Was Holly H Hart your editor too?

Printer-friendly version

I'm working on a project, and will carry through on it all on my own if necessary.

I was asked by Holly to edit what she called her "Magnum Opus." The title: "The Second Time Around." It's possible there's a later copy than I have, she mentioned one or two others were also editing it. My particular task was continuity and to eliminate any technological anachronisms. I'm sure she asked me to tackle that due to my own disability.

There are some gaps, most of which are covered in two "backstories." I remembered it being almost error free (at least within what I'd been asked to do), those who've had Holly as editor know how meticulous she was. However, reading it through again I was dismayed at the number of little things that need correcting.

The story chronicles two lives. The first is a Vietnam Vet who lost his legs, then suffers a stroke, and dies. The second person is a 11 year old girl in an almost vegetative state until she wakes up with the memories and personality of the 50 year old man.

It's a very touching story. If you read it you wouldn't forget it. I'd like to gather a group of writers whose stories were edited by Holly and finish stitching it together.

If you would be willing to help in any way, please Message me. ESPECIALLY the other two editors, I really need you if your still around!!

I'm still looking for her executor. If she had one, I haven't found him/her.

Love, Hugs, and Blessings,
Beth
