Another Olympiad over

and to be honest, I've not really been following the coverage but I do know that Team GB claimed the cycling crown with 6 golds out of the 22 on offer, 1 ahead of the Netherlands, the only other nation to win more than 1 event. Overall our tiny islands came in fourth behind the behemoths of the US and China with host nation Japan getting home advantage for third although with a smaller total medal count, the UK's 22 golds more than twice that of any other European nation. But as they say, Its not the winning but the taking part that counts - but winning is nice!
Other stuff, well its been a week blighted by changeable weather, to translate for non Brits, there's been a fair bit of wet! I got wet on Thursdays shortish, well 82km, ride, I suffered a similar fate on yesterdays blackberrying walk and didn't escape entirely on todays 100+km spin. Hopefully the coming week will see some better weather so I'm hoping for some more adventurous rides.
Away from exercise, well I've already posted about my brush with debit card fraud but I haven't told you about killing my camera on Tuesday, a drop has dislodged something inside so I'm sans optical picture device for the time being. I do have another one but of course that's in storage back in Yorkshire so I'm bgrd until I go again, which is looking like late September. sigh
So todays posting is chapter 16 of Ontario, Explained.
I've had no response re posting more, updated Gaby so as there is clearly no appetite i'll not waste my time so for now ar least i'll just continue posting Ontario on Sundays.
Well that's it for now, sorry its a bit late in the day,
Tak,
