So I had that dream yesterday...
I was a relative of a deceased wealthy someone. Then I had strange things happen to my calves... But reason for this will be obvious in several lines...
Next I tried to help to investigate that death... And there was an interesting plot with murder of the vitness disguised as the death of the one of the "bad guys" at the hands of the one of the "bad guys" (who was female and my ex in that dream)...
Then there was a woman who was either fashion designer or some kind of fashion models agent who was involved... And for some reason I was asked to try to be fashion supermodel... And I tried to explain that I am male so I will need some help in hips and boobs departments... And I was led to the changing room with some lacy confection for my first change of clothes...
And that when my left calve muscle had mother of most cramps... And it seems that smaller cramps preceedind the main one caused some nasty images to infiltrate main storyline of my dream :-)
And that is why I remembered most of that dream... And it is just one mild example of the things I watch while I sleep :-)
If I was able to record those storylines I would have being one of the richest screenplay authors ever :-)

Did your body get the actual

Did your body get the actual cramps while you were sleeping? With a couple notable exceptions, when I'm feeling something in my dream, it's actually happening to my body.

Excercise

You must exercise more and make sure your magnesium is sufficient.

Orange juice may help.

I have leg cramps. I found a glass, or two, of orange juice right before bed helps prevent me from having leg cramps.

Potassium and magnesium can help prevent leg cramps. Good sources include bananas, green vegetables, nuts, beans, avocados, yogurt, citrus fruits and tomato paste. Raw tomatoes, yes, but in a reversal of most nutrition facts, processed tomatoes have higher values for some nutrients because of the breakdown of troublesome proteins.

Here's a weird trick like the internet is full of: when feeling a stubborn leg cramp, I sprinkle some salt or sugar on the back of my hand and lick it off. Leg cramp is immediately eased for me. I have no idea why it works, or if it works as well for other people, but it appears to be something to do with the impact of sudden intense taste.

The other things to do to prevent leg cramps are to drink plenty of fluids and to prevent chills of the lower limbs while sleeping.

Hugs,
Erin

Interesting...

Thanks for the reply, Erin.

Though, be aware that one has to be be careful taking potassium supplements. It is easy to overdose and that can easily stop the heart.

Also, potassium filters out of the body within a few days. The safest way to maintain potassium levels is to eat foods with it. Which Erin here, was kind enough to list.

Thanks to everyone for advice...

I tried almost everything over the last 30+ years about calves cramps. But, as was the name of the King's book and movie: "Sometimes they come back". :-) Best thing I found is huge amounts of brasil nuts. But they are rare and expensive in these parts and they are not helping with keeping my weight in check :-)
But mostly my post was about things I see every night :-) One of the reasons I don't go to the movies anymore ;-)
Another thing was that that dream was extremely detailed, colourfull (I don't remember ever having B&W dream, but that one was exceptionally vivid), and very much like a story from this site where random guy gets roped in as girl model :-) Too bad it was interrupted before I could see what I looked like in the nice dress :-)
PS: I am still a bit jealous about hair growth speed in the most of the stories... I'm more or less growing my hair for more than 2 years and it still just about to my shoulders... :-)
