So often I see blogs from authors talking about their stories. Maybe they're bemoaning the number of comments or kudos. Maybe they're talking more generally.

But so rarely do they provide a link to the story. If I click on their name, it doesn't take me to a page showing their titles.

They may think everyone knows the story they're talking about. We don't. Please provide a link so we can quickly look up your story.

Maybe I'm crazy...

But I seem to remember that at one time when you clicked on an author's name it took you to their author page. Or, maybe I'm drinking drano again.

At least on the author's own page it shows you all their stories.

~And so it goes...

Author and Member Names different

If you click on the author name, the first category link just above the story or teaser box, it will take you to a listing of stories by that author as a teaser list. If you click on the member name after the submitted by slug, it will take you to the member page for that member. Even if the author and member names are written and spelled alike, they are different things in the database. It has worked like this for about ten years. :)

Not just links, but also expand acronyms

I second the request made by Charlotte, that it would be nice to provide the link to the start of the story mentioned.

And I would like to expand it, in the sense that if you are referring to a story by some acronym, then please provide us at least once with the full name (or definition). That might catch some new readers. Since I find myself very reluctant to try a story based just on an acronym. But a name might just intrigue me enough to go read a new story, especially if it happens to be a new (to me) author.
