Sand Dollars’ next mission becomes personal for Alex- the result requiring the Empress to reveal herself. Some members of Alex’ crew finally realize their gifts and one in particular proves her metal on a special mission.

I really thank you for your very kind comments the really do help me a lot and make sure that I am on the right track with the story. Should I continue with the historical notes? I feel that the explain essence of life at this time.

I originally wrote this some 2 years ago then my muse departed so for some reason I couldn’t commit anything to paper, which meant that the story stopped at chapter 13 (superstitious?) Now my muse has returned and I find that I can continue but I was left with the problem of what to do whether to carry on and post chapter 14 in the hope people would pick up the story or repost from scratch. Having asked the opinions were varied and as a result I have decided to post up the chapter 13 at a episode every couple of days then after this a weekly posting – I hope you all approve.
I realise that the language of the time is difficult to read (and difficult to write) so I have done an amalgam of the vernacular of the time and modern speech patterns

THREE MONTHS LATER

“Stop being so nervous!” Dad admonishes me as I nearly hyperventilate on the back seat of his car. “This is something you want to do, it’s something you know you’ll be good at, so the sooner you relax and start enjoying it, the better.”

“I know, I know,” I breathe, fanning myself with my hands. “It’s just- it’s just all so new!”

“Well get used to it, because that’s life for you,” dad states bluntly.

Chapter 3
The move

I spent the next few hours packing the kitchen and my stuff. Ben arrived late that night. Something was different about him. I could not put my finger on it but it was there. I really did not want him to change now. My life was throwing too many curve-balls lately as it is. I told him about the sale and the move. His reaction was a shrug and to start packing. This made me think something was defiantly wrong! I decided to let him be for now. I could find out what was wrong when we were settled in the new cabin.

Alexia and Johnathyn make their way to Glory where Alexia reveals her return to the world. She joins the Queen's Guard as they fight to restore order to the land. Alexia feels compelled to take a more active role, leading to fearsome success on the part of the Guard and a horrific response from First Minister Dupree. Donna White finally acquires the evidence she needs to prove that Alex Thompson and Lance Mastiff are one and the same. Alex, his new family and friends invade the office of The Consortium to confront the people who ordered the deaths of his mother and brother. Alexia, Johnathyn and Dierdra continue towards Glory, picking up allies as they go. The conspiracy continues to develop but a traitor appears. Both Johnathyn and Alexia have misgivings as to the direction the revolt against the Queen is taking and the decide that they may have to go their own way. I was torn between an R and X rating due to the extreme body modifications and their connection to bestiality. I don't think I have crossed the line but some may be upset.

Jimmy Samson was fascinated by gangster films. His big secret was that what he really liked were the gangster's girlfriends, the molls. Secret? Well he fancied being one.

A story based in the English east Midland's coal field in the late 1940s. Warning - there may be some minor language problems but I'm sure you'll work it out.
