I've been getting frequent errors when commenting on posts: "The form has become outdated. Copy any unsaved work in the form below and then reload this page." What's going on? This last time, it got me about half a dozen times. It happened again just now.

I been having the same problem. Piper is aware and will work on it today(Saturday). 10 tries to post this.

I get the same error as well, the best solution I have found is copy the contents of the comment section refresh and try and post again and just paste the comment back in until it goes through and it will eventually.
And it happened while posting this response, too.

Perseverance
I've found that trying repeatedly eventually lead to a successful posting. In my case I have found that it's not necessary to copy and retry. I just keep hitting the button (and retry and retry).
Having said that I'm very grateful for the team behind this site. This only shows how much problem we usually DON'T encounter thanks to their efforts.
This works for me too
and it is much easier than the copy and paste and retry method. I now ignore the message about an expired page and simply press the Submit button again. And again. And again. I think once or twice it has taken as many as 10 retries at times to get the message submitted but doing it this was has ALWAYS worked for me so far.
This problem is almost certainly related to the hardware problems that Erin and Piper are working on. Hopefully they will eventually solve these issues. In the mean time, the work around is to RESUBMIT over and over and over until it works.
I only get it on this site.
Even clearing my browser cache does not always solve it. {hoping that this post works :) }

It's been happening to me as well. I didn't make the connection, but it's quite plausible.
Now, dyslexic that I am, I realize that I've pranked myself. I keep seeing the thread title "Form Has Expired" as an error message.

Just as an FYI sometime this morning, before Amy had her injury, I took BC back from a 3-headed beast to a 1 headed beast, till I can figure out what server was having time issues. We are sacrificing some performance, but we shouldn't be having the stale form issue anymore.
