Suddenly it is. Just one of those odd things to do with time zones and global positioning. I'm always a bit ambivalent about New Years. It's supposed to be a beginning, new horizons and all. With maybe a pinch of sorrow to farewell the old one and its happenings.

Not that simple of course most of the time. But hey… what the hell. It's a chance to do and be as you wish, it's next year and you'll have to remember to put '08 instead of '07. So I'm dancing around the room with a glass of bubbly stuff in hand .. Steely Dan if you must know… some nice funky rhythms and class playing.

To all those that wander this way and read or comment or even write or all of the above. Not all is everyone's and never will be but there's room and that's a good thing. Should be more of it don't ya think.

So… another year and I hope that it's good for everyone. May love find you or stay with you.
Happy New Year everyone.

Love
Kristina

Year In, Year Out.

I do my utmost to be ill natured and generally unpleasantly curmudgeonly at the New Year. I am not sure why unless it is a natural reaction to mass rejoicings. Or conceivably an innate observance to Newton's Third Law. Which I suppose comes to the same thing. Or it may just be that I live in fear of someone asking me to don a paper hat and enjoy myself. UUUgghhhhh! A sort of defence mechanism to discourage the jolly folk from coming within a country mile of me.

So before the black dog sneaks in at the midnight hour for our traditional tryst, before I am indeed embroiled in Next Year, I would like to join in wishing everyone a fantastically happy and prosperous 2008 in which each may find their heart's desire.

With special good wishes to Erin, Sephrena, Shannon, and all those who make BC the special place it is. And to Kristina herself who seems to find time to help so many. And the others of her ilk. And all the authors, writers, story tellers, occasional scribblers, etc. May their pens never still!

Damn it I will even include the readers, especially those who comment, but even those who don't - in the fond hope that one day they will.

A Happy New Year to You All.

Hugs,

Fleurie.

Still nearly a twelve hour to wait.

Gwen Even after having been to Kenya, Israel, Honduras and Bangkok, I still find it absolutely fascinating that it can be another time in your part of the world, yet, I know it to be the same absolute instant as it is here. It is a problem in theoretical physics that I shall never comprehend. I do wish you a jolly future time. Here's hoping that at some also future date, you shall deign to turn to wordsythy again ? :)

Out with the old

...and in with the new.

I would like to echo Fleurie's comment that everyone, every the miserable old buggers (of which I feel I am one) should get a Happy New Year!

May 2008 be the year where the positive happens. I know it can't happen for everyone for as we all know, one persons positive is another's negative, but I think there's room for everyone here to get something good out of the new year and not upset anyone else.

For all those who are not part of this amazing site - let them find their own good fortune!

Big up to Erin, Sephrenia and anyone else who keep the virtual cogs in this place greased and all moving in sympathy - Respect!

Lastly if you're gonna drink (or am I preaching to the converted here?) then for God's sake don't take the car...

Love to all of you (yes all of you)
