Many states, including my own Oklahoma, are following Hitler's plans for an Aryan race or something likewise.. Rep Stewart's bill would require all Oklahoma voters to re-register, show birth certificate. http://tinyurl.com/3ece444c Keeping in mind Oklahoma via Stitt's exec order, birth certificates can't be changed. I have six government IDs with photo including a Passport, Commercial Driver's License with national ID, Military, etc. and even a social security card identifying who I am. What I do not have is an Oklahoma birth certificate agreeing with all my other identifications because of Gov Stitt's exec order. I wouldn't be able to vote in Oklahoma. As if my vote as one of the smallest minorities would count anyway.
I have the feeling we are the Canary in the coal mine, political test and who better to fill that need besides the smallest minority who has no political clout. I want to mention some of the women who have forged a path ahead of us. April Ashley, Lynn Conway, Coccinelle, Caroline Cossey, and so many others. Don't let what they have done for all of us be in vain.

That when extremists begin to take the rights away from one minority group, it is just that - it is only the beginning!
Those who identify as transgender are simply the easiest minority to attack at this time in history, but who is next? Will it be the rest of the LGBT community? Will it be the AAPI community? They are already being attacked in increasing numbers. Will it be the Jewish community? Recent events show that they are also, yet again, becoming a popular whipping boy for the radical right.
In the words of Benjamin Franklin, “We must all hang together, or assuredly we shall all hang separately.”
Dr. Franklin was referring to our founding fathers being hanged for treason against the crown, but his sentiments apply just as much now as they did some 250 years ago. Some truths never change.

There are some legislators both in Congress and at the states level who have submitted bills to reverse Brenner v. Scott from the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Florida. The court ruled the state's same-sex marriage ban unconstitutional on August 21, 2014.
In addition, we face at least two Justices on the Supreme Court of the US, Justices Alito and Thomas, who have argued against Same-Sex marriage rights.

Dangers of “extremists”
Paraguay has long been a very conservative and catholic country. Until 1992 the Catholic Church was the official religion recognized by the Constitution, and until the early 1980's any and all protestant and evangelical religious groups or churches were barely tolerated if not outright persecuted. The favorite tactic was for catholic churches and chapels to mount bull-horn type speakers in their towers and blast live or recorded services over the whole neighborhood, especially during the meeting times of those “damned evangelicals spawned by the Devil himself”.
After the ousting of the dictator in 1989 and the start of liberalization brought on by democracy, many evangelical preachers and pastors in the very early 1990s started preaching against the sins of sex and sexual perversions of adultery, gays, lesbians and prostitution. Very soon the trans spectrum and any kind of gender variance got included as well.
By the mid 2010s this anti-sex rhetoric had spilled over into the social media realm and become so radicalized, that church members started asking in public forums on social media: “Pastor, are you saying that I should get myself a gun and go shoot any homo pervert I find?”
After a few more of these very embarrassing incidents, the religious rhetoric became more subtle though it remained as intolerant as ever.
To this day the Government refuses to recognize the right of freedom from discrimination for gender expression written into the “Declaration of Human Rights from San Juan” that was ratified by Paraguay.
Even though there have been a few cases where the courts granted a change of the sex marker, the Attorney General (not a cabinet position) has appealed every one of those and managed to get the change stayed or overturned.

So, as usual, you get the government you voted for.
He came into power because the conservatives/fascists voted him in.
So, blame the voters, especially single issue voters (be it abortion, guns etc) who held their nose/ignored the other positions who ultimately are against their own interests, who voted for him and his party.
If he is up for election then vote against him and the mob that supports him.
