Just posted the Chapter 53 of Time on My Hands, this is the 1 year anniversary of it's start. I hope you've been enjoying it.

Second item is I started a part time job driving school buses this week. It's been rough getting up early for the morning run after 2 1/2 years of retirement & sleeping in.

As I've promised to Erin, I'm going to double my Patron donation using part of the pay. I'm doing my best to support BC and urge others to do the same.

very rewarding

I drove a bus for a school in New York and it was a very rewarding and fun time, of course I had grades 4 and 5 morning and afternoon. My other run was a private girls school with door to door service of young ladies age 13 to 18.
Enjoying your stories and you enjoy driving. The extra money is always nice as well

Been there, done that

I can empathize with you. I retired from driving truck and found myself getting bored. Like you, I got used to waking up when I felt like it and often lounging around in bed for a while before getting up. There were days when neither my wife nor I got out of our nightgowns. Last September I started driving school bus. Getting up a 5:00 AM took a bit of getting used to.

I drive and 78 passenger bus, have 19 stop on a rural highway. My students range from kindergarten to 12th grade. Mostly, they are good kids, but there a few who need more attention. Have been to two parent conferences to deal with the troublesome kids.

Over all, I like the job.

Hugs
Patricia
