I am seeking advice on several fronts and I will break it down as follows.

1. First I am trying to lose a great deal of weight and I am pretty sure that my medications may be inhibiting this, they are spironolactone, adderal, risperidone, and clomipramine. I really want to lose weight before I transition.

2. My motivational skills are terrible, I get depressed easily and give up. I am looking for an efficient regimen and some help improving my motivation skills. I am getting more depressed every year and it is starting to look like I might not make it to the end of this year if I don't manage to make some major changes to my life.

2. Second I am trying to find out how I can get hair removal covered by insurance and if so what insurance will cover it. I would also like to get that taken care of before I start my transition.

ps. My aunt suggested I start yoga

the only advice I can give concerns time management. create a daily schedule, get on it and STAY ON IT.

exercise
shower,etc.
breakfast
business
voice training
lunch

dinner
recreation
exercise

bath
bedtime
something like that. some of those things you can do together.

Regular exercise

can help reduce depression and thus help to tone your mind as well as your body. It won't help you lose weight unless you do huge amounts of it, only eating less does that, but it helps to give discipline to the other things and makes you feel better.

Get a bike and use it! Why a bike? Well there are lots of reasons but some really are pertinent ; use it for transport instead of the car for short trips, it's less easy to ignore than running shoes, it's low impact - which is really important if you are carrying some extra kg's, you don't need any specialist facilities to do it, it's great for improving your mental state,

Well that's a start - good luck

I would have to relearn

I apparently forgot how to ride a bike because I haven't ridden in 18 years :(

They sell adult-sized Trikes.

They sell adult-sized Trikes. They're great! No balance required, and you can stop and rest whenever you want. And they have a large basket
between the rear wheels for shopping bags, or a cooler with ice.

I've Used Risperidone and Clomipramine

And both of them made me extremely hungry. I think risperidone is an antipsychotic and clomipramine is an old-fashioned tricyclic antidepressant. All the antipsychotics I know of make one extremely hungry, but I don't think one needs them unless they're paranoid or seeing and hearing things that aren't there. I don't know why you're using a tricyclic AD, most peeps find SSRIs more effective. Prozac, in fact, tends to make users lose weight. Are you getting these psych drugs from a psychiatrist? If you can't get prozac from er, I'd switch doctors. An effective AD should make you feel more motivated; you can also use therapy to attack your depression.

Buying and using a bike for everyday transportation can really change your life. As you get stronger and in better shape your depression will be reduced. Look for beginner group rides for more fun, motivation to ride the whole way and friendship. There may be other ladies riding to lose weight.

Hugs and Bright Blessings,
Renee

wieght lose

I lost 90 pounds by walking. I started at twenty minutes a day and slowly increased it to one and a half hours a day. I felt better and a side effect was that I wasn't as hungry as before. Good luck.
