say in this?”
Ginny agreed to live at the packs house, but now it sounded like she was going to have body guards around her.
“You agreed this morning to the terms Bryan told you about. Believe us when we say that you are being what you are. Being the only teenage girl around for several states. We’re going to have to keep an eye on you. It’s more for your own protection than anything else. Even though we are a neutral state. There will be wolves or even other supernatural creatures that will come here and try to take advantage of you. At least with us protecting you, you’ll always have a family that cares about you.”
Daniel had done his research on Ginny and knew everything about her family from who her birth father was down to the current location of her mother and the man she had married for money.
“Good grief. If I had known being a Were-coywolf was going to be this complex, I would had run off.” Ginny gives Daniel a serious look.
“It wouldn’t have matter if you did Ginny, your body gives off a unique scent that any supernatural could pick-up on.” Daniel watches as Leonard pulls into the Wendy’s parking lot and parks.
Ginny looks at Leonard” are we eating in?”
Daniel opens his door and looks back towards Ginny “looks that way, pup.”
Leonard just smiles when he hears Daniel answer for him. He opens his door and climbs out, followed by Ginny. She follows behind Leonard with Daniel on her left-hand side. When they walk into the restaurant and get in line, Daniel stays behind her.
Ginny looks at the menu “mmm, let’s see. I think a number seven with two double stacks, two spicy chicken sandwiches and a large frosty will do me.”
When it’s Leonard’s turn to step up to the counter and the cashier ask him what he wants “I would like to order a number seven with two double stacks and a large vanilla frosty, four spicy chicken sandwiches, three double stacks, two double bacon stacks and two large cokes with little ice.“
The cashier gives Leonard their total and two cups so they can fill their drinks while the food is being prepared. Ginny walks over to the soda fountain and looks around. She could smell everything in the restaurant. Her nose was twitching and her mouth was watering. Everything was a little overwhelming to her senses. Daniel comes up beside her and lays his hand on her shoulder.
“Relax. Just relax and center yourself, Ginny.” Daniel uses a bit of his power to relax Ginny.
Ginny closes her eyes and thinks about something relaxing. She needs to learn to get her beast and abilities under control. Ginny breathes slowly and studies her nerves.
“Come on Ginny, let’s go and sit down.” Daniel guides Ginny over to a table where the three of them could talk in private and eat.
Ginny opens her eyes as they get to the table. They sit down with each guy on either side of her.
Leonard hands out the food and starts eating what he ordered for himself. Ginny takes the spicy chicken sandwich she had order along with her frosty and other sandwiches.
“Do you think Doctor Weathers has anything to do with my change?” Ginny directs her question towards Daniel and then Leonard.
“Let’s leave this conversion till we get home and talk with Bryan about everything.” Daniel looks at Ginny to emphasize his meaning.
“Fine” Ginny eats her sandwich and listens to another person’s conversion going on around her. Some of it was boring. The conversions were your normal everyday problems and conversions. Ginny listens and enjoys her sandwich. Her nose starts twitching as she sniffs the air and looks towards the door.
A young pregnant African American woman comes walking in with her husband and her other two children. She turns her sights back to Daniel and Leonard.
“Leonard, would it be alright if I get another large frosty?” Ginny was still feeling a little hungry and she wanted another frosty.
“Yes.” Leonard reaches into his pocket and pulls out a ten spot and hands it to Ginny.
“Bring me back the change.” He hands her the ten-dollar bill.
“I will.” Ginny walks up to the counter and order another large frosty for herself.
Ginny gets the frosty and heads back over to the table where Daniel and Leonard were sitting.
“Here’s your change Leonard, thank you.” Ginny hands Leonard his change as she sits back down at her place.
Once everyone is done eating, they all head back to Leonard’s truck and head towards Bryans house. Bryan wanted to hear what they discover about the doctor. Ginny sat quietly between Daniel and Leonard, as Leonard drove the truck.
Chapter Six
Ginny was curled up on the sofa listening to Bryan, Leonard and Daniel as they spoke about what Daniel had found out at the genetics research lab. Most of it was legal research, but Daniel did say he found a few files that were encrypted in a secure sector on the server. There were several files that had experiments being conducted by Dr. Weathers. Those were the files that were encrypted and Daniel was going to need time to get into them. However, the backdoor program Daniel had place in the genetics lab server had allowed Daniel to look around some.
“Does anyone know why he is conducting these experiments?” Ginny was curious why anyone would be crazy to play with the were-wolf virus.
“That’s what we are trying to figure out, Ginny. There’s no way an ordinary coywolf could have gotten a were-wolf virus in him. The virus
doesn’t cross species like that.” Daniel looks towards Ginny when he answers. He recalls everything Bryan had told him about how she came to be a were-coywolf.
“How do you explain the other type of Were’s?” Stephen comes walking in and looks at everyone present.
“Those viruses have been around for a while and come from other parts of the world. You can’t introduce the were-wolf virus to another species. It doesn’t work that way. Even if the animal ate a were-wolf, he wouldn’t become one. What I think the good doctor is doing, is mixing it with a rabies virus to make it cross species capable.” Daniel was sure that was the route the good doctor was heading down. The two viruses were similar in how they worked.
“That still doesn’t answer the question, why?” Ginny sat up on the sofa and was looking at all the guys present.
“Well, we have the blood the doctor took from you Ginny. One of our members is a Hematologist. He can analyze your blood to determine what exactly the good doctor had done to make you a Were.” Daniel was thinking about Raymond. He was one of the packs submissive wolves that worked in the medical field.
“So, you’re saying that it’s impossible for a normal animal to become infected with the Were-wolf virus, but somehow Dr. Weathers is trying to make a new type of Were-animal with the virus.” Ginny figures the good Doctor must be crazy.
Daniel looks at Ginny “that’s what we are saying, Ginny. It’s highly impossible to cross-species the virus.”
Ginny shakes her head and wonders why he would do this. She looks outside and notices how welcome the pool looked.
“Bryan, is it okay to use the pool?” Ginny figure she would go for a swim, since she had the night off from the bar.
Bryan looks towards Ginny when she speaks “Sure, do you have a swimsuit upstairs?”
“Yes sir. I have one upstairs in my room.” Ginny had let Stephen and another member cleanout her trailer and bring her personal items here to the house. She knew Bryan had talked with her landlord and talked with him about the trailer and her contract with him.
“She has a nice little mermaid one that I think you’ll like to see her in.” Stephen looks at Ginny and winks at her with amused smile on his face.
“You didn’t have to go through my things Stephen.” Ginny’s cheeks turn beet red from embarrassment from Stephen’s comment. It was the only swimsuit that would fit her when she brought it. It was at the end of the season and it was the last one left in her size.
“Okay, but be careful.” Bryan just smile as he watches Ginny head upstairs to her room to change.
Ginny couldn’t believe Stephen would embarrass her like that. She heads into her room and strips out of the clothes she had worn to go to the doctors and into her swimsuit. As she stands in front of the mirror hanging on the back of her bed room door, she examines herself. Ever since she was bitten and had her first change, her body had started feeling out more. Some of the baby fat she still had redistribute itself to her hips and ass. She still looked like an eight-year-old girl with no body development now. She stood four feet two inches and weighted forty-eight pounds. Ginny couldn’t figure out why she still looked like an eight-year-old, but she was fifteen years old. Even with the swimsuit on, it still made her look younger then she was.
Ginny heads downstairs and back towards the den and out the sliding glass doors with her beach towel that matched her swimsuit. It had Ariel the little mermaid on it. There was a handmade wooden stained lounge chair set-up nearby. Ginny tosses her little mermaid towel on it, just before she dives into the crystal-clear water of the pool. The cold pool water felt nice against her warm body. It turned her lips blue, as she holds her breathe and swims the whole entire length of the pool underwater. The pool itself was thirty feet long and at least forty feet wide and twenty feet deep.
Once Ginny arrives at the other end of the pool she surfaces and takes in a breath of fresh air. She couldn’t believe she just swam the whole entire length of the pool underwater. She holds onto the side of the pool edge for support, because the deep end was twenty feet deep. Ginny knew she wasn’t a very good swimmer and the last time she tried to swim to the bottom of a pool, it was only nine feet deep. She stays where she is and just look back towards the other end of the pool. She pushes off the pool wall and start swimming back towards the swallow end using a freestyle stroke. As she is swimming, she thinks about what they have learned about the doctor and the coywolf that bite her. She couldn’t figure out why anyone would introduce a rabies virus combine with a were-wolf virus to an animal. That would be so stupid. She takes a breath as she flips and push off the wall at the swallow end of the pool.
She used to love when she had swim practice at school. It gave her time to think about how school went and a chance to get away from her sorry life. Ginny flips again and heads back towards the deep end again, after pushing off the swallow end wall. She hopes her life has taken a change for the good as she swims. Ginny wonders now that she is living up here with Bryan and some of the guys from the pack. She wonders what restrictions Bryan is going to put on her. She already knew that Bryan had someone shadowing her when she went to work at the junkyard and the bar.
Clarence informed her that he might have to let her go, because one of the other girls needed more hours. Ginny didn’t mind if he did, because Barney was keeping her busy at the junkyard. She was no longer permitted to go out in the yard, unless it was to tell or look for a part for a customer. Barney wanted her to work behind the counter now, instead of the yard. She flips again as she hits the deep end and push off with her legs. She loved the exercise she was getting as she swam.
"Heads up, pup” A black rubber inner tube lands right in front of Ginny’s swim path.
Hey, you almost hit me.” Ginny jerks up to avoid being hit by it. She was still in the deep end as she treads water to stay afloat and looks over towards Stephen. She notices he had amused look on his face.
“I told you to look out, pup.” Stephen jumps into the pool and swims over towards Ginny.
Ginny watches Stephen as she holds onto the inner tube for support and let her legs drift upwards behind her. She holds tight as Stephen pops up in front of her.
“You know, you look like a little girl in that swim suit.” Stephen couldn’t believe how young Ginny looked.
“I know, I’m so flat chested and small for my age. I’m finally getting some curves to make me look a little bit more mature, but it isn’t doing anything to make me look older or for my breast development. I hate looking like I’m eight years old. No one is going to take me serious looking like I do.” Ginny looks into Stephen hazel eyes as he held onto the tube in front of her.
“I hate to say this sweetie, but because you are a female the male Were-wolves won’t take you serious. The reason for that is, is because there aren’t a lot of your gender around in the packs. It’s a male only club and for most packs the female’s role isn’t much. They are either wives to the pack leader or other wolves in the pack. If you marry someone in the pack, you gain their position within the pack. The female wolves are considered the lowest in the pack structure. If Bryan had a mate that was a wolf, you would answer to her. However, since he doesn’t. You assume that position, until another woman is turned or join us from another pack.” Stephen felt he should share how things were going to be for Ginny now in the pack.
“I thought women in the pack can’t leave the pack?” Ginny was confused now.
“There’s no rule that says you can’t marry another wolf in another pack, if you have the Alpha’s of both packs permission.” Stephen remembers the relationship he had with another like him in another pack.
“So, what is going to be my job in this pack?” Ginny was starting to regret her decision.
“Well, since we are in a neutral territory and it’s our job to enforce the rules here. Your job will be to play hostess, secretary and coordinator.
Bryan is well off and has interests in a lot of different businesses, so he does a lot of traveling sometimes. Sometimes, you’ll be required to travel with him as he goes to meet with different packs to arrange things. While you are traveling with him, you’ll be acting as his secretary sometimes.” Stephen had talked with Bryan about what Ginny’s job would be.
“But I thought I wasn’t going to be allowed to go anywhere without an escort?” Ginny was remembering what she had been told.
“You won’t be alone. Either I’ll be with you or Leonard will.” Stephen just smile, because Leonard had volunteered to watch over Ginny.
“Doesn’t Leonard have a day time job?” Ginny didn’t mind. She thought he was a nice person and had helped her out a few times.
“Yes, he does which means he can watch you when you’re at work. His job isn’t too far away from yours. He’ll be responsible for taking and picking you up from work; unless you want to ride you’re scooter back and forth.” Stephen knew Leonard watched her any way.
“Ow, Ow,” Ginny looks at her image in the mirror. The parts of her body that weren’t covered up by her swimsuit were as red as a lobster. She should have listened to Stephen when he told her to put more suntan lotion on. Ginny carefully raises her arms above her head, squinting from the pain from her sunburn. She lets the sundress she had slip over her head and down her body. Bryan and some of the guys were taking her out for lunch today. She grabs her purse, after checking her hair she heads down stairs to see if the others were ready.
“Here she comes, our little red puppy.” Stephen had grabbed a can of Solarcaine to spray Ginny’s body with. He had seen how red Ginny had gotten yesterday.
Ginny sticks her tongue out at Stephen.
“Alright you two, play nice.” Joe had come home last night from a long business trip and learned that their newest pup had moved in.
Ginny looks over towards the new wolf she hadn’t met before and wonders who he was. She hadn’t picked up his scent coming downstairs.
“Come over here Ginny so I can spray this on your skin, sweetie.” Stephen held up the can to show her.
Ginny looks at the can and walks over towards Stephen so he could spray her body with the Solarcaine.
“Lift the back of the sundress up, sweet heart. I need to get to your back as well.” Stephan starts on Ginny’s legs first, since they were the worse.
Ginny lifts the back of her sun dress up, as goose pimples form on her skin from the solarcaine being sprayed on it. She knew Stephen wasn’t interested in her so she didn’t mind doing what he requested of her. She was watching the man she didn’t know to see how he felt about her.
Joe watched with an amused look that appeared on his face. He watches as Stephen sprays their newest puppy with the solarcaine. He had been told she was fifteen years old, but looking at her you wouldn’t see it. She looked more to be around six or seven years old wearing panties you would find on a little girl, instead a fifteen years old. He notices her figure had changed some since her transformation as most of her baby fat was converted to muscles. Other than those changes, she still looked like a little girl who should be in elementary school. He tries not to breathe too deeply because of the fumes from the solarcaine drifting his way.
Ginny sneezes from the spray when Stephen gets near her neck and shoulder. Her chest and stomach area had been covered up by her swimsuit.
“Bless you.” Joe says as Ginny sneezes.
“Thank you.” Ginny was feeling better after the spray hit her sunburned body. The straps that rested on her sun burned shoulders weren’t hurting any more.
Stephen stands up and looks at Ginny’s relieved face “feel better now?”
“Yes, thank you.” Ginny gives Stephen a hug for the relief he had given her.
She leans in close to his ear “who’s the other guy over there?”
Stephen whispers back to Ginny “that’s Joe and he’s third in the pack after Leonard.”
“I can hear you two whispering.” Joe was amused at their newest pup.
“Sorry Joe, but Ginny wanted to know who you were.” Stephen hands Ginny the spray.
“I didn’t know who you were, so I was asking Stephen. I guess whispering doesn’t do any good around wolves.” Ginny puts the can in her purse.
“It does if you’re not in the same room. You’re only ten feet from me, so I can still hear everything you say Ginny.” He walks over towards her.
“Sorry.” Ginny blushes as she adjusts her purse strap.
“Now, if the two of you are finish, can we go and met up with the rest of the pack at the restaurant.” Joe grabs his keys and heads towards the
front door.
Ginny follows behind him with Stephen behind her. The two of them follow Joe out to a fully restored1967 Black Pontiac GTO.
“Wow!” Ginny couldn’t believe how well the car looked. She had seen pictures of some of them hanging at work and a few rusted out ones at
Marshall’s junkyard, but she had never seen a fully restored one.
“You like it?” Stephen had stopped next to her, while Joe walked around to the driver side.
“Yes, do you think Joe will let me drive it when I get my license?” Ginny could feel Stephen as he stood by her side.
“I doubt it, pup. You’re too short to touch the gas and brake pedals.” Joe had heard Ginny talking to Stephen about his car.
“I’m not that short.” Ginny walks over and opens the passenger car door and climbs in back.
“Yes, you are.” Stephen sits up front with Joe.
“We would have to get you a booster seat for you to sit in.”
Stephen turns to look at her “oh, I love your Hello Kitty panties you’re wearing today.”
Ginny just blushes. She tried wearing panties meant for grown women, but because of how her body was built and how small her waist was.
They kept falling down her legs. Only the little girl panties fit her frame.
The ride into town was quiet. Joe had his car radio set for the local station that Barney had set at work. Stephen would sing along with a few of the songs and Joe didn’t mind his sing, even if he was off key sometimes. Ginny was watching the highway and the other cars they pasted. It was different from riding her scooter to work. It was humid out, but Joe and Stephen had their windows down, instead of running the A/C.
Ginny looks towards Joe “so which restaurant are we going to?”
“Puerto Diablo, Restaurant. One of our pack members and his wife owns it and the food is top of the line there. There’s a section that is
completely private and set aside just for the pack.” Joe loved how Cesare prepared and cooked the food at the restaurant. His partner and wife Maria was just as good as he was. Between the two of them, the restaurant was always packed.
“I plan on ordering the Alambre dish that Cesare does so well. What are you going to order Joe?” Stephen looks at Joe.
“My usual dish the barbacoa. I love the way Maria prepares it. What types of Mexican food do you like pup?” Joe looks in the mirror back towards Ginny.
“I don’t know. I normally get tacos or burrito’s when I go to Taco Bell for lunch sometimes.” Ginny had never eaten in a famous restaurant before. She knew Puerto Diablo was famous for their Mexican dishes and were rated one of the best restaurants around Kingman, Az.
“We’re going to have to expand your taste buds, pup.” Stephen was thinking of a spicy taco dish for Ginny called Al Pastor Tacos.
“You have to remember Stephen by the time I got paid and paid off my bills. I couldn’t afford to go to any fancy restaurant. I could barely afford
Taco Bell or McDonalds.” Ginny didn’t feel sorry for herself. She had been doing alright, before she got bitten.
“Well, you don’t have to worry about that any more, pup. Today’s lunch is on the pack master and all your other needs are taken care of either by me, Leonard, Charley, Daniel, Joe or Bryan. Since you’re the only female in our pack, it’s our responsibility to look after you. You can squirrel away your paychecks from work for something you really want or give it to Bryan and he’ll invest it for you into different businesses the pack owns.” Stephen figures he might as well let her know now that she will be taken care of.
“You guys don’t have to do that. I can pay for myself.” Ginny was getting a little overwhelm about all this pack stuff.
“Just think of it as being a perk Ginny of being the only female among a lot of men. A lot of us come from different time periods where it was the gentleman’s job to take care of the woman. Since its Bryan’s job to make sure all his wolves are taken care of and you are the only female we have in the pack. It’s our job to make sure you have everything you need, if it’s not to outrageous. We’re not going to buy fancy cars or designer dresses, unless it’s for a special occasion. It’s just our job to make sure you’re kept safe and cared for.” Joe was trying to make Ginny understand how wolves work.
Ginny just sighs and rest against the backseat. She didn’t want to be treated like a child.
“So, is there like a head honcho I can complain to about how women are treated in the pack?” Ginny figures there had to be a head guy to keep all the packs in line or orderly.
“There’s Councilman O'Breen. He’s the representatives for all the packs on the supernatural council, but I don’t think you’ll get far with him.
He’s older than most wolves around and thinks women should be kept barefoot and pregnant.” Stephen remembers some of his comments when he heard that he was gay.
“That’s barbaric. Doesn’t he know women have rights and should be treated equally?” Ginny couldn’t believe it.
“He does now. After the wife of the Immortals representatives cut him down and read him the riot act. She pulled no punches with him.”
Stephen remembers meeting Victoria and her husband afterwards. She was a were-wolf married to an Immortal councilman and they had an Immortal were-wolf child, thanks to her cousin Ava in Kentucky.
“Who is she and how did she manage that?” Ginny wanted to meet this woman.
“Her name is Victoria Brown and she is a private investigator that lives in Chesapeak,Va. She is also a were-wolf married to an Immortal
Legionnaire commander from ancient Romanian times. She comes from a very mixed and powerful family that has relatives that are Fae, Vampire, Were-cat and Were-wolf in it. Normally, when one of her family members speaks, you better listen. They are very powerful and very seep in the supernatural world and the magical world.” Stephen had laughed his ass off when he heard what Victoria did.
“So, your saying that a female Were-wolf married to an Immortal legionnaire gets to run around by herself? Why does she get to do that and
the other women can’t?” Ginny wanted that type of freedom.
“She doesn’t. She has two guards that run with her and help her with her cases. She had to agree to this by her Alpha and her husband couldn’t interfere.” Stephen watches Ginny’s expression in the rear-view mirror.
“Dang it” Ginny was perturbed. She thought she finally got a way around the rules.
Stephen and Joe just smirk when they see her reaction.
Ginny figures she might as well give-up, since there wasn’t any way she was going to win.
“Don’t feel bad, Ginny. A lot of women feel the same way you do. Right now, Ava and her mate are trying to get things change. The council is
considering her proposal because one, she is the daughter of two clans and the niece of the most powerful witch around. Second, her mate is the daughter of the second most powerful Were-wolf pack in North American. Our pack is the first, because we enforce the neutral state of here. Third, Ava herself is consider one of the most powerful people around, because she possesses the spirit of the Black Dog inside of her and has two different forms. Her mate is as powerful as she is, because she shares her power with her. Even if she didn’t, her mate and her Aunt are the only ones that can control her. She is also very protective of her adopted sister/cousin. One Fae lord found out that you don’t hurt anyone she considers hers. So, when she speaks the council listens to her or pay the price for not listening to her.” Stephen met her twice when she traveled here to Kinsman, Az. with her mate to negotiate a peace treaty between a half- Fae group and a Were-Cat clan. Since Ava was part fae and part were-cat.
“So, if she’s that powerful, why does she listen to the rules then?” Ginny figure she could tell them to F off.
“Because Ava, claims the Were-cat side of her nature. The Were-cats have different rules and don’t fear their women getting hurt. Women who get bitten by a Were-cat tend to survive better than those bitten by a wolf. Ava herself is a very rare type of Were-cat. There aren’t very many of them and among those that exist, she is considered coming from royal blood.” Stephen knew there was an area in Colorado that had a tribe of her kind that was Native American. They were supposed to be related to the Native American Lynx god himself.
“You’re not helping me cheer up, Stephen.” Ginny watches as Joe pulls the car into the restaurant parking lot.
“Alright you two, we’re here.” Joe parks his car next to Leonard’s.
Ginny climbs out after Stephen steps aside to let her out. She follows Joe and Stephen inside the restaurant. As soon as she walks through the door, the smell and the scent of the patron’s present assaulted her senses. She grabs Stephen’s hand as they head towards the area reserve for their pack. She stops and looks at all the pack members present with their loved ones. She couldn’t believe it. A lot of the men here had wives and children. She looks towards Stephen with a why didn’t you tell me look?
Stephen just smiles and escorts Ginny to her seat, which was near Bryan and Leonard. Once she is seated. Two waitresses come in and take their drinks order. Ginny orders a sweet tea for herself. When the waitresses come back with their drinks, Stephen places an order for Ginny.
“Hey, I could have ordered for myself.” Ginny punches Stephen in the arm.
Stephen just smiles. Ginny’s punch felt like a light slap against his arm.
“I know, but I thought you should try a new dish.” Stephen just picks his drink up and takes a sip of it.
Ginny just sits still and listen to the other pack members. She takes a few chips and dips them in the chili sauce and the other dip sauce that the waitresses had set the table with, while they waited for their meals to arrive. Conversions were going on all around Ginny as she concentrated to keep them out. She puts her hands to her ears to try and muffle the sounds some.
Stephen notices Ginny covering her ears. He leans over to her to whisper to her.
“Concentrate on something that makes you happy and use that to block out everyone.” He grabs her hand and holds onto it.
Ginny closes her eyes and does what Stephen suggested to her. It was slowly allowing her to block a lot of the conversations going on around her. Her mouth starts watering from the scent of all the food cooking and being brought to the table. When the waitresses start bringing the plates to the table, she couldn’t believe how big the portions were. They were huge for a restaurant serving.
“Are the portions always this big for this restaurant?” Ginny was directing her question at Leonard.
“It’s only this big for our group Ginny. The chief knows were wolves and we require a lot of food. That’s why if you ever come up here to eat by yourself or with your assigned body guards. Just tell the waitress or whoever takes your order to supersize it and the cook will know it’s for one of us.” Leonard lifts a mixture of refried beans and rice to his mouth.
Ginny looks at her plate “I hope I’ll be able to eat all this.”
“Trust me pup, you’ll pack it away like the rest of us. You’re too skinny as is.” Stephen takes a bite of his own lunch.
Ginny lifts the taco that Stephen had ordered for her and could tell it was going to be spicy hot, because she could smell the chili peppers in it.
The taco was extremely hot as she bites into it. She nearly chokes on the spicy meat.
“Water” as Ginny reaches for her ice tea to cool down her mouth. She grabs it and swallows half her glass of tea.
Stephen looks at Ginny with a Cheshire smile on his face “what’s wrong pup? Is the food too hot for you?”
“Are you trying to kill me?” Ginny punches Stephen hard ordering an extremely hot dish for her.
“Ouch! That hurt this time.” Stephen rubs the spot on his shoulder where Ginny punched him.
“You deserved it for not telling me that these tacos were made with extremely hot chili peppers.” Ginny could still feel the heat in her mouth.
“What’s wrong pup? Don’t you like habanero’s in your taco?” Joe and Charley were both looking at Ginny.
“No, but I guess I can finish them off.” Ginny takes another bite and another sip of her tea.
Bryan just smiles and orders some milk instead of tea for Ginny to drink to soothe her mouth with instead.
By the time Ginny finishes her six tacos’. Her mouth and throat was still burning, even after drinking the milk. The refried beans and cheese
covered rice was helping some. Bryan orders her a Were-wolf sized Mexican fried ice cream. By the time she finishes that off, she munches on the chips that were left and watched as the other members finish their lunch. Her belly was feeling full for the first time since she had been changed.
“I’m going to have to come over here for lunch for now on.”
“So, you liked your habanero taco’s?”
“Yes and no. The tacos themselves were good, but I could had done without the habanero’s.”
She punches Stephen in his arm as hard as she could.
“OW! That hurt.”
He rubs the spot where she hit him.
“Good, you deserved it.”
After lunch, the pack goes to the movies and shopping.
“I’m going for a run Stephen.” Ginny starts her change and with-in a few seconds she has changed into her coywolf form.
Stephen runs downstairs in his human form totally nude and notices a coywolf standing near the door.
“Wow, you do shift fast. I couldn’t believe it when Bryan and they told me how fast your shift was. It’s going to take me a few minutes to change, Ginny.” Stephen stops and starts his change.
Ginny sits down and waits for Stephen to change. She couldn’t believe how slow his change was or how painful it looked. Hers was painful, but it was faster and the pain went away as soon as she finishes. Ginny wanted to burn off the food she had eaten at the restaurant. Once
Stephen is finish with his change, Ginny opens the door with a little bit of her mental abilities she discovered. Once the door is open, she heads out first followed by Stephen right on her heels.
The two of them run for a while away from Bryan’s house. Ginny loved the feel of running in her coywolf form. It excited her and the feel of the wind as it rushes by her ears and head. She dodges a few of Stephens’s playful nips. They run about twenty minutes away from the pack house. Bryan told her that the maximum distance she could go was up to twenty minutes away from the house. It was for her safety and the safety of the other pack members with her. She finds a nice boulder to perch on to look around her new domain. Stephen hops up on her rock and the two of them get into a playful battle of who is king of the hill.
Ginny never thought she would enjoy being what she was, but as she got to know her new side better. She was coming to enjoy it. She was a little disappointed as she gets knocked down off the boulder she and Stephen had been playing on. Ginny just looks back up at him before turning and start running back towards the house.
Stephen just grins as he jumps down off the boulder he had pushed Ginny off and chase after her as she ran back towards the house. He nips at her rear end to let her know he was close behind her.
Ginny pushes herself more to get away from Stephen’s teeth. She spots the house and pushes some more to beat Stephen to the house. She glances to her right-hand side and spot him running next to her. Ginny puts everything she has into it and reaches the house before Stephen.
She bets him to the door and then runs around the house towards the pool. She heard Stephen run right into the front door. She smirks as she jumps into the pool in her Coywolf form. The cold water felt nice against her coat.
Stephen comes running around the house and notices Ginny in the pool in her Coywolf form. She was treading water to stay afloat. He runs towards the pool and jumps in, right in front of her.
Ginny couldn’t get out of the way as a waves Stephen caused drops right on top of her. She makes her way over to the swallow end and looks at him. She was going to get even with him. She gets out of the pool and runs towards the edge where he is and jumps right in front of him like he did her.
Stephen tried to get out of the way, but Ginny was to fast and she got him with a wave of her own. The deck around the pool was soak from the two of them bombing each other. He tries to nip her, but she had moved. They play in the pool for a while and after an hour. Both fo them get out of the pool and change back into their form. Stephen was amazed at how fast Ginny changed back into her human form. He changes after watching her.
Ginny goes inside the house and comes back out with towels for the two of them and lay them on the lounger. She’s felt comfortable being nude around Stephen. She didn’t have the right plumbing for his taste. She lays down on the lounger on her stomach to get some sun on her back. She knew everyone else won’t be home for a while. She slowly falls into a deep sleep.
Stephen heard Ginny snoring and just grin. He should record her and play it back. He gets up and picks her up and carries her up to her room.
He lays her down on her bed.
He spots a picture frame sitting on the night table next to her bed. It had a picture of her mother and her when she was little at a county fair.
The two of them looked so happy. He wonders why her mother ran off and left her on her own to survive? He looks down at Ginny and knew that none of the pack members were ever going to do that to her. All the older wolves like himself have become protected of her.
“Sleep tight little puppy.”
Stephen walks out of her room and downstairs. He catches the Bryan scent and Leonard’s.
“Is she upstairs asleep?”
“Yep, she’s sound asleep. Your guess was right about how fast she changes. It uses a lot of her energy to change forms as fast as she does.
Especially, after burning a lot of energy to beat me in a foot race and swimming in our animal forms”
“So, we need to build up her endurance and energy levels?”
“Yep. I think we could either do it or send her to Daigh’s pack and let him and Sparrow train her. Their pack is known for turning out the best
warriors along with the Hipamika clan.”
“I hate to do this, but you might be right. Leonard, contact Daigh and ask if he will be willing to train Ginny.”
“I’m on it.”
Leonard pulls out his cell phone and dials Daigh’s number.
Bryan looks over towards Stephen “I need for you to make copies of all the information we have so far about that serum that made Ginny and send it to Cain. His niece was attacked by some creatures that had been turned. I’m going to need you to deliver that information yourself.”
“Cool, road trip. Maybe David will be there when I arrived. It’s been a while since I saw him.”
“You’re flying in. Tom is going to fly you to Montana.”
“Cool, I love flying with Tom. He’s crazier then George.”
Bryan just shakes his head.
Leonard had left the living room to talk with Daigh. After a few minutes, he comes walking back in.
“He says no problem, but now isn’t a good time for her to come. He’s helping his wife with a problem. He said he’ll call us once the problem
has been taken care of.”
“Does he need our help?”
“Not right now. He’s got that crazy Greek Demi-Goddess helping him and her sister.”
“I didn’t know Titanis had a sister. The last time I ran into her, she was an only child. I knew she was married, but I didn’t know she had a
sister.”
“I hope her sister isn’t as crazy as her.”
“Who knows. Alright, I’ll get Shawn to increase her training routine.”
Bryan knew Shawn and Ginny had been getting along well during her training. He’ll get Shawn to increase her endurance training. Best way for her to do that, would be for her to spend time in the pool swimming laps.
Stephen heads down to their storage room where they were keeping all the files. It was once a mine that dated back to the late 1880’s, that had been abandon. Bryan had turned it into a huge storage room with several computers that weren’t connected to the house network. They were used strictly for input information into the file servers.
Stephen takes a thumb drive and transfer the information onto it, along with the chemical breakdown they did to the sample of the serum they got their hands on. He transfers a sample of the serum into another test tube for Cain to compare it to what he has.
Once Stephen is done, he heads up to his room and start packing an overnight bag to take with him. He knew Bryan didn’t like mailing information as sensitive of the nature they had. Once his overnight was packed. He checks on Ginny to see if she was still asleep. She had changed her position from where he had laid her down. She was holding her big bunny rabbit against her body. He backs out of her room quietly and head downstairs to wait for Tom to arrive.
Ginny was so bored as she sat in the office at work and watched the men out in the yard work on a car that they were putting together. Her partner in crime had the radio on and they were listening to some hip-hop crap that she hated. Most music genres didn’t bother her, but whoever this artist was that the station was playing, needed to learn some manners about calling women hoes. She had found a rubik's cube
in one of the cars and was playing with it.
Frank couldn’t believe that Bruce had gone to work for Napa. Barney was a cool guy to work for and never asked that much from you. He looks over towards Ginny and notice her playing with a rubik’s cube.
“Having any luck?”
“Not really, all I have been able to do so far is get one side.” Ginny was at least trying to get two sides before she was picked up by Leonard.
Leonard and the other pack members were picking her up and dropping her off at work every day now. When she wasn’t working, she was exercising to build up her endurance and energy levels. Joe had come up with an exercise routine for her. She knew Stephen was disappointed that he wasn’t going to Montana. Bryan decided to go himself and have a meeting with a guy named Cain while he was out there.
At lunch time, she places her order with a place that delivers. She knew Frank was going to have his usual, which was a huge steak burger with the works. She orders from the same place two huge steak subs with extra onions and a huge order of onion rings. She has been following Bryan’s advice and been increasing her food intake.
Ginny was standing outside the junkyard office waiting on Leonard to pick her up. The rest of the day had gone by slowly and she finally was able to get two sides of the cube a solid color. As she is standing and waiting for Leonard, a strange car drives by the junkyard. It was more like a hearse. It had dark tinted windows and was being driven by a young woman. She was dress like a chauffeur from what Ginny could see.
She watches it as it drove by her location.
Leonard pulls up a few minutes later.
“How was your day?” As he watches Ginny get into the car.
“Boring. We barely had any customers today. All though something strange did happen while I was waiting for you. A silver hearse drove by me.”
Ginny had a curious look on her face.
“Did you say a silver hearse? Did it have like chrome stars near the front and was being driven by a young woman?”
“Mmmm!!, I didn’t notice any stars, but it was being driven by a young woman. Is it someone special?”
“Yep, it’s the vampire Master of Los Vegas. Whenever he has a meeting, he comes here to Kingman, Az. Since we are a neutral territory.”
Leonard wonders if he has already spoken to Bryan about this?
Ginny just watches the terrain as Leonard drives her back to Bryan’s house. She knew he was out of town and wouldn’t be back till tomorrow. When they pull up to the mansion and parks. She gets out and heads upstairs to her bedroom to change out of her work clothes and into her new swimsuit. Bryan had found one that didn’t resemble a little girl’s swimsuit.
“I’m going for a swim Leonard.” As Ginny heads, out to the pool and dives in.
She does a few laps and then get her float and just float around the pool.
“You look relax.” Stephen was still disappointed he didn’t get a chance to go to Montana.
“Yep, today was boring at work. Ever since Barney took me out of the yard, I’ve been bored. I enjoyed pulling parts and joking around with the guys outside.”
“He is just being cautious about you Ginny. He isn’t a Were, but he looks at you as if you were his daughter.” Stephen walks over and jumps into the pool.
“I know, I just hate being treated like a child.” Ginny splashes some water towards Stephen.
“Everyone can’t help it, Ginny. Everyone sees you as a child because of your looks. You look more childlike, then you do as a young woman.”
Stephen even saw Ginny as a child, instead of a grown woman or teenager.
“So, it’s my looks that cause everyone to treat me like a child?” Ginny wonders if there was a way to change how she looked.
She spends a few hours just drifting around out in the pool. Leonard was going to cook steaks on the grill. She closes her eyes and just let herself nap a little. Stephen decided not to tip Ginny over and let her relax for a while.
Later in the evening Stephen’s nose was telling him that Leonard was cooking food on the grill. He gets out of the pool and walk around to the other side where the porch was and notices that Leonard and Joe were cooking on the grill.
Leonard had looked up from the vegetables he was cooking and notices Stephen looking towards him and Joe.
“Where’s Ginny?”
“She’s sleeping on the float in the pool.” A smile appears on his face.
“Alright, wake her up in thirty minutes.”
“Okay.” Stephen rubs his hands together in an evil way.
Ginny is awoken abruptly when Stephen tilted her float and sent her into the water. She looks at him with anger in her eyes and start chasing him around the pool. She manages to finally catch him and dunk his sorry ass.
“Alright you two, it’s time for dinner.” Leonard had watch their antics like a patient father watching his children.
Ginny gets out first, after pulling Stephen back into the water. She dries off and wrap her towel around her waist as she walks over towards the
patio portion of the deck. She sits down next to Leonard and start serving herself.
“Master Banister is coming by tomorrow night to speak with Bryan, Ginny. As soon as you get home from work tomorrow. I’m going to need for
you to wear the clothes we put out for you Ginny. Also, you’re to stay by Bryan’s or my side the whole entire time Master Banister is here.”
Leonard didn’t want anything to happen to Ginny.
“Okay, is there a reason I need to stay by you or Bryan?” Ginny was curious about this.
“Because he has a thing for children. The last child he turned, was found and killed by the council and he was told if he makes any more. That his head would be cut off by Riker. I expect them to be here tomorrow as well.”
“Who’s Riker?” Ginny hadn’t heard his name before.
“He is the leader of the Dark Fangs. They are a traveling motorcycle vampire gang and operate as troubleshooters for the council. They are supposed to enforce vampire law and administer punishment to any vampire leader that doesn’t follow the law. Since, I figure this meeting is a treaty negotiations between a Were group and the Vampire Master of Las Vegas. Riker needs to be here. Our job is to keep the peace while the negotiations are going on. So, tomorrow night is a get to know you meeting. The Were group involve should be here tomorrow morning.” Leonard takes a bite of his steak.
“Do we know anything about them?” Ginny was curious about this group.
“They are a fairly new group and certain members of their clan are Native Americans. They only have fifty members so far, but several other
Were’s from other parts of the country have petition them for membership.” Leonard had read the report Bryan sent him about the negotiations.
Bryan also told him that the vampires and Riker’s group was supposed to stay at the Night Wind hotel. The vampires could drink from the donors that work there or from their own stock, but no one else. Also, the stored blood they had on hand was fresh.
“So, are we allowing the vampires into our home here?” Ginny had read some stories about vampires need permission to enter.
“No, they won’t be sitting foot in here. We have a separate building where we will be having the meet and greet at. No vampire can enter here without Bryan’s permission.”
“Good, I was hoping you were going to say that.” Ginny was a little worried about that part.
‘Trust me Ginny, Bryan doesn’t want any vampires in the pack house. This is supposed to be a haven for everyone in the pack.”
“Thank goodness.” Ginny finishes her steak and help clean the dishes.
It was Stephen’s turn to do the dishes, but he always helps her. So, she felt she should return the favor. After the kitchen and dishes were done. She joins everyone in the living room to watch a movie. She’s fallen asleep a few times watching movies with them and woken-up in her bed in the morning.
After the movie is done, she heads to bed so she can get up early and head to work.
Ginny couldn’t believe the dress she had on for tonight’s get together. It hugs her body like a glove. It showed off all her curves and her breast. Everyone had noticed lately that every time she switched forms, her body would fill out more. Leonard had showed her a picture of when she first came to the pack house, to what she currently looked like now. Her hips had widened some giving her an a more pronounce hour glass figure. Her face had softened and changed some, so she looked more attractive. Her breast has gotten bigger. She noticed that they had gone up a full cup size. Her hair had grown longer and fuller.
“Why can’t I wear a pair of panties under this dress, Stephen?” She felt naked underneath the dress. Stephen had told her she couldn’t wear any undergarments or perfume at all.
“Because, your scent needs to be pure tonight. You’re going to be the only female at the gathering tonight. Which means to keep the peace tonight. The men there need, including the vampires to be able to smell your scent. For some strange reason, your scent relaxes the beast inside of us.” Stephen double checks her looks and the light make-up she was permitted to wear.
"I thought you swung the other way?” Ginny didn’t know if she misunderstood what Stephen said.
“I do like lollipops more than fish. However, my wolf seems to calm down when you are around and it’s all because of your scent.” Stephen fluff’s Ginny’s hair one last time.
Ginny takes one more look in the mirror. The few times she dressed up to try to impress someone. She looked like a little girl wearing her mother’s clothes. Now she looked like a knockout. She looked better than her mother ever did.
“Alright, stop primping in front of the mirror. We need to meet the others over at the meeting hall. Remember, you need to stay near me, Leonard or Bryan tonight. You should stay near Bryan most of the night. It makes the alpha look better with a pretty girl hanging on his arm.”
“That’s sexist. Why should I play the part of eye candy?” Ginny knew several that would, but she wasn’t one of them.
“Because, that’s what other alpha’s and vampire leaders look for. You need to remember Ginny. You are a very rare person among the pack.
Women normally don’t survive the turn. Those that do are valued for more than one reason.” Stephen watches as Ginny puts on the three-inch heel court shoes that Bryan bought to go with the dress for Ginny.
“Let me guess. If they survive the turn, then that means they can breed?” Ginny looks at Stephen for an answer.
“Yep. It’s easier for a Were couple to have children., Than it is for a normal person and a Were to have children.” Stephen knew a lot of couples that have problems having children that had normal mates.
“Well, you look gorgeous. Let’s go and met up with the boss man.” Stephen escorts Ginny downstairs and out to his car.
Ginny noticed that he drove his white and black 1967 Pontiac GTO tonight. He walks over and open the passenger side door for her.
“Your chariot is awaiting, my lady.” He holds the door open as she slides in.
“Thank you, kind sir.” Ginny carefully sits down and swing her feet in. She was still getting use to the slits on both sides of the dress.
Once Ginny was safely inside the car and settle. He closes the car door and makes his way around to the driver side. He gets in and start the car up. Ginny notices that even though he had a radio that looked to be factory, it wasn’t. It was an aftermarket that had been designed with modern technology.
“Cool!” Ginny turns the radio up as they drive down the highway.
As they are driving “I forgot to tell you, that there will be blood prostitutes there tonight. Don’t freak if you see a vampire takes a sip from them.
Technically, they are supposed to be discreet about drinking from them, but some don’t follow the rules. Riker and his crew follow the rules, so your safe with them.”
“That’s good to know.” Ginny had never heard of blood prostitutes before.
It only took them forty minutes to come to an old fashion western saloon. The parking lot was full of cars from out of state. There were three limos parked near each other. One was the silver one that Ginny saw earlier with two black stretched Hummer’s parked nearby. Stephen parks the GTO over near Bryan’s and Leonard’s car.
“Ginny, don’t come out here alone without one of us by your side.” Stephen had turned around in his seat to look at Ginny. He had a serious look on his face.
This was the first time Ginny had ever seen Stephen serious.
“Okay, I do have one question Stephen. Why does our meeting hall look like an old fashion western saloon?” Ginny was staring at the saloon.
“Our former alpha was from that time frame and built this saloon from parts of other saloons that are rotting away. You should see the Hotel that he fashioned after the one from the movie Tombstone.” Stephen gets out and walks around to open Ginny’s door. Tonight, he had to act like the proper Gentleman around the women working tonight.
Stephen escorts Ginny towards the saloon swing doors. Beautiful music and lovely singing could be heard drafting from inside. The song being sung sounded like something you would hear an in old saloon of the day.
Ginny couldn’t believe how the inside looked. It was like something from an old west movie. The waitresses were wearing the old fashion clothing of the period. The bartender looked the part as well. The rest of the people in the bar were dressed in clothing that could pass as being from that time frame. Even her dress was possible for the period, but was a little more modern.
The place was busy as people mingle with each other. Stephen escorts Ginny over to where Bryan was dress as an old Southern Gentleman.
A lot of the men were wearing the same type of clothing for the period. As she got closer to Bryan, the men in the room turned their heads to look at her. There were a few other women around, but Ginny guess that they must be escorts or normal humans that were friends of the visiting Were.
When Ginny and Stephen approach Bryan and the other men near him “gentlemen, let me introduce you to two members of my pack. This is Stephen Miles and this beautiful young lady is Ginny Tailor. She’s the newest member of my pack.”
Ginny shakes hands with all the men standing near Bryan. She could tell these men were all wolves. The main thing that caught her attention was the tall muscular guy. He was well built and stood a few inches taller than Bryan. He had a few scars that meant he was in a lot of challenge matches. A drink is handed to her and she drinks it. It was sweet and enjoyable.
Another drink is given to her, as her empty glass is taken away. She stays close to Bryan and make general chit-chat with the men from the new pack. Bryan escort Ginny over and introduce her to the leader of the vampire clan. As soon as Ginny touched the leaders hand, she could feel that he was older than any one that she had meet so far. That included all the Were’s she knew.
Victor smiled as he kisses the top of Ginny’s hand. He could tell just from touching her hand, that she was unique. She didn’t smell or feel like a Were-wolf, but something entirely different.
“It’s so nice to meet you Miss. Tailor.” He stands back up and look into her eyes. He tests her mental defenses to see if she could be managed.
A little growl escapes from her mouth as her eyes flash gold. His head jerks back when he feels his mental abilities thrown back at him. It was stronger than he had used against her.
“I suggest Victor Sokolov that you do not try that with me again or you might regret what my beast will do to you.” A low growl left Ginny’s mouth.
“Are you causing problems, Victor?” Riker had been standing nearby when he heard the growl and felt power he hadn’t felt before.
Victor had been surprised at what happened. She shouldn’t had been able to feel his power, unless she was an alpha herself or was sensitive to magic.
“Of course not, Riker. I was just introducing myself to the young lady.” Victor looks at Riker showing no emotions.
Riker just looks at him “remember you are a guest here in this territory. It may be neutral, but rules and manners will be followed.”
He turns and walk away. When Victor turns to talk with Ginny, she was walking away from him as well.
Ginny had left while Riker and Victor spoke. She walks back over where Bryan was standing, as a drink is placed in her hand by one of the waitresses.
“Thank you.” She takes a sip of it and was sweet like the first two she had earlier.
She walks back over and rejoin the men from her pack, while enjoying the drink. The meet and greet continue till late at night. By the time she leaves with Stephen, she had drunk at least twelve of those fruity drinks and she was drunk. Bryan had to carry her out to Stephens car and instructed him to take her home and put her to bed.
Stephen just shakes his head as he watches Ginny doze off as they drive back to the house. When they arrive back, he carefully scoops her up out of the passenger seat and carry her up to her bedroom. He undresses her carefully and slip her favorite night shirt on her.
“I don’t know what you have been drinking tonight, but you have no tolerances for whatever it is.” He kisses her forehead and tucks her in.
Stephen closes her bedroom door and head towards his room.
Ginny comes downstairs in the morning with a pounding headache. She had the day off from work as she stumbles into the kitchen. All the guys were gathered around the kitchen table having breakfast. Stephen looks at Ginny as she sat down. He puts a small plate of aspirin in front of her and a glass of water.
“Take them for your headache.”
“Thank you.” Ginny reaches forward and takes the pills and pop them in her mouth. She follows up with the water to wash them down.
“So, what happened between you and Victor last night?” Leonard was curious, because he had seen her, Victor and Riker talking.
“Victor tried influencing me with his vampiric abilities and my Coywolf didn’t like it. She sent it back at him stronger then what he used. Riker was standing nearby and felt it when I sent Victor’s power back at him.” Ginny knew it was her Coywolf that felt Victor’s power and didn’t like it.
Ginny builds a sausage and egg biscuit and bites into it. Once she starts eating, she couldn’t stop herself. She makes three more sausage and egg biscuits.
Bryan just watches as Ginny stuffed her face. He just smiles.
“Victor doesn’t like playing by the rules.” Leonard knew him from a few encounters he had with him in the past.
“I think if he doesn’t behave himself, Riker is going to take him out. You should had seen the look Riker gave him.” Ginny had a triple decker sausage biscuit in her hand.
“That’s Riker’s job to enforce protocol and rules. Since our area is consider neutral territory, he has no choice.” Stephen looks over at Ginny as she tries to eat her triple decker biscuit.
“Why is our area consider neutral territory?” Ginny bites into her biscuit and juices run down her chin.
“It goes back to when the Mafia ruled Las Vegas. Before any Mafia families could come to Las Vegas to setup shop or operate there. They had to met with the boss of the city. So, an area was set aside that was agreed upon to act as a neutral meeting spot. Since, most of us are from that era. We decided to keep the tradition alive in the supernatural community. Even the Mafia still use this area as a meeting place. An Alpha was chosen to select who he wanted to act as his enforcers to enforce neutral meeting rules everyone agreed upon.” Bryan hopes his explanation was understandable.
“Does Mafia know there are supernaturals here?”
“Yes, they know we are here and sometimes we make sure they live by the laws they set down when the town was first started.” Leonard
remembered breaking up a fight between two rival families.
They were surprised he was a Were-wolf. Since then, any Mafia family coming to do business or meet in the town. Always checks with Bryan, so no misunderstandings don’t occur.
“Okay, so, what is next on our agenda with the meeting?” Ginny takes a sip from her orange.
juice.
“Well, last night was just a get together. The next meeting will be a sit down with each group. We’ll have a sit down and see what each group is bring to the table and what they want in return.” Leonard knew he was going to be handling that part.
After breakfast, Bryan suggested a run to help clear everyone’s head and to burn off some energy. Ginny and Stephen were chasing each other like little kids, while the other wolves watched them.
Ginny runs faster as Stephen tries to nip her on her rear end. She jumps over a crop of rocks and climb a large boulder and look down at everyone. She sits down and grin at all the wolves. They just look at her as she watches over them from her high perch. She watches Stephen as he tries to find a path up to her perch. She was slimmed and small footed, where he wasn’t. He couldn’t follow her path.
After a few minutes he gives up and Ginny comes down to join him and the others. Bryan runs them around the boundary of their territory. They check out a few other areas and then head back towards the pack house to get ready for tonight’s meeting.
Bryan gives Ginny a new dress to wear and makes Stephen makes sure she is ready for tonight. That meant no undergarments or perfume. Just natural body odor.
“Stephen, I feel naked with no panties on.” The dress felt nice against her skin.
“You still feel weird not wearing any clothes?” Stephen looked at Ginny.
“Well, not around you guys. I’ve gotten use to seeing all of you in the nude now, but I have never gone without wearing my panties before. Even the bar where I worked part-time I wore panties.” Ginny still felt kind of weird being out and about being nude around people, but she trusted this pack.
“Don’t worry about it Ginny. As much as the guys like looking at you naked, they won’t do anything. As far as we know, you aren’t any one’s mate here in the pack. The second reason is, all the men here see you as their little sister. So, they are very protective of you. The last reason is, we all know who our mates are. There is no casual sex between members. We’re driven to only mate with our mates.”
“Well, that is all nice and good to know about.” Ginny fixes her hair and walks downstairs.
“I’m ready. Stephen’s upstairs putting on his dress.” Ginny walks over and stands next to Bryan, who had changed into something more suited to his status.
“I am not wearing a dress.” Stephen comes walking down looking like a gentleman from the old west.
“But I wanted to see you in a dress, Stephen.” Ginny had a mischievous smile on her face.
“Maybe one day, I’ll put one on for you. However, not tonight. I have to dress like a normal gentleman.”
“Alright, let’s go and get everything setup. Ginny, same rules as last night. Stay close to either Bryan or Leonard. Don’t walk off without one of us or Stephen knowing.” Bryan didn’t want to see anything happen to Ginny.
“Yes sir.” Ginny follows behind Bryan as he heads towards the Mercedes-Benz he was driving over towards the meeting place.
Ginny wakes up and finds herself laying on top of Stephen’s chest. She was surrounded by Bryan on one side of her and Leonard on the other side. All of them were nude. Her head was pounding like someone was using a jack hammer inside her skull and she felt sick to her stomach.
She was nested between the three men, so she couldn’t get up without waking one of them. She tries to squirm free from the three men. She was ready to throw-up.
Leonard wakes-up when he feels Ginny squirming around to get free. He moves aside to let her get up. He wonders how she was feeling this morning. Him and Bryan strange Ginny was reacting at the meeting last night. It happened a few minutes after drinks were passed out. She had taken a sip of her drink and the next thing they knew, she was burning up and barely able to stand.
Ginny feels Leonard release his grip on her waist as she tries to stand up. Her legs didn’t want to respond to her like they normally would.
Once she was able to stand, she felt wobblily as she tries to make it to the bathroom before her stomach heaved up everything she had inside. She made it just in time as her stomach wouldn’t be stopped any more. Everything she had eaten yesterday comes up and into the toilet.
Leonard had followed Ginny into the bathroom and held her hair back as she emptied her stomach contents into the toilet bowl. Leonard notices that there was some blood in the toilet that Ginny had thrown up. He sends his power into Ginny’s body as she kept vomiting and discovered someone had given her fresh vampire blood. Her body was reacting to it.
“Ginny, what was the last thing you drunk or ate?” Leonard still had hair in his hands.
“The last thing I drunk was a soda one of the waiters gave me, while I was sitting next to you and Bryan.” Ginny looks up at Leonard.
She was a little paler then normally was. Her stomach and throat hurt from the stomach acid. Plus, how many times her stomach cramped up while she was emptying her stomach. She slowly stands up off the floor using Leonard for support.
“Come on, let’s get something easy into your stomach.” Leonard escorts Ginny into the kitchen and over to a spare stool.
“Sit.”
Ginny does as he says. The cold fake leather felt weird against her bare butt. She watches as Leonard gets her a glass and filled it with some Ginger Ale.
“Here, drink this. It should be easy on your stomach.” Leonard hands the glass to Ginny.
She accepts it and takes a sip of it. She let it slide down her throat and into her stomach. She takes another sip and her stomach doesn’t react negatively to the ginger ale.
Leonard grabs some saltine crackers from the cabinet and hand them to her.
“Here, eat these.” Leonard sets the crackers down in front of Ginny.
“Thanks.” Ginny picks one up and takes a bite of it. After a few crackers, her stomach settles down.
Between the ginger ale and the crackers, her stomach felt better. She couldn’t believe how sick she had gotten from vampire blood being added to her drink.
“Leonard, do all Were creatures react to vampire blood like I did?” Ginny was looks ing at Leonard.
“Actually, you’re the first to react to fresh vampire blood like you did. Normally, the blood would make a link between you and the vampire who gave it to you. It also, gives you a boost to your reaction and such. It would seem your nature makes you immune to fresh vampire blood.” This was the first time he had seen this.
Ginny takes another sip of her ginger ale “okay, can you explain why I was surrounded by you, Bryan and Stephen?”
“Easy, it’s a pack thing and we were making sure you were alright. You started to shake like you were going to have a seizure. The next thing we knew, you were on the floor flopping around like a fish out of water. Bryan managed to stabilize and knock you out. We brought you back here to the pack house and piled around you. Letting our unique energies, heal or stabilize your body.” Bryan could tell from looking at Ginny she didn’t have anything making her sick, in her system any more.
He had gotten up after Leonard and Ginny had came out of the bathroom. He waited nearby so Leonard could talk with Ginny. Just when she asked the question about three naked men surrounding her, made it the perfect time to walk in and explain everything.
Ginny looks at Bryan and felt like a child around him. She almost wanted to say daddy at times. In since, that was what he was to everyone in the pack. He was responsible for making sure all the pack members were taken care of and safe. The thing that bothered her the most was, who put vampire blood in her coca cola last night? The only people that were there, were the visiting Alpha and his second from the new pack and the vampires near their area. The Alpha wanted to change some of the boundaries to expand the pack land, but a few of those boundaries cross or went into vampire territory.
That was why they were holding the talks here. The Kingsman territory was neutral grounds. Which meant, the two parties involve weren’t allowed to cause trouble or kill each other. She finishes her ginger ale and just look at Bryan and Leonard.
Leonard was fixing himself a coffee and Bryan was pulling out a couple of pounds of bacon out of the refrigerator to cook up. He knew a few of the members might be dropping by.
Ginny gets up and grab a few boxes of muffin mixes from the cabinets. She grabs all the ingredients and a large mixing bowl to mix the ingredients. She gets a few muffin pans and spray them, so the muffins don’t stick. She walks over to the stove and set the oven for the proper temperature. She pours the batter into the muffin tins and set them in the oven.
“You better make a large batch of them.” Leonard knew how many a standard Were could eat.
“I’m making eight boxes of mix. That should be enough for everyone.” Ginny tosses all but seven of the boxes out.
She follows the directions and times them by eight to get everything right. Once the mixture is made, she starts scooping them into the muffin tins and put them in the oven to cook.
“I hope I made them right.” Ginny looks toward Bryan and Leonard.
“You better hope so squirt or the guys are going to tease you.” Bryan glances towards Ginny while cooking the bacon.
Ginny snags a few pieces to munch on while she waits for the muffins to cook. While she sits and waits for the muffins and enjoying her bacon.
“Who do you think put the blood in my soda without me smelling it or noticing it?” Ginny looks at the guys?
“Don’t know, but you’ll need to be a little bit more careful tonight. We are meeting everyone around 6:00pm tonight.”
“Great, just great.”
Ginny looks over at the timer and notices she still had a few more minutes. She couldn’t believe she was still in her birthday suit around two
older men. She saw that they were aroused at all being around her.
“Can I ask a personal question?” As Ginny looks towards Bryan.
“Let me guess, the question you have is why aren’t we aroused with you being in here nude as well?”
Ginny blushes because that was her question.
“Because you aren’t our mate and because we are used to being around young girls and women. Normally, the best way to break a new
person in, is too take them to a nudist colony, but with you everything would be different. You might meet your mate there.” Bryan didn’t think Ginny’s mate was in any of the established packs yet.
“Well, I’m happy being single.” The timer lets Ginny know the muffins were ready.
She takes them out and set them to cool. She steals a few more pieces of bacon and goes to wake Stephen up and the rest of the guys in the house.
Ginny shape shifts into her coywolf form after breakfast and go for a morning run. Stephen goes with her as she goes the permitted distance from the pack house. Her and Stephen chase after each other. Her stomach was feeling better after eating some bacon and muffins.
The two of them stay away from the pack house for a few hours, before they are summoned back by Bryan. He sent them a mental message to return to the house. Stephen of course must make a race of it. If she loses, she must do his chores at the pack house for two weeks. If she wins, he must take her shopping and to the movies.
By the time they reach the house, it was a tie. She had even stretch her neck out as far as she could to beat him.
“Maybe next time, small fry.” He sticks his tongue out at her and races inside the house.
She chases after him. She stops when Leonard steps in her path. She almost ran straight into him.
“What’s up Leonard?” She had to tilt her head back some to look at him.
“Bryan wants to see you.”
“Okay.” She turns around to head towards his office.
Ginny knocks before she enters. There’s only been two times when she forgot to knock on his door and he gave her the riot act.
“Enter!”
Ginny walks into his office and over to his desk after shutting the door behind her.
“You wanted to see me, Bryan?” Ginny sits down in front of Bryan’s desk.
“Yes, how are you feeling?” Bryan knew she went for a run with Stephen and ate about a pound of bacon and several muffins.
“I’m feeling better. Why do you think he put his blood in my drink?” Ginny has been thinking about what happened.
“Because you're unique and new. He could use you against me to steer the negotiation towards what he wants. I’m having a special person
come in to make sure he doesn’t do it again.” Bryan placed a call to a friend of his.
“Can I get a hint on who this special person is?” Ginny was curious.
“Mmmm, nope. It’s better if you don’t know.” Bryan hopes she will answer his request.
“You’re no fun.” Ginny tries pouting on Bryan.
“Won’t work, kiddo.” Bryan just grins at her.
“Damn. So, we are still going to have the meeting tonight?”
“Yes, so you need to go and start getting ready for tonight.” Bryan gets up and walks with Ginny to his office door.
Ginny gets up and walks next to him.
“Leonard has already laid out what you will be wearing tonight. The jewelry you will be wearing will be laying on the dress on your bed.” He
opens the door and watches as Ginny leaves.
Ginny runs upstairs to her bedroom. She finds her new clothes and all the appropriate undergarments she’ll need to wear, which wasn’t much. There was an oak box sitting on top of the dress. She heads into the bathroom, since she was already nude.
She gets the shower going the way she wants it. She uses the special soap, shampoo and conditioner that Bryan had gotten her. She wonders who the special guest was going to be tonight at the meeting?
She takes her shower, fixes her hair and gets dress in the dress that Bryan bought for her. When she goes downstairs, she is met by her escorts for the night. Which was Leonard and Stephen.
“I’m ready guys.” Ginny smiles at them.
Stephen let’s out a wolf whistle as they escort Ginny out to the car. Leonard opens the car door for Ginny. She slides in like she is supposed to.
Stephen slides in next to her.
Leonard drives them over to the saloon they have been meeting at. Stephen gets out and helps Ginny out next. The pack was inside waiting on them.
The next group to show up, is the visiting pack that asked for the negotiations. The leader of the pack wanted to know how Ginny was doing.
He was concerned about what happened to her yesterday.
The last group to show up, were the vampires. Riker and his group had shown-up with Victor and his vampires. Bryan and she welcomed to the saloon along with their willing blood donators. Everyone was escorted to a huge meeting room. Ginny escorts each person to their assigned seat and then a staff member comes in to take their refreshment orders. While they are all sitting and waiting for their drinks. A portal opens, and two young ladies and a huge cat come walking through. The portal closes behind them as Bryan stands up to announce who they are.
“Ladies and gentlemen, allow me to introduce Lady Titanis and her sister Theia. The large cat that is with them is their companion Leonidas.
They are here to make sure the rules are adhered to.” He looks towards Victor when he says that.
Titanis looks over towards Victor and an evil smile appears on her face.
“Victor, it has been a while since we have seen each other. How is Leiknir Hamundsson doing now a day?” Titanis recalls the last time her and Leiknir went at each other.
He thought he was better than her with a sword and challenged her. The fight lasted almost all night long, but in the end, she won. She gave him a nasty scar that went diagonally from his waist to his right eye. Because her sword was made by Hephaestus himself. It would always leave a scar. It neutralizes the magical healing of any supernatural creature.
“He’s doing better. He decided to stay in Europe, instead of coming to the New Country.” Victor hated Titanis because she had interfered in several of his plans.
Riker just smirks. He knew Titanis and heard rumors she had recently just gotten a younger sister. He looks at the young lady standing next to
Titanis. She had long amber hair and a vine that curled around her right leg with flowers, bumblebees and tiny birds flying towards the different
flowers sprouting from the vine. She was shorter than her older sister.
“Aren’t you going to introduce the young lady that came with you?” Riker wanted to know if his guess was right.
“Theia, this is Riker, his wife Jacklyn and his companion Jacob they are the council enforcers for the vampires.” Titanis didn’t care for vampires
that much, but Riker was one of the few she had any respect for.
Theia looks over at the three vampires that were dressed like bikers. She knew how her sister felt about vampires. She called them leeches and said never to trust them. That was why they left Shayla at home, instead of letting her come with them. Shayla had a bigger hatred of vampires than Titanis did.
Victor looks over towards Bryan and smirk. He knew with a Demi-goddess and Riker’s team. He better stop what he was doing to sabotage the talks.
“Now, shall we get to work on these negotiations?” Bryan had an evil smile on his face.
“Yes, let’s get these negotiations done.” The leaders start talking about what they wanted and what they were willing to give in return.
Titanis, Theia and Leonidas stood nearby watching and monitoring. They were making sure no magic, or anything was being used during the negotiations. Leonidas couldn’t be fooled. He could feel magic, even vampire magic.
Riker and his crew were making sure Victor behaved himself and didn’t try anything. They stood nearby and watched all the vampires. He wasn’t going to allow Victor to ruin these negotiations.
Ginny watches the clouds drift in the sky as she laid back on her lounger and enjoyed the peacefulness around her. She was working on her tan on the back deck. Stephen had to work today, so he wasn’t around to tease her. Bryan and Leonard had to go out of town. They were meeting up with a few other Alpha’s to discuss a problem that had come up during the negotiation of the new pack.
Sumner from the Himamika pack was visiting and since he was a close friend of Bryan’s. He was staying at the pack house as a guest. He comes walking out to the back deck to do a few laps in the pool and notices his friends newest pack member tanning in the nude. He ignores her and put his towel on the lounge chair next to hers.
Bryan had told him her name was Ginny Teanby and worked up at the local junkyard. She was also the only Coywolf around. She had been created by a virus created by a local vet trying to create a different type of Weres.
Ginny glances over towards Sumner as he dives into the pool and does a few laps. She knew he was a Were-Wolf from Kentucky and was second in charge of Himamika clan. She watches him for a while. She gets bored and goes back to watching the clouds in the sky.
Sumner had spotted Ginny watching him. He wonders if she was his mate, but when she turned to look up at the sky and his wolf hadn’t reacted. He knew she wasn’t. Still, he had never heard of a crossbred Were before. Especially, one artificially created.
He does a few more laps. Once he was done doing the laps he holds onto the side of the pool and looks up at Ginny.
“I heard you guys had to call in some heavy guns to keep one of the vampires in place. Who did Bryan call in?” He had heard rumors about the meeting.
Ginny looks over towards him “the enforcers for the vampires and two demi-goddesses. I think the older of the two wanted to kill Victor.”
“That must have been Titanis. She and her wife don’t care for vampires that much.” Sumner has met Titanis a few times. He also has met her wife as well.
“I don’t think the other woman with her, was her wife. I think Bryan said she was Titanis’s little sister.” She had talked with Theia for a little bit.
She found the woman interesting, especially what she could see of her tattoo’s. She could have sworn that the birds and bees on her skin had moved.
“I didn’t know she had a sister. That’s something new.” The last Sumner knew Titanis only had a wife.
“I don’t think she advertises that she has a sister. So, what is the Himamika pack like?” Ginny was curious about it.
“What do you want to know? How big we are?” Sumner didn’t mind sharing that information.
“We have over a hundred members that belong to our pack. We only have Wolves in our pack. The Chattan Pride takes all sorts of cats into their pride, but we only take wolves. Our Zupan might have made an exception for you, but normally we don’t allow non-Wolves to join us.”
“That’s kind of male chauvinist of your Zupan.” Just from hearing what Sumner said. She didn’t have a high opinion of him.
“That’s the rules in the Kentucky pack. Not even Ava could change the Zupan’s mind and she is married to his only daughter.” Sumner knew
Ava could bring the Zupan down if she wanted to. She was more powerful than both the Alphas in Kentucky.
“Who’s Ava?” Ginny hadn’t met her before.
“She’s the Zupan’s daughter-in-law and doesn’t like playing by the rules,” Sumner remembered the first time he met her. She had been shot all
to hell by the Hunter’s with cold iron bullets.
They had tracked her by the GPS in her cellphone while she was with her aunt on the way to the Zupan’s house and ambushed them. Cold
Iron bullets had been used against her because she Were abilities came from her Fey heritage, instead of her Were heritage. They almost succeed in killing her. If her aunt hadn’t stopped the bleeding till Brenda got there, she would have died.
“So, what type of Were is this Ava person? Is she a Wolf like her mate?” Ginny was curious.
“Nope, she’s a Were-Lynx, but she has a second form. She carries the spirit of a phobia. Which is of Celtic legend. Depending on what type of
mood she is in, she can be helpful or harmful to you. An ancient Celtic mage found out the hard way. What happened when you try to control her. She only listens to one person and that is her wife.” The Zupan only had a small influence on the spirit that dwelled inside of her.
“You mean she is a Werecat and carries another spirit inside of her? Is that possible?” Ginny didn’t know that was possible.
“Not for us normal Were’s. She’s different. Her family has intermarried with the Fey, Were-Wolves, and Werecats. In her family, you never know what the children are going to be. Just like you. If you marry a Were. You might give birth to whatever that Were is or what you are. It all depends on which set of genes are stronger or available.”
“So, if I marry a normal human, my child might be normal?”
“There’s a slim chance that might happen. I don’t know if you can make others like yourself like a normal Were-wolf, but there’s the possibility
that you could change your mate.” Sumner wonders why Bryan hadn’t covered this with Ginny.
“Well, I hope I don’t meet my mate. I like being single and learning about myself.” Ginny didn’t need any more complications in her life.
Sumner just smiles “you have time. Most Weres have a long life unless they get themselves killed.”
Sumner pushes off the side of the pool and float on his back. He leans back and stares up at the sky. He’s been around for the last hundred and fifty years. He was turned when he was turned during America civil war. A large wolf had attacked him and left him for dead.
“CANNONBALL!” Ginny jumps off the deck and into the middle of the pool.
She sends a huge wave towards Sumner when she hits the water. She resurfaces and gets hits by a wave from Sumner.
"Hey, no fair." Ginny splash back at him.
The two of them engage in a splashing contest and after a while they stop and drift around the pool.
Ginny was outside in the back of the junkyard checking with the guys about the parts she needed. She had a bunch of customers up front waiting for their parts and they were taking too long.
“Hey, you knuckleheads, what is taking you so long?” Ginny had gone out into the yard looking for the group of guys pulling parts for her.
“We need a forklift to get the car down.” Garry had called Frank to come over with a forklift to pull the car down.
“Alright.” Ginny pulls her walkie-talkie out of her back pocket “Frank, what is your twenty?”
“I’m on my way right now. I had to move another car for Ralph.” Frank was on his way towards Ginny and Garry’s location.
As he was heading towards their location, he clips a stack of cars. The stack starts falling towards Ginny and the people she was standing near. She pushes them out of the way as the stack falls on top of her. The whole entire stack landed on top of Ginny.
Ginny felt the heavy weight of the cars pressing on top of her. She was in so much pain. There was no way she could explain why she was still alive. How could she explain surviving the stack of cars falling on her?
“Hurry up, we got to get her out.”
Ginny looks around trying to see how she could explain being alive. She spots a few rats coming towards her. One of the rats come over to her and look at her. The other rats were examining how the cars had her pinned down.
“Don’t move Ginny, we’re working to get you out.” She heard the voice inside her head.
“What the?” Ginny had a confused look on her face.
“You didn’t think I didn’t know who or what you did you?” The rat was looking directly towards Ginny’s face.
“Who are you?” Ginny couldn’t figure out who it is.
“Don’t worry about who I am right now Ginny. Just relax and let us get you out of this mess.” The next thing Ginny sees is blackness. She feels her consciousness floating, but she can’t feel anything. No pain and sensory input at all. She drifts off to sleep.
Eight hours later, she wakes up and finds herself in her room back at Bryan’s house. Her whole entire body hurts. When she tries to move her arm, it hurts to move it. She could barely lift it at all.
Shawn had been asked to watch their mutt as she recovers from having several cars dropped onto her. If Barney and his mischief hadn’t found her and jump-started her Were-wolf healing ability. She might have died. They had to put her in a coma and let all her energies heal her broken crushed body.
Shawn walks in and notices their mutt trying to raise her arm. It’s been a while since he has been given any duty on her. Normally, Stephen was her babysitter.
“Easy, Ginny you are still recovering, and your energy is depleted. Your body is slowly healing normally right now. The coyote part of your nature is keeping you alive.”
Ginny turns her head to look at Shawn. Her eyes have bled from her normally, bright amber colors to white. That’s how Shawn and everyone knew the coyote aspect of her nature was forefront. Normally, her eyes stay bright amber in her hybrid form. However, Bryan and everything saw her eyes change to white. They even smelled her scent change.
“How long?” her throat was dry.
“Three days.” Shawn, Bryan, and Stephen have been looking over Ginny while her body healed.
Ginny was shocked that she has been unconscious for the past three days. The last thing she remembered, was the cars crashing down on top of her.
“How much longer before I can get up?”
“That depends on your body. You need to stay in bed until your energy levels are back. However, that isn’t going to happen unless you stay put in bed.” Shawn was told by Bryan to keep her in bed.
“Can I get something to drink, please?” Ginny was dying of thirst.
“I’ll go and get you something.” Shawn turns around and heads back out of Ginny’s bedroom.
A few minutes later, he returns with a nice cold glass of water for her.
“Here you go. One tall glass of ice water.” Shawn holds the glass enough for Ginny to drink through the straw.
Ginny takes several strong sips of the cold water. It felt nice going down her throat. She takes several more sips of water and lay back.
“Close your eyes and try to get some more sleep. Stephen will be up around dinner time to feed you.” Shawn places the water on her nightstand. She won’t be able to lift it in her condition without help.
“I’ll try.” Ginny closes her eyes and slips into a deep relaxing sleep.
Four hours later she wakes up and her stomach was growling loudly. She was hungry and could eat a horse right now. Her nose starts twitching because it was picking up food.
Stephen enters Ginny’s bedroom with a huge tray. He had a huge bowl of stew and several slices of garlic bread. He pulls a chair close to Ginny’s bed, so he can spoon feed her.
“Well, Well, well. How are you feeling?” Stephen could see that Ginny was hungry.
“Hungry…” There was a slight growl in her voice.
“Good, because I have a nice hearty bowl of buffalo stew here for you.” Stephen picks a spoon up and starts spoon-feeding Ginny.
Once the food hits Ginny’s mouth. She moans in pleasure as it slides down her throat. Her beast starts to feel better as Stephen kept feeding her. She was still having a hard time lifting her arms.
Stephen could see that if he let Ginny feed herself, she would be wolfing down her food.
“Here, eat some garlic toast.” Stephen holds a slice of the toast to Ginny’s mouth.
She munches on it. Her beast wanted more of the stew. She finishes two slices off before she goes back to eating the stew.
Stephen could already see that Ginny was getting some of her energies back. The problem was, it was going to take her a while for it to build-up. Once she is done eating. Ginny falls back asleep again.
“Easy Ginny, you’re still recovering.” Stephen could hear the muffled cracking and popping of Ginny’s bones under her skin. They were taking it easy, as they moved down the stairs towards the stair hall.
The pack doctor that has been looking after Ginny. He had finally given her permission to leave her bed, however, he did stress she was to do no shifting. All her bones were still healing, which for a normal Were would have healed within a few days. Since Ginny wasn’t a normal Were and her healing ability had been forced activated to save her life. It was taking longer for her to heal.
Even the abilities she got from her coyote side had been punished to its max.
By the time Ginny got to the bottom of the stairs. She had to lean against the banister to catch her breath.
“I hate feeling like this.” She felt the pain of her bones as they cracked and popped either back in place or as they were used.
“I can’t say I understand how you feel. However, you know Bryan isn’t going to let you go back to work, till Devin gives the okay.”
“I know.” Ginny starts walking across the stair hall towards the central parlor/ living room.
Once they enter the room, she heads over towards her favorite recliner and sits down. She was happy to be out of her bedroom. Even her beast was happy to be out and about. Every once in awhile it would surface to make sure it was safe. Even though it was among its pack, it still was on guard.
“Stephen, did I imagine a bunch of rats helping and talking to me?” Ginny looks at Stephen for an answer.
“You weren’t imagineing them, Ginny. There is a group or mischief of Were-rats that live here in Kingman, Arizona. They watch and report on anything that is happening in the city to Bryan.”
“I thought that was what we did?” Ginny was curious.
“No, we are the enforcers of the peace here. No other Were or supernatural creatures are permitted to set-up shop here without council or our permission. This is considered neutral territory where waring packs or supers can come to work out their problems. Now, the mischief that is here, works with us. The leader of the mischief, a person you know very well. He is the leader of Were-rats in this area.”
“You don’t mean Barney is a Were-rat, do you?”
“I will neither deny or acknowledge that your boss is the leader of the local Rat pack.” Stephen has known since Ginny joined the pack. That her boss has been watching over her since her mother abandoned her.
Leonard dug into her past to find out why a girl her age wasn’t in school and was being paid under the table. Even the bar she worked at, which for them is an asset. Most people who enter another pack, pride or hunting area normally stop at a bar.
“So, that’s a yes?”
“If you say so. What do you want for lunch?” Stephen knew she was going to need food soon.
“Mmmm???, I could go for Mexican, but not your style of Mexican,” Ginny remembers the last time she was with Stephen they had Mexican. It was too spicy for her.
“Don’t worry, I’m not cooking. Serra is bringing us food.” Stephen had asked Serra from the rat pack to come by.
“Thank goodness. If I had to eat your cooking, I might not survive.”
“Remind me again who smoked up the kitchen, because someone left the oil in the frying pan on?” Stephen looks at Ginny.
“Hey, I got distracted from a call on my cell phone.”
“Yeah, right.” Stephen had a smile on his face. After that incident, Bryan wouldn’t let Ginny in the kitchen by herself. She had to prove she could handle the cooking without burning the place down.
Stephen lets Ginny sit and recover for twenty minutes.
“Alright, up and at them. We need to work your joints.” Stephen helps Ginny out of the recliner.
Stephen takes her back out into the stair hall and out into the front hall.
They head out onto the front porch and down the stairs. Bryan told him to let her walk around the pack house. She needed to move around.
“I would say let’s play tag, but you’re not in any shape to chase me.”
“You’re funny, you know that?” Ginny just glares at Stephen as he helped her.
By the time she was ready to go back inside the pack house. A woman with light brown color hair that comes down to her shoulders, wearing a
nice light blue business suit comes out of a 2004 Burgundy Mustang. She walks up to Stephen and Ginny carrying three huge carryout bags from Le Diablo.
Serra could see that Ginny was still a little pale. She wonders why her healing ability wasn’t like most Weres she knew. At least she looked better than the last time she saw her. The poor girl was crushed by several crushed cars. If Barney hadn’t managed to find a way to her and jump-start the healing ability her wolf side had, she would be dead now.
“Hey guys, I bring gifts.” Serra holds up the carryout bags.
“FOOD!” Ginny could smell the contents. Her mouth starts watering from what she was picking up.
“Well come on inside Ginny.” Serra heads into the house and towards the dining room to set up everything she brought with her.
“Food!” Ginny tries to move a little faster towards the house. Her stomach was fine, till she smelled what was inside the bags.
Stephen notices Ginny trying to move a little faster. He lets go of her arm but stay nearby to catch her. He watches her carefully as she makes it to the steps.
Ginny slowly walks up the steps toward the porch. By the time she gets up to the porch, she was exhausted.
“Stephen, I need your assistant.” Ginny hated asking for Stephen’s help.
“I’m right here kiddo.” Stephen grabs her left arm and escorts her into the house and into the dining room.
Serra was setting the last plate when Ginny and Stephen come walking in. She sets the plate she was holding, at where she was going to sit and eat.
“I hope your hungry, guys. I bought a lot of food.”
“I know I am.” Ginny spotted that Serra had bought, burritos, tacos, fajitas’, refried beans, Spanish rice, chips and sauce for them.
Serra had placed ice tea at everyone’s place. She pulls a chair out for Ginny.
“Here you go, Ginny.” Serra watches as Ginny and Stephen step into the dining room.
“Thank you, Serra.” Ginny sits down on the chair.
“You’re welcome.” Serra takes her place.
Stephen starts loading up Ginny’s plate with a huge amount of food, than she normally ate. Bryan told him that she was going to need the extra food. Her weight has dropped below what it should be.
Ginny looks up Stephen as he piled food on her plate “Stephen, this is a little too much for me.”
“Trust me, Ginny. You need this much food. You have burned through too many calories already and you need to replenish them.” Once he was satisfied with her plate. He started on his plate.
Serra just listens as Stephen spoke with Ginny. The mischief found it weird that they had to activate traits from both her nature. Normally, when a child is born from two different Were’s they inherit only certain traits. That wasn’t the case with Ginny. She had traits from her Wolf side and her Coyote side. However, they weren’t active inside of her. They were dormant, which was unusual.
“How is your food, Serra?” Ginny was looking towards Serra.
“Fine, it looks like you are halfway through your meal.”
Ginny blushes from embarrassment. Once she started eating, she just couldn’t stop. Her body was craving the nutrients from the food.
“Sorry.” As she bites into a taco.
“There’s nothing to be sorry about, Ginny. Like Stephen told you. Your body has burned what calories you had and what you have been getting. If you were a pure Were, you would be acting the same way. Actually, your beast would be at the forefront looking for a fresh kill.”
“Sometimes it is, but not to hunt. She knows her body is wounded, and she comes forward to make sure her pack is protecting her. Even now, she is listening to us.” Ginny’s eyes had bled to her coywolf eyes.
Serra saw the settle changes in Ginny’s eyes and the changing of her scent. She looks towards Stephen to see if he noticed the changes, but he just kept eating.
Stephen had caught a glimpse of Serra looking at him “we’re used to it. Bryan has been monitoring her.”
Serra glances back towards Ginny and notices the coywolf was looking at her. She had stopped eating and was paying attention to her.
“Don’t move Serra. She smells your rat nature.” Stephen had stopped eating to protect Serra.
Ginny watches for a few minutes and then goes back to eating her food. She stops to see why Stephen and Serra weren’t eating.
“Is everything okay?” She had a puzzled look on her face.
“Everything is alright, Ginny. Your coywolf paid us a visit.”
“Oh, okay.” Ginny goes back to eating.
The rest of lunch goes by peacefully. By the time Ginny is done eating, she is ready for a nap. Stephen escorts her to the living room and lets her lay down on the sofa. He drapes a blanket over her and goes back to the dining room to help Serra clean-up.
“Does her Coywolf do that a lot?”
“Nope, she normally stays quiet till Ginny needs her or changes into her.” Stephen takes the dirty dishes into the kitchen and places them in the dishwasher.
“Has she ever lost control of her nature?” Serra brings what is left into the kitchen and put them in the frig.
“The first time she changed. Some bikers tried to rape her and ended up being coywolf chow for her. Her coywolf saved her that night.”
“Was that the first time she changed?”
“Yes. That was the first time she changed.” Stephen kept cleaning the table.
“Where was the coywolf that changed her?” Serra knew all makers were required to mentor anyone they changed. That was the law among all
Were’s. if you broke that rule, you died.
“She wasn’t created by another coywolf that was like us or an offspring. She was created by a Veterinarian playing around with a serum that had the virus that creates us in it. He injected it into a normal Coywolf he captured to use as an experiment. It escaped and attack Ginny while she was working. She managed to kill it, but it had managed to transfer the virus through its bite in its saliva to her.
“That would explain why none of the traits were active and why she had all of them.”
“Well, I don’t know anything about that. All I do know is that ever since Barney activated her healing traits and the rest of her genes. Her body has been going through some changes.”
“If he didn’t activate those genes, she would be dead right now. Barney said her healing ability wasn’t that strong.” Serra and Barney had talked about it afterward.
“Hey, I’m glad he did. Everyone in the pack has come to think of Ginny as a daughter. She drives Leonard crazy with some of her antics, and she is fun to kid around with and teased.”
“I’ve heard about some of your twos antics. Still, it’s good she gets along in the pack. Just remember, she’s going to test you guys and want her freedom.”
“We already know that. Bryan is going to give her as much as he can, but you know as well as I do. Female Were’s aren’t very common in the community. You’re the exception to that rule. You had yourself, changed after you became a Wererat.”
“All I did is made how I felt inside match my other nature. Remember, I had a female rat form. I wasn’t male. So, I underwent the surgery to change. Suppressing my natural healing talent was hard.”
Serra had felt better after she had her body changed. She had to get a flesh sculpture to do the work. Then she had to drink a potion for two weeks that suppressed her nature healing talent.
“Well, I’m just happy that your happy now and thanks for coming over.” She hugs Stephen.
He returns the hug. Afterward, Stephen escorts Serra to her car.
“Ginny, Stephen can the two of you come to my office please?” Bryan’s voice comes over the intercom outside near the pool.
Ginny looks up from doing her laps in the pool. Bryan and Leonard felt that she should build her endurance up. So, they instructed Stephen to make sure she did the laps.
“I wonder what Bryan want?” Ginny climbs up out of the pool. She had worn her new bikini that she bought the other day on the way home from work.
“I don’t know. We haven’t caused any trouble lately.” Stephen leads the way towards Bryan’s office.
He knocks before entering.
“Enter!”
Stephen walks in first with Ginny following behind him. He wonders what Bryan wanted with him and Ginny.
“What’s up boss?” he watches as Ginny walks over and sits down on one of the two leather chairs in Bryan’s office.
Bryan directs his gaze from the computer monitor he was looking at towards his two youngest pack members. He notices Ginny’s body has been filling out more since Barney activated her suppressed gifts.
“Stephen, I’ll need for you and Ginny to pack enough clothes for two weeks. We’re going to be visiting a few packs on the East coast that have petition the council to be recognized. I think its time for you to meet other pack members you normally don’t get a chance to meet.” Bryan wanted to expand Ginny’s experience with other Were’s.
“Cool, road trip.” Stephen was excited.
“I don’t know if I have the vacation time with Barney.” Ginny knew she has missed a lot of work and he might not give her the time off from work.
“You’re covered, Ginny. Barney understands this is pack business and he is given you two weeks paid vacation.” Bryan knew Ginny worried about money, but what she didn’t know.
All her expenses were being covered by the pack. Which she didn’t have many. Her trailer was rented out to a member of Barney’s mischief.
“Are we staying with the packs were visiting or a hotel?” Stephen wanted to make sure Ginny packs the right clothes.
“A little of both. There will be a few packs we will be staying with and there will be a few that we’ll stay in a hotel for the night.” Bryan had a few
packs they were planning on visiting that he hasn’t seen in a while.
“Cool, I’ll make sure our little mutt is packed correctly.” Stephen looks towards Ginny with a smirk on his face.
Ginny sticks her tongue out at him.
Bryan just shakes his head at their antics.
“Go and get ready to leave. We’re leaving in two hours.” Bryan goes back to finishing his work.
Stephen takes Ginny up to her room and helps her pack. He teases her about her Hello Kitty panties and bras.
“Hey, don't diss Hello Kitty.” Ginny smacks Stephen.
“There, you are all packed.” Stephen looks from the suitcase he had been packing, while Ginny a few other.
She had three suitcases and a garment bag filled with some dresses. Normally, whenever there is a special meeting or function, Bryan wanted
her to dress in one of the expensive dresses he bought her. She had slipped on a pair of shorts and a nice blouse and low heels to wear to the airport.
Stephen drives them to the airport, where a black and tan Lear Jet is waiting for them. He parks the car and head inside to get a luggage cart to take their luggage in.
“We’re flying in that?” Ginny stops and looks at the Lear Jet.
She has never been up in a plane before. She felt nervous standing only a few feet from it. Her eyes switch to her coyote eyes.
Bryan could smell Ginny’s scent change “it's going to be okay, Ginny.” He grabs her hand and sends a little bit of his power into her to calm her down.
Ginny felt Bryn’s power as it courses through her and soothes her beast. Her eyes switch back to her normal ones.
“Come on Ginny.” Bryan escorts Ginny towards the plane and helps her up in it.
Ginny looks around as she boards the plane. She has never been in one or up in one before. She takes a seat by the window and waits for
Stephen and the ground crew to finish loading their luggage.
Stephen and Bryan come walking up into the plane. Stephen takes the seat across from Ginny and Bryan sits in the seat across the aisle from them.
“Alright, Denver were all loaded, and the door is shut.”
“Gotcha boss. I’ve already arranged to have a car meet us at the airport when we land.” Denver had called a car rental place to have an SUV
waiting for them at the airport.
Ginny squeezes the armrest when she feels the plane taxi down the runway. Then when it lifted off the tarmac, it felt like she was being lifted out of her seat as they flew higher. She lets go of the armrest and looks out the window next to her. She couldn’t believe how small everything looked as they flew over it.
“Are you still nervous?” Stephen loved flying and enjoyed watching Ginny squirm some from her nervousness.
Bryan was watching both and making sure Ginny was okay. He felt her relax once they got up in the air.
“Where are we heading Bryan?” Ginny looks over towards Bryan.
“We’ll be landing in Greensboro, North Carolina. From there we will be driving to Denton, N.C. to visit a rather small pack called Thunder Creek Pack. They have claimed Davidson County, N.C. as their territory. Plus, they have been experiencing attacks from a group of rogues lately.”
“Who’s the Alpha of the Thunder Creek pack?” Stephen has never heard the name before.
“A very old Were that goes by Job McCoy now a days.” Bryan looks at his notes to make sure his information is right.
“How old is he?” Stephen was curious. The oldest Were he has ever met came from the middle ages.
“He’s about twelve hundred years old.” Bryan has only met him a few times.
Ginny looks towards Bryan with a curious look on her face “he’s twelve hundred years old? How long do Were’s live?”
“Rather long Ginny. Barring fights, and natural disasters. We live rather long. There are only a few things that can hurt us, however, time does
take a toll on the mind of an old Were. Some Were’s can’t take seeing their friends and family dying, while they live on. So, they either take their own life or ask their Alpha to do it. Sometimes, they will go out and pick a fight, just to be killed.”
“You mean I can possibly live for a very long time and never age?” Ginny had wondered about that.
“Yep? Didn’t you realize that?” Stephen thought he covered that with Ginny.
“I thought you were joking.”
“I told you I was born in April of 1960.” Stephen missed the sixty’s.
“If this Alpha we are visiting was born twelve hundred years ago. Where did he come from?”
“He’s an ancient Viking.” Bryan knew of a few others, but the ones he knew lived in Europe.
“Oh, cool. He should have a lot of history he can tell us about.” Ginny wouldn’t mind hearing stories of his adventures.
“Maybe after we conduct our business. You can get him to tell you about what he experiences over the centuries.”
Thunder Creek Pack:
“Erin, you don’t need to be in here helping. I and my staff can handle preparations for dinner tonight.” Paula looks at their new female Alpha as she peels potatoes for dinner.
Erin had a potato peeler in one hand and a huge potato in the other hand. She was getting bored not being able to help around the kitchen.
Every time she came into either help or clean up, Paula would run her out.
“I know I don’t have to help, but I want too. I feel guilty not helping.” Erin looks over at their head cook.
“And I appreciate it Erin, but this is my job. Now, please leave the kitchen.” Paula hopes she doesn’t have to go and get Letno or Job to
remove Erin from the kitchen.
Erin puts her potato peeler down and leaves the kitchen. Since she became a woman and the Alpha mate. Her world has been turned upside down. She was feeling comfortable now being a woman. She never wanted to be one. She liked being a male, but now since she has become one. She was finding that she was enjoying it. Sure, it was a shock to discover that Job was her mate. She hadn’t felt it, but Job had.
He took his time wooing her and letting her make the choice. Once she accepted being his mate and being a woman. They got married. They held the wedding here at the ranch and Lento was her bride’s maid, along with a few other women and people she knew.
Job told her she couldn’t reveal what he or any of the people on the ranch were. Lento and Jolha used a glamour spell to make themselves look normal around the guest. The wedding reception lasted all night long. Job had to carry her inside to their bed and undress her. She had fallen asleep around two in the morning from too much drinking and lack of sleep the night before.
She leaves the kitchen and heads for Job’s office. She doesn’t bother to knock before entering. She walks in and sees him looking at his computer screen.
“Got kicked out of the kitchen again?” Job had a grin on his face.
“Yes, Paula kicked me out.” Erin huffed as she made herself comfortable in her favorite leather chair in Job’s office.
“Well, you get to have some fun when Bryan Hudson gets here in two hours. You can show him and his people how charming and sweet you are.” Job couldn’t believe after twelve hundred years he had found his mate and had children on the way as well.
Erin tilts her head to the side and looks towards her husband “why is he coming?”
“Because I petition the Supernatural Council to recognize our pack. We have met the minimum requirements for pack status.” Job knew it wouldn’t take much time once a few lone wolves heard there was a new pack forming.
“Was I one reason you needed?” Erin wonders if she had something to do with their pack status.
“Come mere sweetie.” Job holds his hand out for her.
Erin stands up and walks around his huge oak desk and takes his hand. The next thing she knew, he was pulling her onto his lap.
“No, you aren’t one of the reason. For a pack to be recognized by the council, is that they must have four core members first off. Secondly,
they must have a minimum of ten members. Secondly, you must petition the council for recognition and be investigated by either Bryan
Hudson, Alan Sparger or Clark Leon. Bryan is normally the one you want to come because he is considered a neutral party.”
“I never knew Were-Wolf politics were so complex.” Erin lays her head on Job’s shoulder.
“You haven’t seen or heard anything yet.” He kisses her on the lips.
After he finishes kissing her. She looks into his green eyes “are they staying here on the ranch with us or in the city?”
“They will be accepting our hospitality here at the ranch.”
“Then I better make sure the guest rooms are ready. How many are coming?” Hopefully, Lento already knew about this.
“At least five. Bryan is bringing his pilot’s, his assistant and another member of his with him.” Job had received a text from Bryan asking if it was alright if his pilot’s stay at the ranch during their visit.
8:00 P.M. Greensboro Airport
Ginny had fallen asleep on their flight. Bryan worked on some paperwork, while Stephen played a video game. After six hours of flying, Denver lands the Lear at Greensboro airport. Ginny jerks awake startled, and ready to jump out of her seat.
“Everything is okay, Ginny.” Stephen puts his hand on hers and calms her Coywolf down.
The plane comes to a complete stop “Okay, you can start getting off.”
Charlie comes forward from the cockpit and opens the door. He has flown with Denver several times before. He exits the plane and notices an SUV waiting for them.
“Come on sleepy head.” Stephen helps Ginny to the SUV and lets her take the back seat.
While Ginny naps, the guys unload the Lear and secure it.
Once everyone is in the SUV, Bryan drives them towards their destination. Which will take additional forty five minutes to get to.
Bryan follows the long driveway up towards the two-story ranch house. He remembered the first time he visited the place. As they were driving up the driveway towards the house, they pass a herd of Angus cattle.
“They have cattle?” Stephen looks at his leader.
“Yep, Job’s pack is in the cattle business. It’s how they support themselves.” Bryan had been surprised when he visited the place and looked over their records.
They make a huge chunk of their money from beef sales and such. Bryan knew they had another type of cattle on the ranch. The Angus cows were just one type of cattle they had. They had other types for milking and for American beef.
Bryan pulls their SUV to the front of the house. They had a circular driveway and there were a group of people waiting for them when he comes to a stop. He notices that Job was standing outside waiting for him. There was a short curvy woman with bright blue hair tied into a ponytail standing next to him. She was shorted then Job.
There was a young girl with bright red hair, dressed in tights and a bright neon purple shirt standing behind her with two Dark Elves. The female Dark Elves was named Letno and had her hands resting on the shoulders of the young teenage girl. Bryan knew Rebecca was Lento’s adopted daughter and was second in charge. Her husband Greg was Job’s second and married to Lento.
“Who’s the chick with the bright blue hair, Bryan?” Stephen had spotted the woman standing next to Job.
“According to the email I got, that’s Job’s wife, Erin. They got married a few months back.” Bryan remembered reading the email.
“How did she get her hair so neon blue.” He has never seen hair so blue that was natural.
“You’ll have to ask her. Now, be on your best behavior.”
Erin and Job watch as a black SUV comes to a stop before them. The driver gets out first, who happened to be Bryan. The passenger side door opens and a young man in his late twenties comes out.
“Job, it’s good to see you. Allow me to introduce one of my wolves. This Stephen, he is one of my assistants.” Bryan watches as Stephen walks forward.
“Hello, I’m Stephen Miles.” Stephen extends his hand out to Job.
“I’m Job McCoy, Alpha of Thunder Creek Pack. This is my lovely wife Erin.” Job watches as Erin extends her hand out to Stephen.
“Greetings.” Stephen kisses the top of Erin’s hand. When he bends to kiss her hand, he notices she has pink eyes and could smell she was with child.
“This is Greg Leaffall, he is my second in command. The young lady with the bright red hair is his daughter, Rebecca and the woman standing behind her is my wife’s second in charge and Greg’s wife Lento Leaffall. This is my chief enforcer Jolha Daybirth.”
Jolha nods to Stephen and Bryan. He notices that he couldn’t sense anything from Bryan, but he could feel that Stephen was a submissive wolf. His senses were picking up something unusual still in the SUV.
Denver and Charlie step out of the SUV. Denver had a sleeping Ginny in his arms.
“Ah, allow me to introduce my pilot and co-pilot Denver and Charlie. The young lady asleep in Charlie’s arms is my ward, Ginny Tailor.” Bryan couldn’t believe Ginny was sound asleep.
Job looks at the young girl “I take it, she doesn’t like to fly?”
“She’s never flown before.” Bryan touches Ginny’s forehead and sends a little power inside of her, to wake her up.
Charlie sets Ginny down on her feet when he feels her waking up. He saw her eyes flash to her coywolf ones.
“She's awake, Bryan.” Charlie watches as Ginny steps closer to Bryan.
All the wolves, Lento, Jolha, and Rebecca could smell that Ginny's scent had changed. It wasn’t human anymore, but a combination of Coyote and Wolf.
“It’s okay, Ginny. No one is going to hurt you.” Bryan takes Ginny’s hand and holds it. He sends a bit of his power into her.
Ginny calms down and holds Bryan’s hand. She looks at the people in front of her. She could smell three wolves, three fey and something different. Her eyes rest on Erin.
She tilts her head to the side trying to figure her out. Bryan notices Ginny behavior.
“I think she is trying to figure out what your wife is, Job.” Bryan was looking at Job and his wife.
“That’s okay. We’re still trying to figure out how to classify my wife.” He looks lovely at Erin.
“I’m your better half and the heart of this pack.” She punches him in the arm.
“That you are.” Job pulls her close and kisses her.
She returns the kiss and after a few seconds she breaks the kiss “I think we should escort our guest into the house and show them to their rooms.”
“If you’ll follow me, Bryan, I’ll have our house staff come out and unload your luggage.” He mentally sends a message to Paula to send Becky and Harry out to unload the SUV.
As they walk into the old ranch house, they are met by a woman with short brown hair, dressed in a pair of blue jeans pants, nice white blouse and had a set of bangles on each arm. She had on a pair of cowboy boots.
“Welcome to Thunder Creek Ranch, I’m Paula Lang and the head housekeeper. If you need anything, feel free to let me know. If you’ll follow me, I’ll show you to your rooms.” Paula turns around to lead everyone to their room.
Bryan notices that Paula had a slight German accent to her speech. He knew she must be new because the last time he was here. Someone else was in charge.
Paula shows Stephen to his room first “here’s your room Mr. Miles.”
She opens the door for him. It was a nice bedroom. It looked like something out of home and gardens. Paula looks at Denver and Charlies “I hope you don’t mind sharing gentlemen?”
“We’ll be fine.” Denver and Charlie have shared rooms before.
“Your room Mr. Hudson is here and there is a connecting door that leads to your wards room.” Paula shows Bryan the hidden door that would
allow him to check on Ginny.
“Thank you, Ms. Lang.” Bryan inspects the room.
Becky comes walking in with Bryan’s luggage.
“Where would you like your luggage, Alpha Hudson?” Becky was keeping her eyes down from his.
“It’s okay to look me in the eyes, Becky. You’re a submissive and I would never hurt you.” Bryan places his hand gently on her shoulder. She flinches when he touches her.
He looks towards Paula “her former Alpha abused her. He was hooked on bone dust and allowing certain men in his pack to rape the women that were part of the pack. Job found out what he was doing to the women and submissive in his pack and killed him.”
“Since then, we have been trying to show what a good Alpha is.” Paula looked over towards Becky. She suffered the most under the old Alpha.
“If there is anything I can do, just ask.” Bryan wraps his arms around Becky and shares a bit of his power with her.
Becky relaxes and looks up into Bryans' eyes. She could see that he really cares, just like Job and his wife does.
“Thank you.” She gives him a hug, after placing his bags down.
Ginny walks into Bryan’s room and watches as the light brown hair woman leaves his room. She wonders what happened to her.
“Is everything okay?” Ginny looks towards Bryan.
“Everything is fine, Ginny.” He knew about the pack, but he didn’t know it had been that bad.
Bone Dust was highly addictive to Were’s and knew the longer a Were was taking it, the more insane and unstable they became. Too many
Were’s have been affected by the dust. They put a major producer out of business, but they knew there were still some smaller producers out there.
Bryan goes to meet up with Job and his wife in Job’s office. There were a few things Bryan wanted to go over with Job.
“Hey, kiddo. Rebecca is willing to give us a tour of the place. Are you up to it or do you want to lay down till dinner?” Stephen sticks his head into Ginny’s room.
Stephen knew Denver and Charlies were having drinks with Greg and a person named Kevin in the lounge. Denver liked how it was designed, it looked like a diner out of the fifties. It had an old fashion jukebox, a nice huge pool table, and a few pinball machines. There was also a fully stock bar as well.
“I’m game, did you smell Rebecca? She smelled like she was Fey like her mother.” Ginny follows Stephen.
“I smelled it too.” They arrive down at the foyer where Rebecca was waiting for them.
Rebecca looks at Ginny “mom said you were some sort of cross between a wolf and coyote. Is that true?”
Ginny looks at the bright red hair teenage girl “yes, I’m a cross between a coyote and a wolf.”
“Cool, I would love to see what you look like.” Rebecca was curious.
“I’ll show you later.” Ginny didn’t mind showing Rebecca her Were form.
“Cool, if you’ll follow me. I’ll give you a tour of the ranch.” Rebecca got the okay from Job to show whoever wanted to around.
Rebecca shows Stephen and Ginny around the ranch.
Bryan smelled something sweet and woodsy. His arm was draped over something and he felt pressed up against something. His wolf wakes up and takes a deep breath of the nude figure lying next to him.
In a slight growl “ours!” Bryan manages to come forward in his mind and tries to figure out why a young attractive woman was laying in his bed.
Roberta turns around to lay on her other side and her eyes opened. They were gold and was looking at a black-haired man with a nicely formed face and chin. A low growl comes from her throat, as the scent of the man in front of her is recognized as her mate. Her lips lock onto his and the two of them start kissing.
Bryan rolls the woman that was in his bed onto her back and spread her legs open. He could feel her nails scraping against his back. A growl erupts out of his mouth as he slams into her opening.
She tightens her legs around him and digs her nails into his back. Roberta looks up into Bryan’s eyes.
“You are mine and I am yours. Mark and take me.” As she bites his lower lip.
Bryan shifts into his hybrid form and slams deep into her, pass her cervix and into her uterus. He buries himself so deep into her, that he hears her yell with pleasure. He feels her legs lock tight around his huge waist.
“Deeper!” as Roberta prepares herself.
Bryan pulls out some and slams home till his knot is buried deep into her body. He locks his muzzle on her shoulder. He feels her teeth sink into his flesh as her legs tighten around his waist.
Roberta’s mind was overwhelmed with the pleasure she got from her mate biting her and burying himself deep into her. Her vaginal muscles were locked so tight around his knot. That he wouldn’t be able to pull it out till she wanted to release it.
Bryan releases his bite and bites the other side. This was his mate and he was going to mark her so others would know. He feels her release her bite and moves to his other shoulder.
Lento and Andrew’s bedroom:
Andrew had his arm wrapped around Rebecca’s waist, as she slept between him and Lento. She had a room of her own, but she didn’t sleep too well by herself and always crawled into their bed. She was close to four hundred years old or more, but she was still a mommies’ girl.
Lento opens her eyes and sits up in bed. She was looking around their bedroom.
“What is it Lento?” Andrew had changed into his hybrid form and was standing up.
“I thought I smelled a cat in the pack house.” With a thought, Lento causes her armor to appear around her.
Andrew grabs his sword and follows his wife. He glances back to make sure Rebecca was still asleep. The last thing he or Lento wanted to see was their little girl hurt.
He follows his wife and when he comes to the main foyer, he saw his Alpha’s standing there with several other pack members. Andrew saw a coywolf among the wolves standing near both his Alpha’s. He noticed that Erin was in her armor and the blue stripes on it were glowing brightly.
Leetha and Jolha were standing close to one another also in their armor. They were looking outside to a group of people wearing similar clothing, except one that was dressed in a tight body suit and had tiny silver bells at her throat on a collar. She had a cat’s tail and ears.
Betty looks at all the wolves that surrounded them. She spots several fey among the wolves and Job as well. There was a blueish glowing female armor, that looked like it was something out of an Iron Man comic standing next to him.
“Job, Alpha of Thunder Creek Pack. I am council troubleshooter Lady Betty. I am here to speak with the Princess and her companions.” Lady Betty steps forward.
Karen watches her wife as she walks towards Job and all the wolves that surrounded him. There was a strange looking wolf among the others.
She leans over towards Andrew.
“What type of wolf is that?” Karen points towards Ginny’s wolf form.
“You know, I have no idea.” Andrew had looked at the wolf Karen pointed out, but he couldn’t figure out what it was.
Ginny saw the Neko woman point at her as she was talking to another person. She tilts her head to the side and wonder where Bryan was. Stephen was standing next to her and the pilot and co-pilot were on the other side of her.
“Stephen, where is Bryan?” Ginny was looking around for her leader.
“I don’t know.” Stephen had tried contacting Bryan mentally, but he was blocked.
Lady Betty makes it to Job “I’m not here on council business. One of my people picked up on the unique energies of a Royal Princess of the elven kind.”
Job gives the mental message to everyone to stand down. He looks at Lady “why don’t you invite your team into the house and we can talk in the conference room about her.”
Jolha and Leetha look at one another and follow Job into the house. Leetha notices that none of the Blackwell people were awake yet.
“Jolha, why aren’t any of the people I came with awake?” She walks with Jolha into the house.
“I cast a sleep spell to keep them out of it. The last thing we need is for your researchers to publish any pictures of us.” Jolha wasn’t going to take any chances.
“Andre would make sure they followed orders. The two I would worry about most is Luna and Trinity.” Leetha knew the two of them had been changed into what they are now.
“I’m going to go and check on them.” Leetha turns to walk off.
Jolha grabs her hand “this is new to me as well, Leetha.”
A smile appears on her face “I’m not running away from you because of you being my mate. Remember, I agreed to be your mate last night.”
She leans in and kisses Jolha on his cheek.
Jolha could feel their combined energies inside his body her magical energies have taken root in him. He knew his energies have taken hold in her as well. He could see it in her hair and body.
“I know.” He watches as she walks off to check on the Blackwell crew.
Luna, Trinity and the Princess were still out of it. She checks on Cleo, Joanna, Henry, and Joseph to make sure they were still asleep.
“They are still out of it, Leetha.” Andre comes walking out of the room he had been given.
“I’m just checking sir. We have some visitors and I don’t want the team to bother them.” Leetha heard what the one female elf had said about wanting to talk to the princess.
“I know, I have met them before. Go ahead and wake the Princess, Luna, and Trinity.” Andre meet Betty a very long time ago in England. Just like he met Lento in Scotland while exploring some ancient ruins.
Leetha walks in and wakes the Princess, Luna, and Trinity. She watches as Luna shakes her head to clear the fogginess she was feeling.
Trinity looks at Leetha “you know they want to meet all of us, right?”
“I know Trinity. Why don’t you come with me and I’ll see about introducing you to them?” Leetha holds her hand out to Trinity to take.
Trinity grabs Leetha’s hand and lets her pull her up out of bed. Once she is standing up, she says a few words and her clothes change.
“Come on Trinity and Princess, let’s go and meet the other Fey.” Leetha escorts them downstairs to a conference room.
Ginny and Stephen:
The two of them went to see what was going on with their Alpha. They knock on his door “Enter!” there was a growl in his voice.
Stephen opens the door and notices that Bryan was in his hybrid form. He was on top of another wolf hybrid in his bed and the room smelled of sex.
“Now, I see why you weren’t outside sir. We had some visitors dropped in on us.” Stephen could see that their leader was buried deep in the other wolf.
Bryan should have felt the summon from Job, but he didn’t.
“I didn’t feel it either, my husband.” Roberta could hear Bryan thoughts very clearly.
“It’s not like we could have done anything. You have a death grip on me.” He looks down into Roberta’s eyes.
“Because I want everything that is mine.” She wiggles under him.
Ginny sticks her head in “I think Bryan is going to be occupied for the rest of the day.” She had a grin on her face.
“Let’s go and check these new Fey’s out.” Stephen and Ginny leave Bryan’s room.
Erin had gotten out of her armor and put it back in its storage locker. She slips her dress on and heads towards the conference room. Rebecca runs by her.
“Rebecca, slow down. You know there’s no running in the house.” Erin watches as Rebecca slows down.
“Sorry alpha. I wanted to see the kitty cat.” Rebecca looks back towards Erin as she gets closer to her.
“You mean the neko?” Erin had been curious about her as well.
“Yes, ma’am.” Rebecca wanted to see her. Her mother finally woke her up and told her that several other Fey were here. One of them was Frog.
Rebecca remembered Frog. They had met in Spain during the 1800’s. She was walking around with her mother buying supplies when they came across Frog. She was buying supplies for herself and a bunch of orphans she had taken in and was raising.
Erin walks with Rebecca to the conference room. As they were walking there, they met up with Ginny and Stephen. Then just as they were about to open the door, Leetha and Jolha come escorting the Princess, Trinity, and Luna.
Luna flies over to Rebecca and starts speaking to her. She had noticed that Rebecca had fey energies in her body. She wanted to know more about the young girl.
Erin looks around and notices that they had a large collection of Elves and one pixie in the room. She notices that the Neko was standing near Lady Betty. She walks over towards the Neko.
“Hi, I’m Erin McCoy mate to Job McCoy, welcome to Thunder Creek Ranch.” Erin had her hand held out to shake Karen’s hand.
“I’m Karen, mate to Lady Betty. Thank you for letting us speak with the Princess.” Karen shakes Erin’s hand and could feel she was a walking battery of energy.
When Karen’s hand touched hers, she could tell everything about Karen. The young woman felt like she was like her. Erin could also feel she wasn’t what she appeared. This young woman was a combination of three different types of races.
Karen felt the magical energies inside Erin. She could draw on this woman’s energies and never drain her. She also felt that she was with child as well.
“How along are you?” Karen was looking at Erin’s tummy when she asked.
“I’m in my fourth month. Lucky for me, I’m only having one baby.” Erin was glad she wasn’t having twins or even triplets. Job told her it was
common for mates of Alpha’s to birth more than one child their first time.
“Trust me, there’s no feeling like being a mother. I’ve given birth to eighteen children and I normally gave birth to three to six children at once.” Karen has had several litters of kittens since she has been changed into a Neko.
The first time, she gave birth to six children thanks to Clair getting her pregnant. Since then, she volunteer to let Clair get her pregnant several times. She just waiting for the day Betty will get her pregnant.
“How long have you and Lady Betty been married?” Erin had noticed the wedding ring on Karen’s hand.
“For three years now. Our anniversary is coming up and she has been hinting that she has something special planned.” Karen couldn’t wait till her anniversary.
Bryan’s Bedroom:
Bryan had changed back to his human form and Roberta was snuggled against him. He had his arm wrapped around her, holding her close to his skin. Occasionally, her body will shiver from tiny orgasms that she was still feeling. He kisses her forehead as he held her close to his body. His hand was caressing her breast.
“You don’t remember how you ended up in my bed?” Not that it matters to Bryan. He didn’t think he would ever meet his mate.
“The last thing I remember is going to bed in my room at Joe’s pack house and being woken-up here next to you. I wonder if Jackie or her
daughter had something to do with it.” Roberta clearly remembered going to bed, after their night time run.
“Who were the two people that came to check on you?” Roberta shivers again as another micro orgasm hit her.
She places her hand on her tummy and wonders if she was pregnant like her friend Paulina.
“Oh, you are so knocked up my love.” Bryan had felt Roberta’s thoughts.
Bryan could tell her scent was slowly changing. His wolf made sure that their mate would become pregnant from their mating. It wanted to start a family right away.
“To answer your question, the first one is Stephen Miles, he’s one of the submissive wolves in my pack. The young girl that was with him, is our
ward, Ginny Tailor. She’s complicated and has had a hard life so far. She’s still learning what it means to be a Were.”
“What type of Were is she?” Roberta had caught her scent and it didn’t smell right.
“She’s a coywolf. She was accidentally created by a bite from a real coywolf that had been used in a medical experiment.” Bryan still remembers the vet that was responsible for Ginny’s creation.
“How many wolves are in our pack?” She looks up into Bryan’s eyes.
“We have twenty wolves total. Our pack is small because we are in neutral territory.” Bryan kept his pack small for a reason. It was easier to keep track of his wolves and you never know if you were near one of his wolves.
“How many women are in your pack?” Roberta needed to know because she would oversee them.
“Just you and Ginny.” Bryan felt himself getting hard again.
Roberta turns around to face him and mount him. she looks down into his eyes “you never need my permission. I am yours, just like you are mine.” As she leans down and kiss him.
All the Alpha’s that were at Thunder Creek Ranch sat with their members. Andre was sitting with the Princess and Trinity. Luna was entertaining Rebecca, while Leetha and Jolha were standing near the door. Lady Betty was sitting with Karen next to her.
Job stands up and looks at everyone present. Since this was his pack house, he had every right to find out why Lady Betty and her crew was here. Also, why Andre and his paranormal crew was here as well.
“Lady Betty, can you please tell me why you are here?” Job looks at her and her mate.
Lady Betty stands up and looks at Job, Bryan, and Andre “ I and my group came to speak with the Princess. We felt her awakening and sense her movement. We wanted to know why.”
Lady Betty sits back down in her chair. She looks over towards Andre Blackstone and wonders how the Princess ended up with him. She knew Mr. Blackstone secret and who he truly is.
Job looks towards Andre Blackstone “Mr. Blackstone, can you tell us how the Princess ended up with you and why you are here?”
Andre Blackstone stands up “The Princess came to my agency because she senses three fey among my employment. After speaking with her, it was decided we would travel the United States, Canada, and Mexico to gather all the fey. What I didn’t know at the time, was that Trinity here.” He motions to Trinity sitting near him. “She saw that Leetha’s mate was here.”
Leetha waves her hand at everyone.
Mr. Blackstone sits back down in his chair. He feels Trinity grab his hand. He looks at her “you could have told me, Trinity.”
“Sorry, sir.” Trinity felt bad about deceiving him.
Lady Betty looks towards the Princess “are you really trying to gather up all the fey, ma’am.”
Princess Ashera Rodan stands up and looks at everyone present “I think it is time for the Fey to make our presence known to the world. We have been hiding in the shadows for so long, that we have faded to be only myths. We have also spread out away from each other, where is power came from us acting as one and combining our magic. It is time for us to build a new home and come together as one. However, to do that. I need to locate all the fey and let them know one of their Princesses are back.”
“Isn’t that kind of dangerous and have you spoken to the Fey council members about your decision?” Bryan knew there was a reason the Fey kept their existences secret. There wasn’t many of them left. They were slowly dying off because of all the cold iron society is using.
“I don’t need this council’s permission to rebuild the Fey.” Princess Rodan looks directly at Bryan.
“Princess, you better avoid looking directly in his eyes. Wolves don’t like to be challenged.” Leetha noticed how the princess was looking at
Bryan. She also heard a little growl coming from the woman sitting next to Bryan.
“Actually, Princess you do need the council’s permission to do what you want to do. People aren’t ready to believe that magic is real and the myths they grew up with are true. When the vampires came out. A bunch of Religious fanatics and churches had a hard time dealing with it. The governments of the world don’t understand how many vampires there are or how the supernatural community outnumber them.” Lady Betty knew the other royals on the council wouldn’t approve of her plan.
“I am the Princess Ashera Rodan of the Icredo Kingdom and I do not need permisson from anyone to rebuild the fae.” Princess Rodan looks at Lady Betty when she says this.
“Actually, you do Princess.” As Karen stands up and her eyes glow white.
Leetha and Jolha step forward, as does Lento. They were ready to react should things headed south.
“Who are you to tell me what I can or can’t do?” Princess Rodan looks directly at Karen.
“Because I outrank you.” Karen was of a house that was higher than Princess Rodan. Not only that, even Lady Betty outranked her.
Karen let a bit of her power extend out away from her body. She directs it towards Princess Rodan and let her feel how powerful she was. She wanted Princess Rodan to feel her power.
Ginny leans towards Bryan “If she is a fey, I am a monkey’s daughter.”
Ginny could feel Karen’s power and it didn’t feel like fey energy. It felt different to her. It felt very old and unique.
Princess Rodan felt the power coming from the Neko girl. She shivers as it hits her body and engulfs her. She couldn’t believe how powerful the Neko girl was and it had an old feel to it.
Erin started glowing a little bright from the extra energy floating around in the room. Her body started soaking it up. She looks at her husband.
“I’m not doing this on purpose.” Erin was still learning about her gift.
Bryan stands up and looks towards the fey ”ENOUGH!” He puts power behind his words and both Princess Rodan and Karen felt the power and stopped what they were doing.
Karen just sits back down in her chair as Bryan directed his gaze at her. His wolf was forefront and was very dominate. He glances at Princess Rodan “sit down, NOW!”
Princess Rodan tries to resist but fell under his influence. She didn’t know why she obeyed his command, but she did.
“Now, Princess you will listen to me. Nothing is done without the council’s permission. If you want the fey to come together, that’s fine. I can understand that. However, you will be exposing other races who right now don’t want the human populace to know we exist. It would escalate tensions even more between us and john cue public. So, until this matter has been approved by the council. You will follow the rules about being exposed to the public. If you cannot follow that rule. I will be more than happy to explain them.” There was a growl in Bryan’s voice.
Princess Rodan knew she had to obey because she felt the last part of his statement as being an order. She didn’t know who he was, but she couldn’t fight his power or command. She nods her head in acknowledgment.
Job had a smile on his face when he felt Bryan’s power. Now, he understood why he was the one to handle all the negotiations. Job looks at his wife and the blueish glow she had, was gone.
Lady Betty had a smile on her face. She now knew why the council had appointed Bryan as a council negotiator.
“Now that, that matter is taken care of. Andre, I thought you didn’t want to have anything to do with our world anymore. Do your employees know what you truly are?” Betty knew what Andre was and how old he was.
Trinity looks at Mr. Blackstone “what is she talking about, boss?”
Mr. Blackstone takes a deep breath “I’ve been alive for a very long time. I’m the oldest of all the immortals. I decided long ago to stop associating with the council and just help those who wanted to know more about the supernatural.”
“Which puts us in a predicament. The rules say that people can’t know of our existence.” Bryan looks at Mr. Blackstone.
“Thing is Bryan, it wouldn’t hurt for people to know more about you. That is the reason I built my suit was to learn more about the supernatural and kill those that prey on humans.” Erin knew of Mr. Blackstone’s paranormal work.
“I think it might be a good idea as well Bryan. Since Mr. Blackstone’s people already know about the supernatural. Why not assign a few wolves and others to his team to protect them and to make sure they don’t let too much information out?” Leetha was looking at Bryan when she suggested that.
Job looks towards Bryan “if we go that route, I know a couple of wolves that would fit in with Mr. Blackstone’s team.”
Erin looks at her husband and punches him in the arm “already trying to get rid of me?”
Job just smiles “I said wolves, not glowing blue people.” He kisses her forehead.
Roberta was listening to everyone suggestions and thought it sounded reasonable. She looks towards her husband “I think it’s a good idea, Bryan. If Mr. Blackstone team has a few of us with them. It might be easier for them to travel into territory that they might get themselves killed in.”
Bryan looks at his wife and thinks about what she was suggesting. He’ll need to get council permission, but it was a working idea.
“I’ll suggest it to the council and see what they think. Until I get confirmation back from them. Would it be possible Job for Mr. Blackstone team to stay here?” Bryan looks towards Job to see what he thought.
“I don’t see why not. Erin can learn from them since she is still learning about our ways and can help them understand why we have rules.” He looks down at his wife to see what she thought.
“I don’t mind. I would love to talk with some of the other paranormal researchers and learn what they have done.” That was the main reason she constructed her suit, was to study the supernatural.
“Alright, let’s wake them up and bring them into this conversation.” Bryan wanted to hear what they had to say.
“They will go along with it, Mr. Hudson.” Trinity got a flash of what will happen.
Ginny and Stephen were out running in their animal forms. They had gotten permission from Bryan and Job to run around on their property. Job warned them not to attack any of their cattle.
Ginny was leading the run, while Stephen chased after her. She was enjoying being in her coywolf form. She runs a little faster to get away from Stephen. She was happy that Bryan had finally found his mate.
Ginny notices Rebecca and runs towards her. She liked the teenage girl and was amazed to learn she was extremely old. She yips barks at Rebecca and wags her tail.
Rebecca watches how silly Ginny was acting. She walks over and pets her. She has never seen anything like her.
Stephen barks at Rebecca to get her attention. He liked being petted as well.
Rebecca looks at Stephen “okay, I’ll pet you as well.”
Stephen wags his tail and jumps around like a newborn pup. He was having fun as he chases after a ball Rebecca tosses. He knew he was acting like an ordinary house dog, but he liked Rebecca. So, he didn’t mind chasing after the red rubber ball.
Ginny was sitting near Rebecca just watching Stephen. It was weird for her to watch him chase after a red rubber ball. Then again, Stephen was already weird.
Rebecca looks down at Ginny “do you like being a coywolf?”
Ginny changes and stands near Rebecca in the nude. Her change was faster than most Were’s.
“I have gotten used to it. I can’t say it was something I went after, but Bryan and the rest of the guys have been nice to me.” Ginny brushes aside some of her hair.
Rebecca glances over at Ginny and could see why the guys liked her. Her body showed she would be a proper mate for someone. She starts feeling the loss of her own mate.
He was a Were, just like her father. He had died during a bombing raid during World War II. They were trying to escape from the bombing raid and her mate wasn’t with them. He had been killed when the first bombs fell. She felt his death and the backlash from him dying all sudden. It nearly killed her.
If her mother hadn’t caught her and held her. She would have died as well. She and her mate’s bond had been very strong. So, when he was killed. It caused a massive backlash to her.
“Did you ever have a mate?” Ginny was curious about Rebecca.
“Yes, a long time ago.” Rebecca wipes some tears away from her eyes.
Roberta and Bryan:
Roberta looks at her image in the mirror and couldn’t get over how curvy she was. She loved the fact that she was whole, both physically and spiritually. She feels Bryan’s arms wrap his arms around her waist. She was still nude as he held her.
Bryan takes a deep breath of her scent and could tell that she was with child. After so long he had finally found his mate. He holds her tight and just enjoys feeling her body pressed against his.
Roberta places her hand on top of his “have you heard back from the council yet?”
“Yes, and they have approved of the idea of sending a representative with Andre’s paranormal researchers. One is coming from Ava’s group and another is coming from Esmeralda Lupas. The one coming from Ava’s group is her cousin. She is a Were-Lynx just like her. The one coming from Esmeralda Lupas is a well respected Were who has a degree in paranormal research.” Bryan figures they would be at the ranch in a day or two.
“Who is he?” Roberta was curious.
“Edward Alexander Warren, he’s been doing paranormal research almost as long as Andre has. The council felt he would make a good addition because most Were’s and vampires fear him.” Bryan meets him one time and he was a rather unusual person and Were.
“Who’s the Were-Lynx that is being sent with them?” Roberta didn’t even know there was such a thing as a Were-Lynx.
“She’s a cousin of Ava Wilson and from the same Native American Were-tribe Ava is a descendant from.” None of the council members had known there was a Native American tribe composed of Were-Lynx’s.
“Who’s Ava Wilson?” Roberta was curious.
“I really need to bring you up on all the different Were families. Ava Wilson is a very powerful Were. Her family has been intermarrying with the fae for centuries. They also are the only family around that still practices the ancient tradition of having their young mentored and raised by another Were group. The Chattan clan and the Hipamika clan were once fierce rivals until one of Ava’s family members made a pact with them.
The pack was any child born in the Chattan clan, must be a mentor by a member of the Hipamika clan and vice-versa. It stopped the rivalry between the two clans. However, they stopped the practice till Ava came along. She married into the Hipamika clan. The strange thing about the Wilson family line is that they carry the gene for producing a Were-Wolf, Were-cat or a half-fey in their blood. Even the Were’s they give birth too, are unusual because they aren’t affected by silver, but cold iron because of the fey blood in their veins. Their abilities and gifts are given to them from their fey blood” Bryan had volumes of books on them.
“Wow, they are that unusual?” Roberta was still learning about being a Were.
“Yes, they are one of the oldest and most unusual Were families around.” Bryan has met a few throughout the years.
“Why don’t we get dress and check on our wayward children.” Roberta turns around in his arms and kisses him.
Bryan returns the kiss as he holds her close. He and his wolf were happy.
Ginny was happy being back home. They still had places they had to visit, but Bryan wanted to get Roberta settled in her new home. She liked Roberta and knew the dynamics around the packed house was going to change.
She comes walking down from her bedroom in just a shirt and a pair of panties. She jumps when Stephen comes up from behind her and smack her on her ass.
“Ow! That hurt.” Ginny rubs the spot he just smacks.
“Well, maybe you should wear more clothing.” A mischievous grin appears on his face.
“I’m going to get you for that.” Ginny chases after Stephen inside the house.
“Behave children.” Roberta looks at Ginny and Stephen with a disapproval look on her face.
“Yes, ma’am.” Ginny stops chasing after Stephen.
Bryan had stood back to see what Roberta was going to do. He was happy that he finally had his mate. Now, their pack house will be whole and all he must do now is trained, Roberta. He was also proud of how Ginny had adapted to her new life.
She has accepted that she will never be normal again. He doesn’t think if he asked her, she would want to be normal again. He walks in and places a kiss on Roberta’s cheek.
Roberta smiles when she feels his lips on her cheek. She already knew he was standing nearby.
“So, how do you like your new home?” Bryan holds her in his arms.
“I love it.”
“I’m glad. So, what do you think of being the mother to two grown kids?” Bryan spotted Ginny smacking Stephen with a pillow, after being told
to stop.
Roberta looks over towards them “are they always like that?”
“Sometimes. Ginny works at the local junkyard and the bar on the weekend. Stephen has a trust fund and doesn’t work. However, he is a good
assistant. He’s also one of the four submissive wolves we have in the pack.” Bryan didn’t have many in the pack.
“How many females are in the pack?” Roberta was curious about that.
“Just you and Ginny are the only women in the pack.” Bryan figures it might be nice to have more women in the pack. He’ll have to ask around
to different packs to see if any of their women want to change location.
Ginny spotted Bryan and Roberta watches them “I think we better behave. Mom and dad are watching us.”
Stephen stops and looks towards Bryan and Roberta as well. He wonders what they were talking about.
“What do you think they are talking about?” Stephen looks towards Ginny.
“Who knows, but I’m glad Bryan found someone and I’m not the only girl now.” Ginny was happy she had someone else of the opposite sex in the pack.
“So, you have adjusted to the new you?” Stephen looks at Ginny to gauge her reaction.
“To tell you the truth, yes. I thought I would regret being changed, but I don’t think I would be happy if it wasn’t for you guys.” Ginny was glad she joined Bryan’s pack.
"Well, having you in the pack has made things interesting." Stephen knew Ginny has caused a lot fo the men in the group to respect women better.
